george was a fool for this reciting the lord's prayer and 23rd psalm while backmasking a gospel tune who else had the nerve for that. gangster rappers took serious notes.
TELL ME ANYBODY: tell me. what is this song all about? it sounds to me like "believe in god, that its still possible", but what about funkadelics song "miss lucifer's love"? what is this combo all about? anybady wanna tell me that what it is all about! i think that funkadelic is the best band ever, but i cant listen to them if they are somehow worshipping lucifer.
@fabioz91 I believe Funkadelic did a great job of highlighting the fact that there can't be highs without lows, good without evil, truth without lies, fact without fiction. I believe that everyone has a good and evil within them. In the universe there is matter and antimatter. Electicity would not work without a positive and a negative. In order to be truely enlightened, one must embrace both good and evil because, without evil, how can we distinct what is good? Great video DaGrymReefer!!
Who ever did this is freakin awesome! there has to be a way to gather the scattered tribes of funkadelia and the thumpasaurus people and funkapus- since George and Bootsy are either fat horny or strung out... I speak no blastphemy- but there is a need to return to the pure funk now packaged and shelved to be delievered in doses by pornographic pharmaceutical companies who celebrate the placebo syndrome! funk liberation is at hand! Blessed be the One! Bring forth the Holy Mothership!
@phoen99rising I think that was the intention...If you look at it's a narrative of someone who's sold their soul and chosen a self destructive lifestyle only to wish to repent at the end.
Truthful, groundbreaking and genius.
The fact that you are able to distinguish that it's a bad trip speaks how genius the concept of the song is.
Great video and choice of song! This song must have had a huge influence on Pac as he did a few tracks in a similar manner with his voice slowed/deepened.
Just an amazing mind altering tune. Oh to be a fly on the wall in the studio when Funkadelic/Parliament was creating these masterpieces....
So psychedelic.

@fabioz91 Put simply: It's about God. Some of us look to a spiritual place for enlightenment...and others look in their wallet. #In God We Trust
I interpreted Miss Lucifer's love as a story about a scandalous and deceitful woman.

@DaGrymReefer
Miss Lucifer's love
She's the devil, and I like it
Don't you know she really grooves me
When she come
I'll be there to meet her
When she come
I'll drink from her unholy fountain
it makes somehow sense...but does it?
