  • My old Lemans had a sweet spot where you could hold the clutch without rolling back or stalling. Once you learn the sweet spot of your car, shifting up hill is a breeze. There is no need to ride the clutch at all.

Maybe it is different for Ferrari's?

I think I would be a little annoyed having to worry about shifting with that maze of a shifter.

  • why is a asian lady teaching us how to drive..worst combo ever asian and a woman

  • Its not even fair for ferrari to manufacture automatic cars.

  • Nice car

  • Hazard light on a Ferrari is just wrong xD

  • if youre buying a manual ferrari you better know how to drive stick before you sign the check...

  • This or the handbreak is not how to do it. Before taking your foot off the break, roll back a little off the cluth. When you feel the engine shake a tiny bit, thats where you keep the clutch. Then give it a little gas and roll off the clutch. This keeps you from rolling backwards, burning out and looking like an idiot by useing your handbreak.

  • You are in a Ferrari --- > you are rich.

  • Stalling a Ferrari = fail.

  • just imagine how stupid you would look if you stalled a supercar

  • Just use the handbrake instead of faffing about with the footbrake. Starting Check you're in neutral Turn on engine. Left foot clutch, select 1st gear. Press button on hand brake but keep it pulled up, right foot accelerator to about 2000rpm. Part lower the hand brake whilst still pulling up on it, Slowly release clutch until you feel car budge Release hand brake. Fully release clutch when moving >5mph Generous squirt of gas to build up speed, continue as normal.

  • i'm sure that anyone whoom tries this technique well deffinitlly hit the car behind... the best way is to use the hand brakes in order to free the right foot to gas up. whil removing (slowly) the left foot over the cluch, and when u feel that the car wants to get go then u disengage the hand brakes

  • @zazaza912 Tbh, it's not as hard as you'd think, just on steep hills it can get tricky, but if you know your car, rarely to never stall and can take off quickly, it shouldn't be a problem. That said, it IS easier to use the handbrake, and less stressful.

  • Everyone who tries this is going to spin the tires when "giving it a little extra gas"

  • is a woman teaching me how to drive? Wait, I'm confused, is this a cooking video?

  • This bitch is lost...why the fuck am I watching this.

  • use the damm handbrake its fucking easy

  • Why don't you actually demonstrate instead of sitting in a Ferrari pushing pedals.

  • Hammer the gas and pop the clutch. You'll be up that hill in no time =D

  • in a normal car u can slide your foot from the brake to the gaspaddle, to rev up befor/while releasing the brakes.

using the parkingbrake is 4 old ladys.....

  • when its a huge hill use your ebrake!!!!!!

  • Dont do nothing of what she said. Besides leaving the car in gear when stopped.

When on a hill it dangerous to hold the foot pedal and release to get on the gas really fast, its stupid and pointless.

What you do is to pull the hand brake, get the car to the biting point and release hand brake and u are off

  • 1:48 avoid doing this... but watch me demontrate for 20 secconds whislt fucking up this ferrari.... and even easier hill starts are using the e brake, slowley releasing whilst powering upp also this way if you stall you can rip the e brake immidiatley.....

  • never start a car when its in gear....

  • bitch driving in a small ass hill and putting the emergency lights...

  • thats not a hill thats a fkin slope Laugh da fuck out loud

  • what a crap video man^^

"the key is to move your foot as quickly as you can to the accelerator"

okay yeah we know everyone does it like this, even i do, but isn't this a video for beginners??

a person who saw only this video and never drove a manual car before will stall the car for sure!!

nice try to teach driving, BUT this is really a FAIL!! except for the car ;DD

  • @Thestilliman1 that's why there are other videos uploaded ..

  • this lady is retarded saying you need to use clutch and gas to keep from rolling on a hill... all you have to do is hold the clutch where it starts to engage and youll notice you wont roll back nor will it damage your clutch...

  • @THEvampgenocide she says don't do it!!

  • High revs, low gear. problem solved

  • is it bad to just use ur clutch as a method of braking on a hill without using the accelerator

  • i would be surprised if beginners move their cars forward uphill after watching this.

    This is impossible for beginners.

  • wish i could practise manual on her ferrari....

  • what happen to the neutral safety switch you can't start a car in gear

  • @crazeguy26 its still there as long as depress the clutch its in nuetral.

  • yea. or can just practice how to balance the car. the key is to let the let to know the driver in the back to know your car is a stick and it will roll back, so back off or i will hit you, wait i mean you hit me since i was in front.

  • Who the fuck puts their hazards on when they stall..?

  • @GhostFalcon5 I know, that's like the most worst idea ever, I've never seen anybody, especially someone who drives a manual transmission car, whether it's any kind of car, I've never seen anyone ever turn on their signals when they stall, it's just not cool! :(

  • Why don't you just keep your foot on the brake slide the bottom or top of your foot to the gas rev to about 2000 then let go of the clutch and the brake. That's what I do and it easier and safer.

