  • WOW! Nice Work! A few haters on the name though....LOL, I got it.

  • dude i need to know how to make the square template thingy

  • sounds like a dark sort of dubstep breakdown a bit :)

  • this was so good :D

  • how do you record more than 8 measures??

  • ....tres bein mon ami

  • Dios mio, es grandioso todo lo que se puede hacer con un Kaossilator, y tú eres muy bueno.

    Suerte Amigo!

  • nice song and a good kombi

  • had twice?

  • @JFarmer2011 Think about it. You'll figure it out.

  • Your left hand hid everything you did from the camera.

  • please..... please just give a download link so we can enjoy awesome on our little MP3 players.

  • answer is better than u

  • @azkaban987 You're funny.

  • think about it sound like a song from space or resident evil final stage :)

  • and do you have to have anytyhing to use one like speakers or something?

  • hi when i saw this video i knew i had to get one but how much are they and is it worth it? please respond ^.^

  • @iamnotblazen Kaossilator is about $120, but I dont know the mini KP. It all depends on your budget and creativity anyway.

  • twas in jest, good work! a tiny man will be round your abode tomorrow morn to distribute your due...

  • if beethoven owned a kaossilator he wouldn't have been able to use it, not because he was deaf, stupid, but because they didn't have speakers back then, dummy...

  • @edzackly If Beethoven had owned a Kaossilator, there would have been speakers around...

  • @psychopath3000 he composed classical, not electronic. duh

  • @edzackly he's correct, if he had a kaossilator he would've had speakers........dummy

  • Comment removed

  • @edzackly I'm sure they had headphones though...

  • This is so sick! What are you doing with the wheel on the KP @3:00 ?

  • @robopony Thanks. I'm turning up the depth of the effect. It acts like an effect fade-in.

  • aww sound sick!!!!

  • Dude that was so cool!

  • Coolest thing I have ever seen in my entire life.

  • @TheSpect0r Thanks!

  • dank

  • I use a nintendo ds styles on my kaossilater it works well

  • Would you mind if I used this on my channel? I'll make sure to give credit. Feel free to say no. ;)

  • If Beethoven had owned a Kaossilator, he wouldn't have been able to use it. He was deaf for most of his life. Good job on the vids though I like your style.

  • @christo464 He still managed to play piano and compose huge symphonies. He probably would've figured it out somehow.

  • @psychopath3000 he relied on vibrations. he cut off the legs of the piano so that the vibration can go through the floor boards,

  • @christo464 "most of his life". you clearly have no idea.

  • @kitedh According to Wikipedia:

    Ludwig van Beethoven: baptized 17 December 1770 – 26 March 1827

"Around 1796, Beethoven began to lose his hearing. He suffered a severe form of tinnitus, a "ringing" in his ears that made it hard for him to perceive and appreciate music; he also avoided conversation."

I clearly do have an idea. If he started going deaf when he was 26 years old, and lived for 56 years, then I believe SIMPLE math proves he truly was deaf longer than he had hearing...

  • @christo464

    >quoting wikipedia

    > claiming to have an idea

  • @kitedh Without providing any information in opposition to my statement, I must assume you are a 14 year old special education student. Remember to always check and make sure the strap for your helmet isn't too tight!!

  • @christo464 Haha..you're so cool :)

  • weres the "love" button? you have the greatest kaossilator vids on youtube man. im a huge fan

  • I saw on some PBS show a sparrow's song played really slow, and it was the melody from Beethoven's 5th.

  • this is a good video. i have some new vids using the kaossilator pro and sampling music apps for itouch. check it out

    ez

  • Hey man great job! Could U tell me how did u do that grid for ur kaossilator?!

  • Beethoven is bumping this from beyond.

  • This is absolutely awesome!

  • if beethoven had a Kaossilator, culture would be so awesome. and opera would be alot more popular

  • five people do not have ears

  • Beethoven would be proud :D

  • What´s that sing called?

  • Both charged by a psp charger save your batteries if you have one!

  • I really enjoy the melody from the 9th Symphony the way you did it.

What is the chord progression you used?

  • Also how do you take of delay?

  • hey man just got the set. It seems like you have a longer recording time than I do.. The longest time a can record a single loop is at 8 beats 20 tempo other than that i cant do much 4:4 timing. Any help??

  • @Jgomila86 u both have the same recording time...what he is doing is sequencing multiple layers together to make a song...the trick is to record the all of the sequencing, not just the final loop

  • Ah, now, that's ingenious. You cut a transparent overlay to fit and scored it with a grid over the touch pad. Brilliant. I must try that.

For those who have not tried these, yet, the touch pads are matte black, not shiny, and definitely lacking in any positional grid.

  • this is sickk aha

the only video's that make me want one are yours aha

  • Man you are a genius!

  • This goes to show that you need to be able to read music to truly create music and expand upon existing tunes as well.

One reason I don't respect 70% percent of DJs..

All they do is twist and turn knobs, scratch and strut around as if they are musical talents.

  • @masonkim7 you do know that a LOT of professional musicians can't read music?

it doesn't take note reading skills to make good music but an ear for good tones

  • @masonkim7 He essentially just scratched and twisted and turned knobs. He read no music. For all we know he could be blind, or he might be a woman with very hairy hands. The point is, this goes to show that he is very talented. He may have done this by ear, and yes that is entirely possible. By the way, in regard to reading music to make good music; untrue. The Beatles.

  • @HugoTheMonkey And Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder!! Keep rockin'!

  • great, thanks for sharing.

  • Now this is some real ghetto shit.

  • Nice and deliberate use of the kaoss pad, not just effects for effects sake. The ending gave me flashbacks to the ending of Karma Police. Not terribly similar, but just the feel of it.

