The range is what wont do it for me with an electric car. low range plus the fact to get to a full charge i'd have to charge for hours (vs petrol car, at most 10 mins fill up and I can have a pie or two).

Hybrids are the way to go.

top gear being biased or not, there is no way in the world that i would ever get an electric car, in my opinion, they are pointless. you can only buy it california so what do you do if your going to go on a road trip out of state and the only car you can afford is the Leaf, you can't. they should just stick to hybrids instead

I guess it just so happened that what they're saying sort of coincided with what I already felt about those "cars". I know that these guys are not to be taken seriously, but, again, this time my thoughts and opinions coincided with what they said. That's all :)))
