More importantly is use lose the momentum at that high of a speed for a longer period of time, then, when you hit the next gear you are down more in the rev band than you would have been before. This forces you to accelerate through the same MPH you already accelerated through in a higher gear while the CCX gets to power on without that problem. Drag can slow a car down real quick at 100+ and less two were going 100 at least when the missed shift happened.
