  • How about Seattle?

  • Thought you were rating skylines? What's with showing all the Golden Gate bridge then? That's NOT a skyline.

  • We have a nice skyline here in Tampa.

  • nyc should have been 1 chicago like 5 or 7

  • @j2011j2015j I am from NY and even I say that its skyline doesn't beat Chicago's,, that city looks like Atlantis rising from the water

  • Chi town is rated the 2nd best skyline in the world..behind hong kong. and #1 in the USA. Chi town all day fuck east coast fuck west coast. midwest hustlers we started the first orginal mobs/gangs motha fuckers and original bluess

  • new york should have been number 1.they have the most buildings over 500 ft.more than any other city.but chicagos skyline is not too shabby either

  • Philadelphia should be on your list... probably after NYC!

  • Does anyone notice how skinny the buildings are in atlanta?

    They are super skinny

  • @nashville1510 They just look skinny because where the picture he took was they were spread apart. The Atlanta pictures he showed weren't very flattering. I've seen way way better pictures of Atlanta's skyline than that. He didn't even show any of Buckhead which in my opinion has the best buildings in Atlanta.

  • @gacaptain

I have family that live in Buckhead and I agree it does have the best skyline

  • Chicago is the best city hands down !!!!! CHI ALL DAY

  • Man New York should have been number One!!!!!! there cit has more than one downtown!!!

  • H-TOWN!

  • 3:26 best pic ever, gota love the chi

  • y u say chi town hav u been around da country i mean not only 1 city has da best i like how ny wuz 2nd n chicago wuz 1st -- its alrite

  • philly, PN and hoboken, NJ woulda been a good one and boston lol

  • You lost your credibility when i saw Boston at 10

  • Top 10 skyline: 1. New York, 2. Chicago, 3. Houston, 4. Miami, 5. San Fransico, 6. Dallas, 7. Phildelphia, 8. Atlanta, 9. Seattle, 10. Boston

  • No Philadelphia? Atleast Minneapolis was on there ;)

  • wow wheres indy

  • chicago is the best

  • Boston beats all by far Beantown should be number 1 go redsox celtics

  • Why the fuck do all you skyline video uploaders put dance music to the video. It makes me give it thumbs down. Take a look at (incredible view of Los angeles at night) video on youtube. the music is perfect.

  • man houston should of been in 5..houston skyline is bigger than Minneapolis Miami and Atlanta and San Fran,

  • big style points for adding Minneapolis! No matter what direction u veiw it from It's poppin'!

  • Where's KC at?

  • dude you made my hometown look like shit. u had the worst pictures of miami.

  • God bless America. This is why I have sympathy for the Europeans. They live in a rainy, boring with hardly any good skylines and only old-fashioned stone buildings that just look horribke. I feel so lucky being America and being amongst such huge and beautiful modern buildings. The greatest country in the world, I will never leave.

  • @ToxicTurquoise454 I'm guessing you've been to Europe then? When I was in London, it was anything but boring. And the reason Europeans have so many stone buildings is because they actually live in REAL houses that were built to last, instead of a manufactured house with plastic siding hauled on a truck.

  • @pwoods100 I don't give a shit about old buildings though. They can kiss my ass. What matters is, we have a hell of a lot of skyscrapers. We really stand as a symbol of unstoppable financial and cultural power and to look at them makes me so proud I'm not living in a cobbled street or on some old farm. I'd be ashamed to be from any other country, THIS really is the place to be.

  • @ToxicTurquoise454 Well, to each their own I guess, but I've actually been to Europe and experianced it for myself. And I have to say, that England is a unique place. They have a preserved culture that is still thriving, something that most Americans don't give a shit about, because alot of people here are too stupid to step outside of their everyday lives and appreciate something different.

  • Chicago rules, best skyline in the world.

  • TEXAS

  • You missed San Diego Cal

  • I agree, NY and Chicago can go either way for tops, NY's is way bigger, but Chicago is more :Jetsons!". I think San Francisco is the #3 easily with 2 huge bridges, hills, amazing city. I am glad to see someone put L.A. high. It is underestimated. Most views of L.A. have such dramatic backgrounds that downtown doesn't look that big, but it really is.

  • You are correct about Chicago being number 1 and New York number 2. You lost your way howver. Atylanta is as nondescript as Charlotte. If you are in a Hi rise on Miami Beach and look across at the bay and Miami's Skyline, you would make it number 3. This is followed by San Fran, then Seattle. Boston would rank higher than Los Angeles . You are obsessed with size, not style. The Texas Toads could take 9 and 10.

  • NO seattle!?!?!?!

  • This is why I'm so sorry for countries like England... they have horrible old-fashioned buildings that are small, we have enormous buildings, and lots of them, we rule. I'd rather go to a massive city than some boring historical trip. I mean, what's more exciting, a massive set of huge buildings or some old castle? IMO England needs to knock down their historical shit and build lots of skylines like ours. I'm sorry for them really, their skylines are so crappy. Then again, England is crap.

