@cincyblows Of all the CT's I've heard of, this is the only one I believe has any kind of plausibility. Assuming a situation arises where there is a national emergency and a suspension of the constitution takes place for continuity of government, it would seem to make sense to have something like these "camps" in place for maintaining and/or restoration of order. I guess I am also basing this on my own recollection of fallout shelters I used to see everywhere when I was growing up.

It is not so much that I am against FEMA camps if someone believes they exist-there is a lot that is almost not considered a valid evidance for this. For instance, in your video-there is a picture of a guard tower, fence, and constatine wire but notone person shown. Was this in the USA and how do we know it? On the other hand, that pic could be 30 yrs old and our military trains in a lot of things. Something like that paraded as evidance is nothing-no evidance.

Hmmm...Even IF the discussion provided here is not convincing enough to confirm the existence of such camps it certainly does not imply lack of plausibility by any means. Continuity of Operations Plan, many details of which are apparently classified, along with riceburnagstz's statements which are on point in accuracy, should raise a red flag that such camps are real and likely exist in undisclosed locations. In 2009, on a 60 minutes episode. They showed where there is "A supermax prison" (actually most likely many more). Where there are no prisoners. All fully staffed. Reason being is I know through my own personal experiences that Internment Camp Relocation/Rehabilitation Specialist is an official MOS (that's Military Operation Specialty for those that don't know) in the USMC & USArmy. @cincyblows Of all the CT's I've heard of, this is the only one I believe has any kind of plausibility. Assuming a situation arises where there is a national emergency and a suspension of the constitution takes place for continuity of government, it would seem to make sense to have something like these "camps" in place for maintaining and/or restoration of order. I guess I am also basing this on my own recollection of fallout shelters I used to see everywhere when I was growing up.

It is not so much that I am against FEMA camps if someone believes they exist-there is a lot that is almost not considered a valid evidance for this. For instance, in your video-there is a picture of a guard tower, fence, and constatine wire but notone person shown. Was this in the USA and how do we know it? On the other hand, that pic could be 30 yrs old and our military trains in a lot of things. Something like that paraded as evidance is nothing-no evidance.

Hmmm...Even IF the discussion provided here is not convincing enough to confirm the existence of such camps it certainly does not imply lack of plausibility by any means. Continuity of Operations Plan, many details of which are apparently classified, along with riceburnagstz's statements which are on point in accuracy, should raise a red flag that such camps are real and likely exist in undisclosed locations. I would be surprised if they didn't or were not planned in some way. Good stuff!

In 2009, on a 60 minutes episode. They showed where there is "A supermax prison" (actually most likely many more). Where there are no prisoners. All fully staffed. They have guards, wardens, doctors etc. The prison was located in the middle of somewhere in Kansas. I tried finding the episode of the show. For those who dont believe checkout the AZ central detention facility. It is where they take people designated as illegal aliens, a friend of mine was offered to be "detained" there while his student visa was brought before a hearing. He was told he could go back to Mexico, or be detained at AZCDF for period of upto two years. We havnt been attacking HB 1070 here in AZ but it is a precursor to nuremburg type legislation. You only mentioned the Japanese that were interned during WWII and left out all the Europeans who were interned during both WWI and WWII. Also, you used the typical liberal amalgamation, whereby, actual internment camps (which housed internees INVOLUNTARILY as internment requires) are intentionally confused with War Relocation Centers (which housed citizens voluntarily if they had no where to go after forced relocation, so that they can come up with the conflated number of 110,000+ Japanese.

It's regarding using infrastructure for humanitarian needs. Those 3 points can't cover every situation that will occur during a disaster. So they need flexibility, and to prevent corruption, they put that power in the highest position in the agency which is regulated by separation of powers. this is basic political science.

They are just being used, and have been, for the reasons they were built for. I will agree with you, ICE facilities are wrong, but not for Americans, but for immigrants. Immigration facilities are RUN by ICE, the agency that was created for that purpose, and was built by a construction company. You never mentioned ICE holding facilities for illegal immigrants. KBR building military facilities is nothing new. Saying otherwise means you have NEVER spoken to a person who has served overseas or you have no idea about military contracting. KBR, Titan, and CACI are the top building contractors in the US military. This has a lot to do with the contracting.

In disaster situations such as natural disaster, epidemics, or attacks on our country. In these situations a large set of directives go into effect...look it up. Just look at the actual FEMA documents/homeland security documents.

Martial Law HAS to be declared in emergency situations, Martial law HAS been declared in emergency situations since the beginning of the country. It is standard procedure in Emergency management. Homeland security has also only recently been put in charge of FEMA, as with the coast guard. I don't think rescue swimmers old FEMA workers are trying to kill you.