    Keep posting!

  • I think you are the best Kaossilatorist in this world!

  • @CristianJodorowsky definitly

  • THIS IS SO BADASS.

  • Was that some sort of special stylus you were using, or just something random you had around your house?

  • @TVUsedToBeGood It's a stylus from an old handheld computer called a Psion.

  • Nice mix man! But why did you use two pads?

  • @casonragland One is a Kaossilator (synthesizer) and one is a Mini Kaoss Pad (effects processor).

  • Excellent dude...nice FXs..nice fade out at the end....like Karma police / filter happier....by radiohead..great performance

    SALUDOS from argentina

  • @3:00 cool trick!

  • @ragamuffinboi What exactly was he turning up right then? how'd he do it?

  • You, sir, are a musical genius! You should put this stuff on iTunes! I'd buy it! I'm subscribing, keep these coming!

  • legit

  • You are the man! Now that's raw talent! Keep the music alive!!! I'm gonna get a kaossilator and stylophone beatbox. Great composition and creativity. Any Idea's of where I can score them cheaper than usual?

  • @salsero916 Thanks. Try ebay.

  • Whoa! First of all, awesome video! Second, either you got fantastic rhythm or you use a quantisation feature? If it's the latter please elaborate?

I fav'd this, straight up it's good from start to finish. Love how you ended it mate, really creative ^^

I myself have both K's and wanna venture into the use in live performances :)

  • @SamIves85 Hi thanks. I use arpeggiators, but no quantise.

  • hey, this video is fantastic!

just bought a kaossilator about a week ago in part because of your videos!

    question for you though...

what do you think of the mini-kp, i wanna supplement my kaossilator with it and also my r3 synth, and my guitar. Do you think i should just save up for the kp3 or just hold off and buy the mini. is there much difference? Soundwise i mean, i know the looping capabilities are considerably less on the mini kp

  • @GoldenSlumbers89 Hi, thanks for the comment.

The Mini-KP is pretty good, although far more limited than the KP3. It has a very low output level, which causes problems for many people. Also, the sampling capabilities of the KP3 make it a much more useful device. Given that a mini-KP will set you back about £100, and you can get KP3s for about £200 on ebay if you do some serious perusing, I'd go with the KP3.

  • Awesome!

  • A night worth of music, sponsored by 8 AA batteries :)

    Nice going !

  • very good

  • man i love this really awesome!! i was thinking about buying a mini kp for sampling over an Ipod at party's, can it be hooked up to a mixer and speakers as well as an ipod?? and can the Kaossillator?? what do you think?? :L:L cheers.

  • Thanks. Well, the Mini-KP and Kaossilator can be hooked up to pretty much anything if you've got the right cables. If you were using the Mini-KP with an iPod, you would have to use it as a send. The Kaossilator could easily be hooked up.

  • @allypally95 sampling?

    what do you mean?

sorry i'm from germany my english isn't that good

but you can't sample with the mini kp .. ^^

  • @hanfbrot Well, actually there is a limited sampling time on the Mini-KP, on patch 78 or thereabouts. I actually mean using a motif from Beethoven in this video.

  • amazing man.. how do you know where to put your pen! do u have something to guide you? like a net on the kaoss pad?

  • I have a grid installed on both my Kaossilator and my Mini-KP. Search KGridMod if you want to do it yourself.

  • no mames eres un chingon!!!

  • thank you very much

  • That pen that you use were can i get one?

  • It's a Psion stylus from the old hand-held computers. I would recommend a Nintendo DS stylus. They're very cheap and easy to get.

  • Woaow... This machine seems to be incredible. But your are a fine musician. How does-it works ?

  • The yellow box is basically a synthesizer, which also loops what you play. The red box is an effects processor. They're great fun.

  • how did u make those GRID sticker sheet ? did u custom made that or bought it ?

  • Search KGridMod and you'll find a tutorial.

  • is the kaossilator for pro's only or for the novice also? i've fallen in love after reading about it and watching the vids.

  • The kaossilator was designed with amateur and untrained musicians in mind. It limits the possibility of mistakes and makes really decent beat making quite simple. Get one.

  • the man in the music store wasn't so happy so I don't know what the difference is between the red and the yellow! :s

  • Basically, the yellow one is a synth, with 99 different playable sounds built in; the red one is an effects processor, with around 90 effects built in. They work great and look great when used together.

  • Dude, I'm trying to figure out how you did your beat so fast. It sounds like the song goes from 4 measures to 8 measures. Is there a trick I'm missing?? Please teach! :D

  • It does go from 4 measures to 8 measures. I start off the loop in 4 measures to lay down the basic beat. I then double this to 8 measures for the theme, then 16 when the bass comes in. This saves a lot of time.

  • I agree, this is ingenious...but how do you loop it from 4 to 8 to 16? When I start at 4, then switch to 8 there is a big silent gap. Hmmm...

  • Nevermind...I figured it out :D thanks!

  • Cool, a new awesome video!!!!! I just got done modifying my KP's. Stay tuned for some music! I'm working on a remix now :D

  • Thanks. Let me know when you've finished it.

  • U the man :)

  • Cheers brother :D

  • Sometimes I had doubts on the KOs musical capabilities... You prove to the world you can do serious stuff with it! ;)

Not just a toy, people! ;)

  • Thankyou so much. These devices are absolutely amazing. You just need patience and imagination.

  • You are phenomenally patient !

    Well Done!!!!

  • Yes, it took a LONG time. Thanks man.

  • this is AAAAAAAAmazing

  • Thanks!!

  • one of the very best Kaossilator

    vids ive seen

  • Wow thanks for that :).

  • Great! :) Keep rockin'!

  • Thankyou.
