@yanzdalcarney I'm sorry but, I have to strongly disagree. Frieza being easily beaten by Trunks at the beginning of the Android Saga, THAT shows the increase in power the characters had gone through. Getting beaten by a snow machine is just.... retarded. I mean, think about it. Frieza survived Namek, an entire planet, exploding around him. Cell was only beaten by being completely disintegrated. You honestly expect me to believe that they can't escape a block of ice?
@Senkiatzu they are in the coldest part of hell and when you die your body temp decreasing by a ton. so it takes more affect so its makes sense that they got frozen and cant break free and if you would notice the ice is not just normal ice. there are spirits in the ice. so its much colder then regular ice
@yanzdalcarney I was under the impression that body heat wouldn't be a factor here, seeing as they are in the after life. Though I suppose that's debatable. I cannot, however, spot these "spirits in the ice" you mentioned. Also, even if the ice was cold enough to freeze them, what was stopping them from moving away beforehand? I think these villains, prideful as they are, wouldn't just stand still, showing fear at the sight of an ice machine. They'd move away and/or blow it up.

This is what strikes me as out of character for these villains. They don't seem to be "letting their guard down" and they most certainly don't look cocky as they usually do. @PauleyG315 I actually watched GT from start to finish a few years ago. I tried hard to find something that I might enjoy in it, but in the end it felt like an overall futile attempt. My dislike for it was rather intense however, and thus I decided to do my best to simply wipe it from my memory. Due to this, my recollection of it is rather limited. I suppose I shouldn't really criticize if I can't remember much other than the fact that It made me angry as I watched it.

On the list of awesome ways that enemies were defeated "being frozen in ice" has to fall pretty low. And your reason for them running out of ideas is the very reason that GT shouldn't exist, it was clear that they were running out of ideas (though the Blackstar Saga was pretty creative.) Akira wanted to stop at DBZ and that's where it should've stopped.

You must not have seen it but yes, it is a good point. Not to mention Frieza and Cell were my two favorite villains out of Dragonball, Z and GT and it pissed me off to see them so comically defeated. (especially where Goku rode on Frieza's disc and cut him in half while he stood still like an idiot and Goku surviving being absorbed by Cell.)
They should have stopped after Frieza saga was over.. I mean, how many 'stronger warriors' can we take? First raditz was superstrong, but Nappa and vegeta were considered to be the best, but working for a superpower named Frieza.. which was all very cool. But Omega Shenron is just nuts, and so is Super Saiyan 2 to 4. I mean.. Super Saiyan 1 was what we all waited for to happen..
Cell and Frieza used to be great Villains, beating their enemies to a pulp and scaring lotsa People shitless. Both committed Mass Murders for the Lulz and were virtually unstoppable before they were... well, stopped. But it took time, effort and lotsa Bodies until they WERE stopped.

@HaloLvl43Legit The ice is made of souls or something and becomes tighter the more you try to move, it managed to freeze Goku for a short period before his natural body heat melted it. Cell and Frieza, who are dead had no body heat so they got stuck.

You must not have seen it but yes, it is a good point. Not to mention Frieza and Cell were my two favorite villains out of Dragonball, Z and GT and it pissed me off to see them so comically defeated. (especially where Goku rode on Frieza's disc and cut him in half while he stood still like an idiot and Goku surviving being absorbed by Cell.)

They should have stopped after Frieza saga was over.. I mean, how many 'stronger warriors' can we take? First raditz was superstrong, but Nappa and vegeta were considered to be the best, but working for a superpower named Frieza.. which was all very cool. But Omega Shenron is just nuts, and so is Super Saiyan 2 to 4. I mean.. Super Saiyan 1 was what we all waited for to happen..

Cell and Frieza used to be great Villains, beating their enemies to a pulp and scaring lotsa People shitless. Both committed Mass Murders for the Lulz and were virtually unstoppable before they were... well, stopped. But it took time, effort and lotsa Bodies until they WERE stopped.
