  • @McVahrencampbell1

Very cool of you to say that. Thx!

  • superb

  • @Fubishay

    Thanks for that.

  • this has truly inspired me in so many ways thank you so much! Very tight band you guys got going on here! Please keep playing music this made me so happy!

But i was wondering are the majority of those bends being made on the D or G string?

  • @PamperedTongue

What a super cool comment, Thx!! I'm Mike, and I'll have to answer for Steve. Pretty sure it's mostly the G string

  • great job guys ,wtf, was that Mitch on drums ?

  • @ronnied828

    Very cool comment. Thank you!

  • This is such a great song and fun to play!!! Keep up the good work!

I work with a Jimi Hendrix Tribute band out of New England. Please check out our version of Manic Depression. I posted it on my YouTube channel. jmj36251

  • @jmj36251

    I'll have a look.

    Peace

  • I must give the Drummer A lot of Credit being on my self ,,This is one song i always had problems doing and he made it look easy ,,Awesome job !!!! & yes the rest of the band sound very good also lol

  • @tandrew05

    Peace!

  • well done

  • @CoitusCunt

    Thank you.

  • these guys are cool

  • @mar777ism

    Thank you.

    Peace!

  • Regarding the comments about the drummer, his tempo is fine. Sure, you can pick it apart and say, "Oh, he should have hit the accents during the ending like Mitchell does" (Just had to throw one in there), but I've seen/jammed with lots of drummers trying to play like Mitchell, and he's one of the most-accurate that I've heard.

So, in closing, I say..... Damn, that drummer's good.

  • @gangtwanger

Thanks for taking the time to say that. That was extremely cool of you.

  • @MajesticSuperiorHen

Agreed. The drumming is no more "off" than the guitar playing or vocals are. You guys are covering legends. It's never going to be a recreation, not even as closely as SRV covered it. The personal nuances make it great. You're covering music that's unfortunately lost on much of the current generation - one that is all-too familiar with compressed, programmed, MP3 crap that's performed by white boys with their caps cocked to the side while pulling on their johnsons.

  • @smmfc

Well said. Thanks for your input.

    Peace & Happiness!

  • that is fuckin awesome

  • @MikeHuntsmellz

That is very much appreciated. Thank You.

    Peace!

  • Nice playing! You guys sound good. Hey drummer check out my cover of this tune. It may help you to improve the groove...Keep Rockin...

  • @jdrum12

    Thanks for watching and commenting.

    Peace!

  • Hmmm...with all due respect, I think it would sound bettr if the drummer lowed down just a little. Other than that, it was great.

  • @jaywhofan

Thanks for taking the time to comment. Steve says you can blame him, as he always likes to play them a little faster, because Jimi almost always always played his own material at a quicker pace, Live.

  • I remember

Randy Hanson doing this @ the Goldlen Bear in Huntington Beach Ca. approx. 1979.

I outstandingly remember the percussionist worked his $xs off in this number.

What I remember the most is Little Wing , Hanson's entire song was flawless, including the vocals, in fact, I thought it was a recording.

I missed Jimi bye about 7 or 9 years.

I appreciate the many talents her as it is awesomly close, if not spot ON.

    Thank You, Love and Repect

  • @waydeepinside

I think I saw him at the same place around 82 or 83. Cool story.

    Thanks for the great comment.

  • As we use to say in the Marine Corps "out focking standing " : - D

  • @georjec

    I like it! Thanks again.

    HUA

  • Very Nice!!

  • @doughodges

Thank you very much for both, watching and leaving a comment!

    Peace!

  • Whatcha' using for a fuzz-tone pedal? Sweet Marshall btw. I have a Analog Man Sunface (with cherry-picked new/old-stock '60's New Market NKT275 germanium transistors). Analog Man makes the best-sounding Fuzzface clones I've ever heard (germanium OR silicon trannies). If you don't already own one of the NKT Sunfaces, do yourself a favor and get one while he's still got a supply of the NOS transistors. He's pretty-much the only one who has the real-deal NKT's, so once they're gone, they're gone.

  • @gangtwanger

Unfortunately, I have to do the answering for Steve. Most of his fuzzes are the Roger Mayer, NOS germanium, Rocket shaped fuzzes. But he says even though they sound different, they are also similar and he switches them often, depending on the sound check. Click on my name and go to the bottom of my channel page to see the Amp and most pedals used. Or the very beginning of our Little Miss Lover video. I'll pass your info to him. Thank you.

  • Nice job. And I appreciate the decent sound. I can't listen to most CD's released after 1995. Too-much mastering-compression/limiting. The loudness-war thing has gotten totally out of hand and it's destroying music. Whenever possible, I listen to vinyl or vinyl-rips. There are some incredibly-talanted vinyl-rippers out there like Pbthal, Aksman, and others who do transfers that smoke the CD versions - I have some great Hendrix vinyl-rips I've downloaded. Can't stand the remasters. Way-too-loud.

  • @gangtwanger

That is very much appreciated, my friend. Thanks heaps.

    PEACE!

  • IS GOOD
