what i dont get is why they summoned max anyway. Why would virgil want to risk Max's life as well as his and Norman's?

because max needs training, he has faith that max wont get hurt because his destiny is that he will defeat skullmaster, so he isnt supposed to die before he kills skullmaster. Virgil risked his life for max several times, so this probably wasnt anything new.But the big answer is that i think virgil wanted max to train with his cap and gain experience. my theory.
