Heard this tune for the first time today on BBC2. Never imagined there was another theme tune for PP. Amazing. Really really cool groovy 60's tune, beutiful!
Sincerely this video and his song makes me cry when i remember my childhood on the 60's and 70's.Thank you very much to post this wonderful video and bring me back so much very good memories.
@DJThor1964 The Panthermobile was originally steered by levers, one each side of the drivers seat, it was, as you observed, a handful. It was later converted to a conventional setup with a steering wheel.
Ah yes the ultimate early 70s cartoon show he was so hip and hard to beat absolutely love the intro music they just dont make em like this anymore we were privileged to have this, thanks,
I remember this tune from when I was a kid. It's more than 30 years since I haven´t heard it. I didn't speak English then and I didn't understand a word. Now, suddenly I understand everything. The feeling is weird and funny. (Greetings from Spain).
i was looking for this ! ho ho reminds me crazy playfull years ,before i start smoke and using drugs , guns, money, cars ...you know all of these kind of stuff. thanx club1981
The Pink Panther Ev'rybody loves a panther that's pink He really is a groovy cat And he's a gentleman, a scholar, he's a acrobat He's in the pink, the Pink Panther The rinky-dink panther And it's as plain as your nose That he's the one and only, truly original Panther pink from head to toe That he's the one and only, truly original Panther Pink Panther from head to toe!
Is this the ORIGINAL car?? mmmm...Look this video and then auction pictures and see if you can confirm this question after viewing the steering wheel at pictures and not in this video...definitely, the steering wheel is not at the video...check this out...
@bluebus270 fair comment i hadn't noticed that :-) ..the show was originally aired between 1969 and 1980 according to wiki (although i watched it in the uk through the 80's).. i generalised it to the 70's based on that :-)
@Club1981Channel I wonder how many people can remember the Pink Panther chocolate bars widely available in the 1970's? It wasn't really chocolate of course, but pink candy. Our local newsagent in Hull sold them but heaven knows what the ingredients were. Still, they did us no harm at all!
@bluebus270 lol omg i remember them.. loved that fake chocolate! reminds me of those little white mice sweets you can still get! we had a little shop down in wiltshire that sold them too... ah the memories :-)
@bluebus270 yeh i used to love those. they didnt just look pink, they actually tasted pink. i imagine they probably had crushed beetles in em. or according to QI, crushed bugs.
This brings back a lot of great memories from my childhood as The Pink Panther was one of my favourite cartoons on TV back then.
Also I'm glad that after all these years of The Pink Panther cartoons not being shown on TV, BBC TWO is finally repeating them again, each weekday morning at 11.35am. This is great as I haven't seen these cartoons for a very long time.
I'd better record them all as they may not get repeated many more times in the future.
When he is waterskiing and he crashes into that wooden pole, god that looks painful haha.

Wow, the car looks a real handfull; the driver has difficulty even keeping it in a straight line.
Cool show, though.

@jesusorizales1 Yes, similars feelings I have (in fact, I'm from Spain too xD). But, once you understand the lyrics, they are not so impressive...

Think of all the animals you've ever heard about
like rhinoc'ruses and tigers cats and mink
There are lots of funny animals in all this world
But have you ever seen a panther that is pink?
Think!
A panther that is positively pink,
Well here he is, the pink panther,

@NotOrdinaryInGames Why not? If it was still going now it would be boring and tiresome. Wouldn't have the spark it had back then.

The date at the end of the closing credits is 1968, so it is a bit older than a 70's show.
