  • its the original christine from the movie?

  • @94Twitty

Yes, she is the #2 stunt car known as muscle 2 in the chase scene up until the dock crush scene

  • wow what a beauty, glad she survived, sounds like some work was put into that baby's motor

  • Don't be angry, Christine.

  • Shitters did some job on me.

  • I read somewhere that the Fury used in the moochie chase was a 383 big block....is this true? What motor is in this car? It sounds like a big block but it's hard to tell, i've even heard 318's that sound like big blocks.

  • @DeAdiSSu3, she has a dual quad Wedge with exhaust put on by the studio to give it that sound. In some scenes the engine sound from a Mustang was used

  • Automobiles prior to the mid 1970's were beautiful creations. I like watching old TV shows from the late '60's because every car you see is cool. Then, all of a sudden, cars got boring. Thanks for sharing this cool video, from when they knew how to make cars. On my public access show, I taped a few car related segments you MAY find interesting. 1: cruisin' in coldwater 2: capri mustang 40th AND 3: weird drive in moment. Thank you.

  • so is Don Vandenberg and Richard Trelawney. I guess there won't be anybody trashin your car no more ...

  • aint dat da truth. christine is the baddest car u can ever get in. i love christine

  • what colour was the car originally? was it a factory belvedere?

  • @c300g ,underneath the red is Buckskin beige, as it was discovered during restoration

  • the build year was 57 according to the movie... stunning machiene nonetheless..

  • @robb1e1978 , you are correct, they were built in 1957, as that is when the new model year comes out. They were 58's though with the quad headlights instead of two like on the 57

  • @19Sabbath69 the smallest big block was the 350

  • A Fury in Belve clothing :)

  • so is that a fury or a belvedere?

  • Bud, your websites you put links for are both no longer in existence.

  • @broot4u , thanks, lol, after 9 months I finally fix this....., she is on the book of face too

  • OMG she is back run for your life

  • god bless these tail finned behemoths

  • good bless these tail finned behemoths

  • im sure all the cars had different motors, but the motor you seen in the car when it was on the assembly line was a 350 golden commando with 2 carter afb or avs carbs. christine wasn't fuel injected

  • similer back end to a zephyr

  • @MrManhound

You should Google the '61 Dodges - they had the 'MkIII Zodiac' grille!

  • sempre quis um plymouth desse só que aqui no brasil é bem raro ver um desse ainda vou exportar um dos USA (EUA)

  • AHHHHHHHH music to my ears

  • sure it is

  • Neither of your website links are valid anymore! Where has this web page gone?

  • @folken692000 , fised, thanks

  • @folken692000 , fixed, thanks

  • The picture quality is too good for my eyes

  • @MultiAREE , old cell phone camera from the early days

  • what mufflers did christine have on her in the movie

  • @Joker28th

They look like Thrush mufflers from the 80's or early 80's flow-master. They don't make them anymore :(

  • Good hands......Bad taste in cars. (Darnell) Sounds like the one my Cousin has.

  • 1958 Plymouth Fury Engine Options included a Fuel Injected 350 Cubic Inch V8 that was the engine shown in the movie.

  • @sliderbox IT was offered with a 318 or a 383 with a dual carb options. No fuel injection.

  • @dwc4343 , actually, there was a fuel injection option that was recalled and fitted with dual carbs. Some owners didn't bring them back so they are out there

  • @arcand88 I agree with you 100% from the back end it has no diffrent wings on the back body is shorter thats why you didnt take a full video of the var im not saying it not a nice car buts ins not a Christine sorry mate

  • Hi, she's the real thing, look at my other videos. In this video all the trim is off so the car indeed looks different. Check out the story at the Christine Car Club web site

  • i dnt think its a Christine the wings on the back arnt the same and the hole body is diffrent if you could show me more picks then ill reconcider my comment :)

  • Would love a 58 Fury, however living in Northern Ireland locating one that doesn't require shipping from America is super hard. Especially as I'm looking for one in Blood red. One of the Christine cars was up for sale recently by a museum.

