Ce véritable monument m'inspire simplement cette envolée lyrique dans la langue qui fut la sienne: Yampanya wa ba Mulanga, Muluma wa Mpolondo, Munena wa Banena ! Tshimankinda Kabasela Yampanya Tshibi tshia Nkototu, Tshiowa Mayi ka Tshitoki, nansha tshiowa Lubilanji. Pépé Kallé savait du reste parfaitement chanter ses propres louanges en Tshiluba, ce qui s'appelle "Kudisenga". Ce fut un griot... d'envergure !!
