It is the freedom to practice any religion or none at all without fear of persecution from the government.

I wish Rush would not use such a narrow connotation of liberal so much. If you research the history of political liberalism, you will find it means the opposite of how Rush uses it.

The short version is that Part of the good economy was run-over from Regan's Policies. The other part was that the Republicans had the Majority & were able to block every attempt The President made to implement excessive spending, Gov. entitlement programs & tax increases. Meaning, unlike Pres. Bush & the recent Repubs, they actually governed as Conservatives (at least financially).

We can attribute much of the Government's deficit to Mr. Bush & the Republicans. But we have to ask ourselves the same thing... why? what did they do?

Well, they spent money we did not have on Government programs that did not work.

Which is why I know Mr. Obama will not succeed because he plans to do the same thing, in fact, he plans to do more.

I suspect we will have another Conservative come in to clean up in 2012 just like Reagan cleaned up after Carter.