  • Oh, mister, Im really happy to find the whole story and this beautiful dreaming car. Lovely Christine! ^^ I congratulate you for saved this great car and to start to write a great and exciting history, the Christine`s cars history. BTW, when I saw Christine, I start to buildt a 1/24 scratch model made of carboard. Now, I began to re-buildt my model, dividing of your excelents videos.

    Thank you very much! ^__O

  • that sounds so awsome.... Nothing, not even a new mopar can beat that sound.....

  • Did you go to a car show this last weekend? In toledo? I saw a car with the exact looking rear end, with the bumper shaved off.

  • LOL nice job with the revving like in the movie.....lol love that car

  • last time I looked the car in Christine actualy had a 392 Hemi in it

  • Your probably right, some of the cars were set up with power engines for the burn-outs, etc. If you notice at the beginning Christine has a modern 80's distributor.

  • @hylnder777 Lets not kid ourself - Christines engine was built by Satan! :P

  • @bpktrucking No 392 Hemi's. Just a 383 dual four barrel.

  • @bpktrucking I remember or thought I saw a Hemi in Christine but I tink it was a 361 in the scene where Christin starts to repair herself after Repperton and co. have their way with her.

  • @Navajas440 , 361 does look like the 350. It was a Golden Commando 350 engine, very rare!

  • Comment removed

  • I saw one of these in Thomasville, GA on a car hauler outside of Chik-fil-a... Fricking wonderful!! It was dressed to the nines... Got a picture with my cell phone, wish I had real camera at the time!!

  • por que no pasan todo el maldito auto ?? , ta chocado o que ?

  • I read the moochie car was pushed into the loading dock be a bulldozer

  • The car crushed in the loading dock was pulled from behind the actor and had a rubber front end

  • @hylnder777 Rubber??? looked real in the movie, but thats hollywood!

  • man, she sounds pissed!

  • nice vid. bout how do you know that it is a survivor car? i mean im not doubting you. do you have the serial number from the car? any information on the car?

  • Check out the Christine Car Club for the whole story

  • My god what a beautiful sound. I prefere to listen that engine that my girlfriend voice. I must congrat you BEAUTIFUL car AWESOME SOUND

  • I luv Christine......better than any damn Porshe or Lambo!!!!

  • I'd rather drive a Christine than a Lambo!!!!!!!!!!!58 plymouth fury

  • @kbucher1977 for me it's a gt 500 or a E36 BMW M3 Evo

  • @apmirkin , LOL, they are a bit lighter

  • No gunny, they did use several Fury's during filming but mostly used the Belvedere. I still have the original article in an old custom car mag about the cars and movie.

DirTdude you are also wrong "Christine" is a 58 and not a 57 and there is a few things that point this out on the car.

    hylnder777 I'm jealous!!!!!

  • it was a 58 bought in sept of 57 when the new models came out

  • right after the start up, thats the perfect idle sound!!

  • that engine sounds awesome!

  • this is a belvedere all the cars used in the movie were belvederes why because not one of them had the fury emblem but still awsomes car

  • thats a wicked sexy rumble.....what motor did they put in that one? i remember from the latest special ed DVD Keith Gordon said some of them had hopped up motors, id guess this was one of em

  • She still has her original Fury V8 318 with factory dual four barrels

  • wasnt the fury motor a 350 golden commando?

  • @hylnder777 while a lot of them did have a 318 if you watch the movie at the first time she "shows" arnie it says "350" on the valve covers and has a front slanted distributor the 318's only had a single 4 barrell carb and had a rear straight distributor

  • The 350 was a very rare engine option. It was called "Golden Commando" Distributor was up front and pushed 305hp

  • The different distributor position was because the 318 is a small block, and the 350 was a big block. The Mopar 350 is extremely rare (many Chevy guys deny it ever existed), as it was both debuted and retired all in 1958.

  • This is a much cooler car than the 3 I painted for Animal House back in the early 70's while I worked in OR. Wait, now I'm revealing my age...;-)

  • That's cool you worked on the Animal House cars! Do you know anyone that worked on the Christine's?

