  • how much was this rifle where you live. if i take a ruger 10-22 with a 80 dollar scope to my local gun shop how much will i have left to pay.

  • @straightupbuck I don't know how to answer that because prices vary depending on where you buy the rifle. The carbine model should be anywhere from about $200-250 depending on where you get it and what kind of price you can work out. So the whole deal should be less than $400 after taxes. That is just a guess though, check around and don't forget to check online.

  • i think i'm going to go buy a M&P 15-22 tomorrow. been wanting to get one for a long time

  • @truepyro28 You will love it. Lots of fun to shoot.

  • rugar sr22, s&w m&p 15-22, or hk 416 22?

  • @xxDevilDog43xx I can't say about the HK. I haven't had any experience handling or shooting it. But between the SR22 and the M&P 15-22 I prefer the M&P.

  • whats happening to all of these i hear tons of people saying that they shipped it back because of it jamming??? well cant you fix it

  • @911airsoftdude That was the early ones. It was a problem with the extractor and the spring tension. If you bought one now you wouldn't have any problems. Mine was one of the first models and I had to send it in. It was cool though because they gave me a bunch of free magazines and now it runs great.

  • @Mattsplat1975 Feel the same way 15-22 awesome riflr. I have 2 10-22s and the S&W it wins hands down. Only thing that sucks is my state limits mag size.

  • @tangocharlie11 LOL I live in Canada and we dont even have a magazine capacity restriction on rimfire rifles! Do you live in Kalifornia or something?

  • @DickCheneyXX Almost as bad, have to buy Kali mags because S&W isn't going to make a mag for each state.

  • @tangocharlie11 On the other hand, we get shafted on all semi-automatic centre fire rifles... 5 round max, except for the M1a1/M14 ( I know, it makes no sense)

Oh and the M&P 15/22 is a ''restricted firearm'' because... it looks like a AR-15. My 10/22 with a tapco stock is not restricted...

God I hate those gun laws.

  • @DickCheneyXX We can go 15 rounds for all mags. No bayonet lugs either since all the gang bangers use bayonets to rob stores. Just bought a red dot to go on the 15-22.

  • could you send me a link for a cheap one if there is one all i found is full retail

  • @589h Sorry, I don't have any links. You just have to shop around until you find the best price you can. Try gunbroker or gunsamerica.

  • @Mattsplat1975 ok i found a camo mossberg tactical 22 do you think i should buy it i dont wanna spend alot for a gun likke yours

  • @589h The .223 and the .308 camo mossbergs are featured in this months issue of American Rifleman. I don't own any Mossbergs, and I have never even held the tactical .22 so I don't want to say yes or no. Go a head and get it and be my guinea pig. Tell me how you like it.

  • @Mattsplat1975 ok i will i dont have all the spare money rite now so im sellin guitars and things so itll be a while but i will tell you

  • o my god i love that ruger how much u pay 4 it?

  • @MrIRESPECTwomen Around $250 if I remember right. The Stock was added after and it was an additional $160 or so. I might be a little off on those numbers it was a year and a half ago, maybe more. Looks good though, huh? Perfect girl gun. It is just a bit heavy with that stock though.

  • I have a ruger 1022 and use the steel lips mags and run federal bulk through it without 1 issue. great fun gun to shoot

  • @Dirthopper6 I wish I could say that same. I still have a jam now and then with mine.

  • .22 really????

why have a design from the M4 and use .22 rounds?

     but looks cool

  • lol at 5:15

  • i want this gun 10 times more now thank you

  • @XxDaRiotNinjaxX Get it and enjoy. The newer ones are nicer than mine. They come with a flash suppressor now (rock!).

  • Remington waxes all there ammo so they will gunk up any repeater you try to put it through.....great revolver ammo but other than that its usless

  • how much did you pay for the smith and wesson

  • @dewey173 $400 but that was a year ago.

  • My only beef with the swmp22 is that it has alot of polymer parts. I like my rifles to be made of all metal.

  • @BillyOwnsTrevor Yeah, and lots of people say that but it would be a really hefty gun if it was all metal. I personally love how light this rifle is. So much fun.

