It's not because a single guitarist is heavily influenced by American guitarists that a whole country is world champion in copying. As far as I'm concerned, Korea is one of the most innovative and technologically advanced country in the world, I wouldn't call that copying.

Downtown may be the most overlooked korean hard rock band in the early 90's, along with Avalanche. It could be good and bad for him to be a member of NEX.T, but if Kim Se-Hwang hadn't decided to play in NEX.T, he might have become the most top rock guitar virtuoso in Korea.
wow this is really good (I came here randomly looking him up after an interview where he talked about the guitar skills of Kim Hyun Joong)
