Actually, most fabrics are made of plastic strands in a fine weave (polyester) and similar materials, including cotton. If you've ever tried it, fabrics are a far superior toilet paper!

Really cool video. My daughter is an activist, an active forest defender who has lived 100' up in a tree, off and on, for several years. The longest she usually goes without coming home for a few days of long hot showers and some Ben & Jerry's therapy is, oh, about three or four months.

The very old trees she and her compadres occupy are on heavily forested land that Green Diamond wants to cut.

Just this past week, she was part of an action protesting Green Diamond clearcutting the forest near Jacoby Creek Road north of Eureka in Humboldt County, a forest a lot like the one in this video.

People would be outraged if they knew how much clearcutting going on in California's far northwestern redwood forests. Meanwhile, my daughter and those like her continue to sit in trees 24/7, week after week, month after month, trying to save a little bit of that redwood forest for all of us.

Spooner is a magnificent tree. I hear that Pacific Lumber Company failed to file a THP extension, so that Spooner may be saved in October. I hope so.

The THP, Nanning 9, expires on Sept 13th. Logging is suspended until Sept. 15th, due to Marbled Murrelet nesting Season. So, Palco has until Sept. 13th to file an extension. Hopefully the Bankruptcy court and all the drama they have created will keep them busy, and Nanning 9's Exp. date will pass like the logging hayday has. May the forest be with us!

Get as grip folks. No-one said No Logging in the movie. I made the film. I own my own business also. I make 30$ an hour. Profit. Tree Trimming. Which includes removal. I own 3 Chainsaws. I cut trees down all the time. I love my work. I also love the last 1% of these oldgrowth Redwoods. The rest have been mowed like grass. Probly by ignorant rednecks like nblevin, globalgringo, and SamoPajamo.

this is one of the only people who i have seen make a good comment where they want to save old growth trees and still log this person knows from the info in the comment that logging needs to be done but with boundrys