  • No, sorry, but back in the 70's when I painted several black cont's I was actually early in my carrier and worked for MAACO. In fact during those 3 yrs, I painted an average of 11 cars a day. One day I painted 18 cars, and my fasted paint job was a red VW that took 7 minutes. LOL! true story. :-)

  • Now that is a sexy rumble

  • So kewl. im on the CCC fan club too. We would love it if you could give more info!!!

  • That car just sounds so insanely hot... I bet she'll turn out wonderful!

  • My friend has the actual cristine car that he gotten off steven king and it has all matching numbers and autograph by steven king on paper and title cause we live in maine where steven king is from

  • Awesome, the Christine Car Club has been looking for the 4th car. Please send me pictures so we can confirm it and get it on our web site. I know all the cars that are left in and out and would love to see this one.

  • i really don't want to burst your bubble and you certainly do have a beautiful car... its just that Christine is a 57 Fury.

  • I have been around these movie cars since 1983 and Christine is a 58. The 57 had 2 single headlights with a turn signal marker next to them and the 58 had 4 headlights two on each side with a signal marker in the middle top.

  • @hylnder777 dont forget the slotted bottom valance panel below the the front bumper which I never really liked the 58's were much nicer and a FYI Stephen King posed on a 57 for his picture in the book

  • sweet...such a cool car.

  • Do u know how much costs this Fury in 58's ? She was a luxury or a pop car? TNX

  • @brunohoffma the Fury was a upscale model based on the Belvedere line I think they went for 2,000-3,500 range whether you wanted 2-4 door base or sport fury

  • i just bought her tis exact one for $99,000,000 cant wait till she's mine. :)

  • i love this car. i heard that there are only 3 actual stunt cars left. i dont think thats true. is it?

  • Yes, and this is one of them :) She is all painted again and on her way back for reassembly.

  • how much would you sell it for/...........

  • I have been offered some crazy money which would include all the movie memorabilia as well.

I always entertain offers. She will be like brand new in a couple months.

  • How is the ole' beast coming along? Are you close to completion? Bob:-)

  • Bob, the parts are all here, kust waiting for some extra time..

  • The revving engine sounds like she's pissed.

Of course, that's because you kept the camera focused on her ass-end the whole time! LOL

  • quierunodesos

  • i could use one like that to go to the coffee shop now... anyhooch i ll use my VW.

  • i would say it really sounds like the

actual as you say... i has got something

    to it... ghostly.

  • Wow... listen to that roar of this engine!

  • Thank you for the video, love the car and movie. How did you acquire the car, were you part of the film crew or staff involved in the movie?

  • Check out the Christine Car Club website. All the information is there on how I found her!

  • dudde its a haunted 1985 play mouth furry

  • most of the takes in christine weren't actually the fury. For the most part what we saw was the plymouth belvedere dressed up like the fury.

  • True, the Fury's are really rare. However, I did find lots of Fury parts at the wrecking yard that I kept of some of the wrecked Christines.

  • I wouldn't swear on it but I read that a few takes also used the plymouth savoy, which again had been dressed up as the fury

  • well, in a way the fury was the belvedere anyway becuase the fury's were just belvederes with a differetn trim package i believe

  • yes and little known fact 12 cars used to make the movie belvederes, furys and savoys 2 were reported to be modifiued 57 savoys dressed like 58 furys

  • Did Mopar Mel restore her?

  • No, he does have some really nice repro parts for these though.

  • Cool car

  • Is that really the one that killed that shitter Moochie Welch?

  • Yes, check her out on MySpace. I posted photos of her 20 year face lift :)

  • the film is CHRISTINE

  • This is so deadly!!!!!! Thanx for sharing her!!

  • what is the name of the film where this car was used in?