  • What would you recommend, The M&P 15-22 or the Sig 522? Im looking to get either the Magpul MoE M&P or the Swat 522 edition. Just wondering =)

  • I own a mp-15 22 and I must say it is a great reliable rifle that resembles and functions just like an AR. Ive put roughly 600 rounds through mine both FMJ and HP and it has been flawless. I definarely recommend this gun to anyone, very fun to shoot, and you can shoot it all day with the very low ammo price.

  • I love this gun. BUT, in Canada, unfortunately, since its based on the AR platform, it is on the restricted firearms list. so the only place you can shoot this puppy is at the range. no gophers, no rabbits, just shooting the paper.

But yet, the SR-22 isn't....completely dumb, no say the least.

  • @simsghost Isn't that just the stupidest thing ever? A semi-auto .22 is a semi-auto .22 no matter what kind of frame you put it in. So a Ruger 10/22 is ok but an M&P 15-22 is somehow a dangerous weapon that must be restricted. I wish we could pitch all the politicians into the ocean.

  • @simsghost be happy they allow it where you live

  • Have any experience with the Remington 597? It seems like a good option and it's a little cheaper.

  • @thebasketball3000 I don't, sorry. Seems kind of like the Ruger SR22. Looks cool though. Doesn't look like it has the function of an AR though. That is what I liked about the M&P 15-22

  • @thebasketball3000

Tried both the 10-22 and the Rem 597 and hands down you probably want to go for the 10-22. With the same ammo, the 597 jammed much more often. Also, if you wanna customize it (which most people want), the ruger has a ton more options.

  • @Mroldmcdonald1 If you are talking about the 15-22, it had issues with the extractor early on in production. That issue has been fixed.

  • Nice rifles, I personally like both models and have plans on getting the M&P 15-22P. Thanks for sharing

  • @awomansworld123 They are both great rifles and I highly recommend both but for different uses. For AR training on the cheap, you can beat the 15-22. For a rock-solid plinker, the 10-22 is champ.

  • I have this gun and i was able to shoot a dragon fly out of the air with it with open sights it sounds hard to believe but its true i recommend this gun to anyone.

  • @ID3fyG0dz Glad you agree. Ha ha. Thanks.

  • @Mattsplat1975 I am having an issue and was wondering if you could shed some light...i have the ability to get the ruger 10/22 carbine for $217 from walmart...on the other side I have the S&W m&p15-22 from cabelas (on the site it said 480 bucks) I was just wondering your thoughts on this one...I love both of these rifles and can't decide...im not horribly tight on money but I also don't want to spend a fortune. Thank you.

  • @Spillah21 I wish I could say that one is clearly better than the other but it really depends on what you are looking for. If you just want a tough as nails plinker that is accurate and reliable, go with the Ruger. If you want a little more fun or if you want to do some AR training, the S&W is the way to go. The 15-22 has the coolness factor but the 10/22 has the dependable history and the price-point. But rest assure, no matter which you choose, both are great guns. I hope that helped.

  • @Mattsplat1975 thanks a lot you gave me exactly what i needed to make my decision...went to gun shop and found 15-22 for $75 less so yesterday i went and picked it up..this one had compensator and threaded barrel..very happy with performance..thank you for your informative vids..keep it up.

  • @Spillah21 Hey thanks, man! Glad I could help. I am jealous. Back when I bought mine they didn't have the threaded barrels with the flash supressor. Enjoy your new rifle, I think you will love it.

  • Hey man what was the promlem with it, I have shoot about 2000 rounds throw mine and I haven't had no problems with it except for the ever so often jam.

  • @CJracinginc : Mine was one of the early ones that had a problem with the extractor and recoil spring (so I am told). I sent it back for repairs and it runs great now. Runs flawlessly with everything I have tried but Remington Golden Bullet bonus packs. That ammo is garbage.

  • im thinking about getting this gun and what ammo do u recomend 4 it

  • those look fukin aswome

  • hey did you ever clean this gun . because i dont know how.