  • Toronto is the best in my opinion (who cares if it is in Canada, as if it was a foreign country...).

  • @Scoinsoffaterocks I agree, Toronto's CN Tower is taller than any building in the world except for those Twin ones in Kuala Lampur (sorry I do not know how to spell that correctly

  • @smo1765

    Nope! CN is taller.

It third tallest tower in the world given the definition of a tower is a free standing structure. The only other two towers larger are the Tokyo Sky Tree (2011) and the Canton Tower (2010).

As for the tallest building, it is actually 7th.

In Man made structures in all of history it is a very, very pitiful 101th place. Most of these structures however are radio towers or oil platforms. Excluding these the CN Tower is 4rth.

  • @smo1765 nope, sorry, the tallest building in the world is the burj khalifa in dubei, UAE, over 2,700 ft

  • #2 should be 1940's new york

  • Comment removed

  • Atlanta is more beautiful than Seattle anyday are you nuts andrewerdna?!?!?!?

  • @Noahreyes1112 WHAT ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!? seattle pwns atlanta

  • Atlanta is 10 times more beautiful than Seat\tle anyday!!!!!!!!

  • how could atlanta be over seatle?

  • baltimore or jersey city > boston

  • Houston TX

  • why didnt you show nyc's skyline at night...lol it blows all them out of the water

  • N.Y.C

  • M.P.L.S. is beautiful! Forsure at Night!

  • M.P.L.S. is beautiful!

  • Seattle is by far the best skyline.

  • sunshine state,I LOVE UUUUUUUUUUUUUU MIAMIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

  • Philly skyline kicks all of the skylines butts.

  • @1legomaster Philly's skyline is old and "out of style"....just like most U.S. cities' skylines.

  • for sure chi town has da best skyline

  • Both the sklyines of Atlanta and LA are jumbled messes. Smaller cities like Pittsburgh and Cincinnati have more aesthetic skylines though they don't rise as high.

  • Gawd some people are stupid. The video says "TOP US Skylines"..not best in world. First off Europe's skylines are FEEBLE compared to even the smallest in the US. They have great cities, but skylines...still a work in progress. China has some great skylines, but I would trade it in for freedom of press, expression, movement, thought, and 800 million people in poverty...sorry. Plus, the US invented the modern skyline, and we're building plenty, we just dont need to prove anything like OTHERS do.

  • Cleveland has a very nice skyline as well, at night time and during the day, any picture with the lake in foreground is beautiful

  • @footballplaya77 Cleveland's skyscrapers are old! OUT OF STYLE!!!

  • Most of the US skyscrapers are old .. from the 30.. 70.. 80s with not much new being build now.. This tells us alot about the US economy now... New York in the 1930s was like the center of the world for skyscrapers .. Emipire State Building is still the tallest and it was build in the 1930s.

  • @blazemk I agreee. The skyscrapers in U.S. cities are now getting old and "out of style"....China's skyscarpers are AMAZING....Also, the U.A.E. and Singapore have amazinig skyscrapers! U.S. cities are starting to look like "rust buckets"! LOL!

  • @SubSlaveCD Doesn't matter how modern the skylines look nobody will go to Shanghai over NYC...who wants to travel the world to visit slanty eyed chinks and watch them spit and pick their noses all day? Not me. I'll take the 'older' cities :). You can never compare NYC to Shanghai or Dubai lmfao

  • @TickleMehNancy Oh, you're so right....but, they can see plenty of "slanted eyed chinks" in NYC too....along with alot of other nasty ghetto trash. :)

  • FUCK YEAH! ATLANTA!

  • i love how the song changed for new york and chicago ..

  • This is such US biased list..

  • dude downtown Indy has a beautiful skyline along the white river and also Seattle has a beautiful skyline. Why aren't those two cities in your video?

  • @FroggetandLeo If I could redo the video Seattle would definitely be in the video but, I've been to Indianapolis many times and I wouldn't put it in my top ten even though it is nice.

  • @JMB106 u deff should of put detroit on here, u gotta give love to the motor city man for a great skyline

  • @FroggetandLeo BECAUSE THERE HIS TOP TEN KNULE HEAD

  • @FroggetandLeo

Ya Seattle and Indy has great Skylines

  • I know this is just JMB's opinion's.........but how can you have Boston in the top 10 and not Philly? Boston barely even has a skyline for Godsakes.

  • WHERES CLEVELAND OHIO AT? represent

  • Any skyline list without Seattle is not much of a list.

  • Search "Chinese cities" on YouTube. Chinese cities are so much more modern and spectacular than U.S. cities. Chinese cities are amazing...the skylines are much better and more modern than U.S. cities. U.S. cities look old and all "rusty". Chinese cities skylines put the U.S. cities to shame.