  • "Christine" 1983 i believe. The book is better,

  • Back then it would have cost a fortune to make it like the book

  • back now things are still costing futunes :( but chtistine is worth it

  • Christine

  • 24, which the stripped down to make i think 17 running ones, 2 survived

  • omg Christine really does live and finds people to let her restore herself scary idea.... cool car though- that sound would scare the crap out of me on the road and then when I saw her pass me- yikes...

  • Sounds pretty sweet.

  • Nice to know that some of the Christine stunt cars survived.

  • so beautiful sound!

    Plymouth Fury rocks!

  • How many cars did they go through in the making of that movie?

  • I have heard the number 27 mentioned quite a bit.

  • Like 13 of em

  • you have to be proud owning that car, that's been my favorite car ever since I seen Christine. congratulations on owning such a nice car.

  • hear that baby puuuuuurrrr.....

  • hell hath no rath like plymouth's fury.

    dang that car sounds good.

  • Amazing that you could get that horsepower with out bolt on parts.

  • what does it got the 318 or the 350 cuz my 350 sounds just like it

  • There's a plymouth fury for sale where I live (central NC) for $2000 if anyone is interested. Of course for 2 grand I wouldn't expect much.

  • I hope you cleaned all the "Moochie" off the front

  • omg please upload more!

  • omg plz upload more

  • did you meet in person some of the cast from the movie?

  • i want 2 own dat car!!!lolz..can i have it!!

  • love the 50's mopar starters,no giddy giddy giddy

  • I saw the movie just last week on AMC. Its good.

  • If u dont mind me asking wat size motor does it have and all that other stuff about the engine if u dont mind

  • 318 Wedge Dual Fury with twin Carter 4 barrels putting out 290hp stock! Not bad for a huge car back in te day.

  • are you kidding me! thats how much they got outta a 318 :D?

  • She is heavy, lol

  • that acctualy sounds really close to the reving from the begining of the movie?

  • Thank you :)

  • Since the Belvedere is more common, I'm aspiring to build one and put a 528 Hemi in it. 800 horsepower at 6500rpm!!! Lookout world, Christine is back and even more EVIL...

  • I'm glad you shared this video. I would love to have a car like this.

How many actual cars were used and how many stunts were used?

  • I think, 14 and 3 or 4 survived.

  • ive really never heard of that movie but great car man!

  • Go out and rent it, you will not be dissapointed :)

  • I love the movie (and book) Christine, but what exactly was the point of this video?

  • Christine was bored, lol :) Not many people can say they own the actual movie car, so I had to share.

  • was that really the car that was used in the car chase with the chubby kid.

  • Yes, from the time she comes out on to the street and chases him into the dock

  • was it the same car that ran over buddy repperton?

  • No, however I acquired parts from that car to finish mine. They poured rubber cement on that car and set it on fire.

  • did you meet some the cast from the movie?

  • you forgot that fat ass he kills to lol thats funny

  • I would kill to even touch it!!!!

  • you should make it an RC and go around killing people lol

  • I know about 20 something Plymouths were used in the movie. Do you know, how many were saved?

  • There are 3 left that I know of. I have the Moochie chase #2 stunt car, Bill has the Camaro killer stunt unit in Florida and one went to England which was a promo car and not an actual stunt car. Rumor has it there is one in New Hampshire, Stephen King's home town. No one has ever seen it though.

  • It's too bad they had to destroy so many of them, the effects were really good for a movie from that era. It actually brought a number of Fury's and Belvederes back on the road from many people being inspired by it, or so I've heard.

  • I need some help. If anyone knows anything about restoring cars please send me mail. Heres the problem: There is a 1958 Plymouth Fury sitting in the shed of our neighbors, their asking $1000 for it. The original motor only has 75 miles, but the car has been sitting in the shed for over 45 years. Would this car still be restorable? Or would i have to get a totally new motor. The car hasn't gotten a scratch on it. Original paint also, SEND ME MAIL plz!

  • hi, give me your email address and i can help. where is the car? State?

  • just listine puuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr love it man hope you get the rest done

  • Great car! you know, Christine was meant to be a Fury, but lots of Plymouths used in that great movie were Belvederes.