  • @ryan97303 I keep getting requests for a cleaning video for this rifle so I will make one as soon as I can.

  • Hey bro nice vids.I just got my mp 15/22 and its awesome but I haven't seen any cleaning vids I imagine its just like a real ar but I'd appreciate it if you'd do a video on cleaning the mp 15/22

  • @956Mas I actually did one! But it was 11 minutes long and YouTube yanked it off. Lame, huh? I will do a new one next week if I get the time. I plan to make a few videos next week if we get the weather to go shooting again.

    Thanks, bro!

  • @956Mas Oh, hey, the new videos are on a different channel. Sub to GunReviewsDotBiz. I will post it there. There are some cool reviews and a Tannerite shooting video up on that channel already.

  • Thanks Mattsplat1975, got it. I think of this one as my first choice.

  • @svrblk777 Good. Hope you enjoy it.

  • Cool looking rifle with knock off scope. Can you tell me the exact identical item or seller from ebay? I absolutely agreed don't want to spend more than the cost of the rifle. Thanks and I appreciate your video.

  • @svrblk777 G&P is the brand. ALLTEAMGO is a seller that I just looked up. $49 with free shipping. Have fun!

  • how much did it cost? and where did you get it?

  • I got a good deal and with tax it was just under $400. I think it is going for more like $450 before tax now. I bought it at a place called Impact Guns in Ogden, Utah.

  • @Mattsplat1975 ok thanks, im thinking of buying one, but not sure where to get it.

  • I suggest this gun all I did was bend the extractor pen 1/16 of an inch and no problems and plus I was using junky Remington ammo it's cci all the way

  • That is good to know. I sent mine in because I wasn't sure what the problem was at the time. But at least I got some freek magazines out of it!

  • im a little hesitant on which 22lr im going to buy. i cant decide if i should get the ruger 10/22 and put a fancy stock on it, or buy the s&w m&p 15-22. ive heard the problems the s&w have but i also heard they fixed them. which do u suggest?

  • If you just want it to LOOK like an are you can get the 10/22. But if you really want the AR function the M&P is definitely the way to go. Check out my "Which to buy" video. I cover it in more detail.

  • cci is the best rounds for .22

  • Thanks. I shot a little CCI through my M&P when I first got it and it had the problem with the extractor. I was trying to see if was just the ammo and I used the CCI because I knew it was good quality. Now that it is fixed it shoots even the crappy stuff great.

  • How accurate is the 10/22 as its a simi auto compaired to a bolt action is there much diffrence ?

  • So far it has been very accurate. I was shooting clay pigeons set up on a hillside from 100 yards with it. And I was having a problem with my scope mounts that day too. You will have to forgive me though, I haven't shot a bolt action 22 since I was about 10 so I can't give you a really good comparison. It has been too long. But the 10/22 is an excellent gun. My only complaint is that I can't find a good high cap magazine to feel reliably through it.

  • It is pretty accurate. I was having problems with my scope sliding last year when I did my 10/22 shooting so I was having a hard time with it. I just bought new scope rings today that are weaver-style so they should stay locked in place nicely. I am guessing that my results will be much more accurate. But bolt action rifles in general will be more accurate because they hold the casing locked in place throughout the whole firing sequence. But you can't pepper the target area with a bolt action!

  • lol, if i ever gave my mom a pink rifle, she would take it and bash the stock over my head untill it snapped. I am planing on getting a mp15 sense it takes .22 ammo and it looks simular to a m4 or a hk416. lol it can be tactical squirl hunting gun XP.

  • You will love it. Good choice in a 22. Tell me how you like it.

  • What is the name of your scope on the m&p?

  • It is just a knock-off Aimpoint that I got on ebay for cheap. You can look it up pretty easy. It was less than $50 with shipping included.

  • Don't use Remington! CCI is good, Federal is ok.

  • I KNOW!!! Unfortunately I learned only after I had bought a ton of the stuff. Bummer, huh? Oh well, the good part is that I will have fun trying to get rid of the crap.

