Dear friend, if you want to listen to this song again as well as an endless number of love songs I suggest you visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - look for the URL in Google (search Musica para Mimos). Greatest romantic hits of all times!!!
Everyone there seems to be enjoying themselves- starting from the backing vocals.... no wonder, either: It is so very uplifting and infectious. Each time I listen to this excellent tune, I can't wait to hit the "Repeat-Button"...lol
I've commented on this song before but I have to say it again: Pop doesn't get any better than this. I'm miss hearing these great old songs on the radio but thanks to Youtube, they live on. Thanks for posting.
Estimated friend, if you want to listen again this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - looks for his direction URL in Google ( search Musica para Mimos in Google)-. best romantic music of all the times in Internet, is great, is very good ...!!!
Roddy Frame is the kind of guy that urges you to create your YouTube profile in order to let the world know about his marvellous talent. What a songwriter! State of the art pop music! Belongs to the same league as Bowie, McCartney, Burt Bacharach, Randy Newman, Costello. Of course "High Land Hard Rain" was a masterpiece (composed at 16!), but check his later Aztec Camera stuff, "Dreamland", "Frestonia", or solo albums. It's all good! Enter Roddy's world, you will not regret it!
Love this song. Saw Roddy Frame last year playing guitar supporting Edwyn Collins in Glasgow. From Westwood to Hollywood. Only a boy from East Kilbride would come up with that one.
as a Glaswegian 80's teenager, all i can say is : this is the sound of my youth! Glasgow had (and still has!) a live scene to die for! The only rivals are Manc and Scouse.... check them out!
This song has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember., It never failed to raise my spirits when I was up, and could take me both ways whenever I was down. I hate to confess, but until now I never knew who it was that performed the song. I do now, and Roddy Frame and Aztec Camera have gained not a new fan, but a wiser one. Rock On. Ray
THE greatest pop song ever written! Awesome lyrics & vocal performance, perfect guitar solo and on top of that he's also an annoyingly handsome guy! :)
this is the first time ive heard this, i heard it on the radio but then i decided to listen to it on youtube, this song was out when my mum was a little girl and i'm only 17 :)
this is the song most often stuck in my head - just listened to it properly for the first time in 20-something years and it's awesome. really cool tune.
Jaycebs, it was released in 1988 and it reached no. 3 in the UK charts. I have a funny feeling it made no. 1 in the Scottish charts (they used to be on the radio) though cant confirm it at all.
Brilliant stuff one of the best bands of the 80,s. Saw them live up in Inverness, what you hear on the cd is what you hear live !! where are Roddy and the boys now ?
What a fantastic song and band. I love the 80's, and A.C. A massively underated band. One of Britains best bands ever, and one we should be very proud off, as our own. Real talent at it's best. thanks for posting. LOL .
one of the great benefits of working at a college radio station in the late 80s early and early 90s was hearing songs like this, Are You Sure by So, Doctor and the Medics, etc.
wow i really love the mystery jets cover for this song.i'm accualy suprised that it sounds really like this one because most covers kinda sound abit different from the normal song if you get what i meen.and i just figured he has the same electric guitar as me.thats made my day (:
