... so what you're telling me is that you put up a video of a woodpecker pecking wood... but you covered the sound?? Hearing the pecker was 80% of the reason I'm searching for a video!

Unfortunately, the audio in the original footage is pretty worthless - the shot was zoomed from a distance, and the sounds of lawnmowers, cars passing by and other non-natural ambient noises were all you could hear, so, the visual portion is all that was of any value.

That, and Nuttall's Woodpecker were two of my best guesses. Unfortunately, my "Field Guide to Western Birds" book vanished a few years ago so I'm bird-dumb now!

Lol, that's ok. The only difference between the two that I know of is how speckled their breasts are. *shrugs*