  • man get a archangel stock for ur ruger 10/22 dont leave it in the safe or sell it to me id love to have another one lol but awesome vid man and great choice of guns

  • I can't bring myself to sell any of my guns. I am sure I will end up using it as a carry-along plinker or something.

  • just curious, how do you clean the outside barrel underneath the poli frame?

  • @streamfisher1 EXCELLENT question. I wish I had a better answer and if someone has a good way to clean it i would love to hear it. What I have done is take my bore-snake and thread it through the holes and kind of work it in and around the barrel. An old t-shirt works too. It isn't easy though. It is one of my gripes about the gun, I wish that quad rail were easy to get off.

  • I have that same "Aimpoint" on my 15-22. I have it on a cantilever mount so I can use my sights as well. I really like your girlfriends 10/22!! What a beautiful rifle!! I bet she's really proud of that! I appreciate you sharing your toys here on Youtube, I really enjoyed it!! Have fun and be safe!!

  • @BullShnit Forgot to mention, I have also installed a Hogue pistol grip on my 15-22. Awesome feel to it!

  • @BullShnit Hey, thanks! Yeah, my gf likes her pink "girl" gun. She looks pretty hot blasting water bottles with it. I got lucky with that girl, she treats me like an absolute king and she loves guns. Who could ask for a better girl?

  • @Mattsplat1975 Well, congrats on that!! That is so cool!!!

  • @CLD1970 Great idea and I don't think you will be sorry at all. I LOVE the 15-22 and I think you will too. And the Ruger is a great upgrade for a kid moving from a single shot or one old enough for a repeater. 10 seems like a good age for a semi-auto .22. You guys have fun and be safe! Glad to hear of a Dad spending time with his kid and being responsible with guns. Educating kids will keep them from having accidents or playing with them and getting hurt. Thanks for the comment!

  • great video! good camera angles, clear concise points and good info.

if you have time could you please make a field strip/cleaning video? How do you clean the bolt, do you need to disassemble the bolt?? Is the feedramp polymer or metal?

  • man, digging your collection. This is the AR style .22 that I'm looking at (along with the PS90, gotta have a cheap gun to shoot to along with the FN). I like the M&P because of the functional dust cover and locking charging bolt. I shot the the Colt M4 style .22 by Umarex and while it handled and shot great, it lacked the full function of a typical AR. Also shot the FN 5-7 the other day and was a huge fan.

  • Just a clarification. The M&P 15-22 does not have a dust cover. I have never seen one that does and mine doesn't have it. But the gun is fully functional though. The Colt has a fake charging handle lock and they have circular drill marks on the receiver to look like pins (I find all of that just silly). And, yes, the Five Seven is a thing of beauty! Check out my other recent video to see what it did to my spinner target if you haven't already.

  • yup, realized about the dust cover after watching another one of your vids. Been looking at ARs for some time now and must've had dust covers on the brain.

just out of curiosity, how much are they getting you for a box of 5.7mm? My indoor range charges $31 (always inflated at the range) but I was able to score 10 boxes for $200 recently.

  • Usually it is $20-22 and I consider it a rip-off at $25. Those guys are raping you. My local indoor range is the one that sells it for $25 and I refuse to buy it at that price. Just recently got the hook-up to get hollow points at $15/box through an FFL aquaintance of a family member.

  • just ran through a 525 round pack of golden bullet remington the other day with only one malfunction

  • Guess you got a lucky batch, I wish I had the same luck. what are you shooting it through? What gun?

  • i ran them through a GSG-5 and mossberg plinkster and ruger 10/22

  • How do you like that GSG-5? I have looked at that gun a few times and considered buying it. Any complaints?

  • look and feel is great with gsg-5. took like a 1000 rounds before it stopped jamming. its a long break in period

  • @zboyco Yeah, that is. So how about now that it is broken in? Do you still have any malfunctions?

  • every few hundred rounds a jam but hey thats a .22. all in all, a solid plinker

  • cool to hear they helped you out my ar is a Smith and Wesson M&P!!

  • Good to hear that you got good service!
