I have never been married but my parents were divorced. Maybe that is why I never reproduced. I didn't want to cause any pain. I am 49 and never been married or had any kids. I wish I did. Just didn't have the faith, I guess. God bless you.

This song is so beautiful! I've been a victim of divorce on several occasions with several parents and stepparents. I understand their point of view better now but at the beginning it was difficult.

The first time I gave the lyrics of this song my undivided attention, I began crying uncontrollably after the second verse. Memories of my parents' divorce nearly twelve years before came back clearly to me.
