The album is so epic it's initially uncomfortable hearing this song so lo-fi, but it's lo fi enough to make it something new.

Still feels right on par with watching someone like Gwyneth Paltrow read Baudelaire. She is not very convincing. I checked her out because she is constantly being compared to Diamanda Galas. Poor Diamanda. They are nothing alike. I bet DG has had coughing fits that have produced better sonic aesthetics.

Do you not know the Swans? I would check out that, rather than judge by the live recording of a sparse Jarboe line-up.

And I don't mean their cover of "Love Will Tear Us Apart", yawn. I'd check out the fan video for the Swans' "Time is Money (Bastard)", (the one with the war footage) and "Within" (with Neurosis), listed in the "related videos" to this one.