  • @fermin94 Thats a nice way to wear out bushings and tires fast.

Just keep one foot on the brake an slowly release the clutch until you feel the engine starting to bog , release the brake and you shouldn't roll back , give alittle gas and release the clutch like you would during a downshift.

    Pice of cake

  • @Pir4t THANK YOU!!!!!!! I've been waiting forever for someone to say they use this simple, practical method. Why doesn't anyone teach this in their videos!

  • or just use the handbrake

  • LOL a ferrari that stalls and turns the hazzard lights!

  • @wachu57 "Hey guys, I bought an expensive Ferrari, but I can't drive for shit!"

  • i usally wait for the person ahead of me to move a little then i hit my Rev limiter around 8G's n let out the clutch to 2 step launch outta the hill. works for me

  • Why is the title, "Turning off the engine and Parking..." when she doesn't even cover that?

  • every title for every video is wrong...

  • @dukeman2107 Ya what up wit dat?

  • Who let you out the kitchen....

  • FOR GODS SAKE! DO NOT PANIC!!! O_________O

  • Oh yeah an asian woman; I WONDER IF SHE LIKES TO HAVE CUM IN HER FACE???

Who else will going to search for ASIAN PORN after this???

  • this lady can't teach for crap

  • first of all thats not how you do hill starts... you gotta use the hand-brake. second: the way she does it when she revs the engine too much will burn your clutch. third: who the fuck leaves the car in 1st gear when starting it? fourth: instead of taking the time to turn on your hazard lights you can try to start your car again and not embarse yourself in front of everyone on the street

  • title of video :"Turning Off the Engine and Parking a Stick Shift Car" well, I didn't learn about either of those in this video.

  • RULE #1: DON'T KEEP THE CLUTCH PEDAL DEPRESSED AT A LONG STOP LIGHT, INSTEAD PUT THE TRANNY INTO NEUTRAL AND RELEASE THE CLUTCH PEDAL.

  • y r u soo serious and boring?

  • dont change gear when ur goin uphill 1st or 2nd gear is better for driving uphill, for downhill 1st or neutral.

  • @guitarmafia20: you can change gears when going UPhill. If a long incline and you're winding out the tranny that means YOU'RE EATING UP GAS so save gas and upshift..... if the engine bogs on the upshift then incline too much for gear: shift back down..

Downhill = low gear ONLY? I prefer saving gas so I may have it in 3rd on short street hills or even overdrive (5th) if I'm on the downhill of a major road or highway: brakes are cheaper than a clutch!

    32 years driving stick shifts.

  • Sorry, if you're stopped on a steep hill and you have some jerk riding your rear bumper, you need to let out the clutch (half way) while you take your right foot from the brake to the gas. Otherwise your car WILL MOVE BACKWARDS and hit the car behind you. You can also use the emergency brake (if it's conveniently located behind the shifter--if it's a foot operated emergency brake, you're SOL).

  • ahhem has anyone noticed that she has not moved the car more than 5 feet in all of these videos

  • is it better to turn of a car on first gear, second gear, or on neutral?

  • @xxdbriderklx110xx Depends if you are facing uphil or downhil or on a flat

if youre facing uphil, leave it in first, if your facing downhil leave it in reverse, or on a flat, leave it in neutral

  • I would pay $150 a day to rent a Nissan Sentra if it had a stick.

  • @YTRulesFromNM Man i love driving those sentras.

  • She is vice president of capital dream cars.

  • @jostrohar no shit?

  • @jostrohar CEO of Capital Dream cars :D

  • haha, when you stall the engine, turn off the engine ... euhm, you stalled. The engine is off. Helloooo. You mean, turn the key off.

And hazard lights ? Yeah, maybe we should post 3 poliemen, stategicaly, around the back of the car, and 1 chopper, to indicate the problem.

Girl, just start your car, put your right foot down, and release the clutch.

    Hazard lights ... PANIIIIIIIC !

  • seriously...been watching these videos and laughing...stuff she says about what not to do and crap makes me laugh and crap.

This almost makes me want to create my own videos of how to drive a standard...in a NORMAL car. Not a car that every day people can't even think about buying. lol. Plus I feel I would teach it the correct way...hmmm...maybe I should.

  • its easer to keep the brake in and let off the clutch untell it grabs then off brake and alittle gas then off clutch

  • nice car !

  • use the handbrake, makes it 10 times easier when beginning

  • That's literally one of the dumbest things I have read all day.

  • @JonoKing1 That's what I do and what my instruter told me to do.

  • GOD DAMN IT SHE HAS A FERRARI AND ALL I HAVE IS AN ACCORD /cryyyyyyyyyyy

  • It isn't necessarily hers, she says she works at Dream Cars or something.

  • oh well u got a honda its better than a ferrari lol

  • @Silvoleon

    do not! undermine the accord!

  • its not even hers, its the fucking dealerships, she is just a cunt that prob drives a toyota
