My video response is a walkthrough, completing this entire mission alone with AI, in 21 minutes, with over 70 kills. The mission is easy if you take an AAVP yourself and avoid the enemy mortar fire zone, then take and hold the high ground overlooking the village.

holy shit...this was a hard ass mission..here is how i did it..not the best but meh it worked! First..get someone to man the machine gun (not medic)...than get the medic and the other guy to "defend" a position INSIDE a house...order them all to fire at will...than you need to haul ass and plant some claymores to the RIGHT of the machine gunner..where all those bastards try to flank you from..plant as many as you can because there are atleast 3 waves that come that way..than you...

i killed 2 of the other A.I characters from a diffrent squad, so i could get the M16(marksman) and the m21(sniper) its alot easier once you can put rounds down range before the enemy even gets close

I lost my APCs, but i ran up the left side wiht my squad (after laying claymores in the village) then pined them between the claymores and our gun fire.

Lost only one guy, and that was cause on of our squad mates didn't like him i guess..

what I do, just in case they breach the village, is set up claymores and whatnot around the village and at the doors of the houses.

LOL! I was able to beat the village without any APC's. Sure I lost my squad and had only 2 surviving allies from another squad. But I beat it with out any APC help on hardcore. :p

I played this game on hardcore on my first playthrough and this was prob the hardest mission. Really what you gotta do is be perfect before this part comes up. Try not to lose any APC's at all and they will be a huge support. Personally I manned the Stat. MG when enemies came directly infront of me. I put one guy overlooking the right flank specifically and the other two I put on a defend order which means that they will patrol the area and make sure there are no enemies about, don't forget that

@bishboshj its been a month since you posted ur comment any luck yet?try using your squad to use the two machine guns then let the medic in you side always then you should be on the right flank just to counter their flank.stick to single fire mode,lay down and you will see them before they get to you,dont woory on the other side if the support dies then move but be sure you clear your sector on the right

i just kept trying and finally got it,

i did more or less like this video exept, the chopper landed next to the building because the pilot was killed but the gunner was still alive and able to keep shooting through the mission

this game its unrealistic the enemy in this mission runs to 2 like in ww II carrying bayonets sice i know the modern warfares are from medium to long range gunfights and have more chances to die being sincere we'd complete this mission if the IA doesnt approaches to 2 like cruzades cuz having a gunfight we'd kikck their yellow asses once and ance again

look i do really like this game i play all the time but i believe it could have been a lot more realistic. and it is not the most realistic game ever made. you cant turn your head while driving. the compass is a unrealisrtic. the AI call out enemies through bushes they cannot see, you automaticly load youy gun. you cannot waste magazines by reloading to early, ifinate field dressins mean you can take loads of bullets.

and yeah i played ghost recon 1 i liked that, say if you had like 20 rounds left and 3 mags and reloaded you would have just wated 20 rounds which is like almost a full mag, people reload to much these days, only spies make sure they have full ammo

The first ghost recon was great. After that all of them got crappy. And everyone reloads so much because in call of duty and halo and crap like thta you have an ammount of bullets and not mags...as opposed to real life where you only have three mags, three times to reload. and then you're out.

I'm stuck on this mission too. The spotters always find my apc's before I can stop them. I manage to stop the AT teams but the mortars just destroy them instead. Plus, the squad AI can be infuriatingly retarded at times.

yes you have to beed very agressive when you get to the Farm house, you cant allow yourself to be pinned down at all. and yes the AI guys can be great at times and retarded at others. in this vid you can see my AI machine gunner holding down the left flacnk basically by himself, but in the first vid you can see him shoot me in the back of the head. set up a server and play with real humans if possible :D

How come the enemy didn't break through to the north of the village? Whenever I play this they do. What gives?

could be a few reasons. most likely is that you are not keeping your armored escort alive during the earlier part of the mission. In this vid we have 3 of the 4 original APCs still running and supporting us. it is very important that you keep those guys alive! best way is to be very aggressive in the early part of the mission. also it isnt shown in the vid put i place 4 claymores behind us to protect our backs just in case. it isnt shown for time reasons but that may help you as well.
