  • well.did billy get lucky yet?

  • @warmachine1770 Not sure. Billys are very quick so it;s hard to catch them in the act. We will know nest month if Annie goes into heat or not.

  • Goat barn looks good, nice job.

  • @TheMonkeykun Thanks. It has worked really good so far.

  • Can you say baaaaaaaaaaaa

had a couple goats that were very well none...

  • Heheh...yer gonna hafta dig a shallow hole for the ladies to step down into, or fashion some kinda crazy platform, to give that little guy a boost! Sucks the cougar got to your goats, but at least you don't have to worry about that one coming back. I'm sure it's never fun to have to shoot a large predator like that, but when they start eating your livestock, they cross that line.

  • @creekdalton I figured I'd make him some stilts to wear for the occasion. I dont mind having predators around but when they cross the line, they will die!

  • goats i always been told they are hard headed and stinky butted, i guess that is so true huh...Spm

  • @SnyderPointMan You are right on!

  • Great Range ; ) cool video, my friends! All the best, Sepp

  • @Waldhandwerk Thanks Sepp

  • Goats like to have something they can climb on. You should put some big rocks or dead trees inside the fence. Greets lilly

  • @alonewolverine1984 Hello Lilly. In the lower part of the field, there is a large fallen tree that they love climbing on. You cant see it in the video. I would like to put some big rocks in there though. Thanks. Dan

  • The new gentleman looks a little puzzled among all those huge ladies - I hope he won't come out traumatized from this mission.

Good luck for your new baby goats!

  • @steintanz He is probably overwhelmed with the possibilities. Now if he was a bit taller...

  • Congratulations to your blushing brides and one very happy groom! May you have many bouncy little baby goats soon! : o) (baby goats are my favorite farm babies)

  • @saradreaming Thank you. They are a lot of fun

  • Ewwwwww!

  • @redwoodfox was it something I said?... :)

  • "Isn't that disgusting..." Exactly what I was thinking!

Around here folks like to keep Great Pyrenees dogs in with their goats and sheep to ward off coyotes. Reckon that would work at all against a cougar? Or are the cats fairly fearless?

  • @IHatchetJack People around here keep llamas with them. I guess they will kick a coyotes brains out! I close them our goats up securely at night now. Cougars will run easily if scared but will keep returning if they find easy prey. They mostly work at night but the other day one killed 14 goats nearby in the middle of the day! They did track it down and kill it. They are unpredictable it seems.

  • @gotrocksinhead I bet they didn't skin theirs with a stone blade! Speaking of which, did you ever tell us how the cougar meat fared?

  • @IHatchetJack It fared well. A pink mild tasting meat that reminds of beef with a triffle less flavour. Very tasty!

  • Go Billy Go!!!!

  • @busycando he's trying!

  • Makes me miss my milk goats.

  • @ConnerPlainLiving They are a lot of fun
