Sorry, but this is bullshit. They had been together for three years, loved each other dearly, had been through so much together... and they just break up like this? It's pathetic. I guess the writers wanted to keep Rory single in the finale, but it's just a crap excuse. He could have gotten a job in NY or somewhere closer. Making Logan move across the country on a whim was just lazy.

Actually, Jess was representing the interllectual, but non conservative, free and wild (just like her mom) character traits Rory has. I guess they were meant to be. Logan was the opposite, too wild, too rich.
@oldbottle rory is the heir to the gilmore + hayden families. She is really rich and isn't carefree. She wanted to ge to Harvard since she was a kid and had to grow up soon since her mom had her at 16. Rory and Jess aren't the same people and neither are Rory and her mom. Rory's relationship with Logan was one of the most fufiling one's she's ever had. They were there for eachother and loved eachother so much. Jess left her, Dean married Linsey cause he couldn't have her. Logan wanted her

But that doesn't have anything to do with how great Rory and Jess were as a couple - they were on the same intellectual level and loved the same things. They had great chemistry and made each other better people - he wrote a freaking BOOK because of her, and he's the one who convinced her to go back to Yale (not Logan, who didn't even try). I would say Logan & Rory are way more different than R/J.

My end of the story : One year later , Logan and Rory get back together and shortly after they get married and have many children and they live happily ever after. Jess moves to China and gets killed in a car accident! The end.

She was willing to try and make long distance work--he wasn't willing to do anything but what he wanted for them....

I'm glad Rory and Logan didn't end up together he was such a jerk for not even trying to stay together. Also I can't believe that she like told Jess she loved Logan and they didn't even end up together you just screwed Jess over once again. What is wrong with these writers damn you.

yea same here, I mean the finale I thought was pretty crappy. I mean there was so many questions left unanswered. Did Luke and Lorelai eventually get married, and did they have another kid? Did rory get married to anyone, (hopefully logan or jess).