  • @SubSlaveCD LOL "chinese cities put U.S. cities to shame"? you sound chinese from the way you talk.

you guys are all about "putting to shame"... chill out

china's a crappy country, the US is the land of the free and home of the brave

  • @SubSlaveCD Chinese cities look more modern but they smell of soy sauce and shit when you get there so...

  • @TickleMehNancy Really? And, so do U.S. cities....with all their minority ghettos and slums!

  • @SubSlaveCD U.S. don't have slums. We have ghettos, but people choose to be in one.

  • @TickleMehNancy Yes, and NYC smells of rat shit.

  • @SubSlaveCD Dumbfuck, keep thinking about the 70s while we are in the 2010s.

  • Should put New York as #1 and chicago as #2

  • New York should have bin #1 we have the most skyscrappers than any other city we da biggest city

  • I agree.. Chicago has the best skyline and it's the best city in the States architecturally speaking.

  • minneapolis has the best skyline, without question

  • Las Vegas should be in top 5

    1. NYC

    2. Chicago

    3. San Francisco

    4. Las Vegas

    5. Los Angeles

  • @jeevcy Las Vegas? lol.. even us clevelanders can laugh about that one. ;)

  • @jdw3443 have you ever been to Vegas, especially driving into Vegas during the night. It is nothing like seen before.

  • hahaha Shitcago sucks ass, its skyline might be nice but its a mess down below and ugly mess. Seattle is beautiful inside and out from top to bottom!

  • @PabloBobadillaLopez what makes you think chicago is a mess?

  • @JMB106 its just like NYC to many bums to many killings on there own people blacks beating a 16 year old to death! its a windy city and just to many buildings. its to over ratted. the town is flat. and hatters live there. what makes you think its one of the best????

  • @PabloBobadillaLopez First off the video is about the skyline not the city itself. the city's crime has gone up in the past couple years and it is very sad but, the thing is pretty much every major city is like this...every major city has it's good and bad neighborhoods. there are many parts of Chicago that 20 years ago you would be scared to go through and now they have become yuppie neighborhoods.

  • @JMB106 but why isn't Seattle on the top five huh?

  • @PabloBobadillaLopez i actually regret not putting Seattle and Pittsburgh in this video. if i could remake the video it would definitely be in there.

  • @PabloBobadillaLopez Have you ever been to chicago? If you haven't shut you damn mouth. Obviously you dont want to be in the south side, but it's not like we have gangsters driving up and down Michigan sprayin bullets at crowds. They keep to themselves and we keep to ourselves.

  • @PabloBobadillaLopez Not to be a kiss ass, Seattle looks real fly.

  • @PabloBobadillaLopez i live in chicago, and its actually a nice city. you obviously dont know what your talking about, because chicago is a really good place to live in

  • Seattle beats Los Angeles in my opinion.

  • @mrbrunelle

    Agreed. Seattles is larger

  • @mrbrunelle

I agree Seattle has more Skycrapers and Plus Seattle's Skyline is on the Lake and Ocean!

  • Yeah thats true it'd be nice if Atlanta 3 or 4 downtowns were all together in one spot than Dahm!

  • I agree with chicago @ 1 Its hard to capture all of atlanta because it has 3 separate skylines. Buckhead, downtown and midtown.

  • Fuck Chicago, San Diego is No,1

  • yeah chicago is best, sh!ts all over NY really and LA looks like a slum

  • chicago

  • yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah :)

  • what about philly or pittsburgh

  • Chicago all the way!!!

  • Even more than great man!!!!!!!

  • Chicago Is Definately Number One. But Atlanta Deserves more credit too!

  • Minneapolis # 13 behind Boston and Las Vegas. Both height and quantity should be considered but height being the most important for visual impact. No I'm not from any of these cities. Alexandria, LA doesn't even score. I've been to New York, Houston, Atlanta, Dallas, Philadelphia, and Las Vegas. Vegas wasn't impressive because the buildings are so wide it diminishes their height, but math. Houston, 3 bldngs over 900 ft. Miami, 0. Philadelphia, Atlanta, each with 3 over 800 ft. Minneapolis, 0.

  • Where's Vegas!!!??

  • CHICAGO STAND UP! Chi town dwarfs ny and l.a when you look at the skyline

  • no Houston please . Dallas is 1000 times better than Houston

  • Notable omissions: Cincinnati (heading north on I-75 into downtown through "the Cut-in-the-Hill"); Pittsburgh (from Mt. Washington); St. Louis (looking west from the Mississippi). I would also put the Seattle and Denver skylines before Miami, Houston and Atlanta. The northern skylines (esp. Minneapolis) are appealing for their compactness & uniformity (for the necessity to link the buildings with skyways due to the cold winters). Southern skylines tend to be more disjointed and spread out.

  • I think you put L.A. a little high but as long as you got Chicago #1 its a good list. If you go to Chicago and go on the Seadogs at navy pier then youll see the ABSOULUTE whole skyline with a really fun ride.

  • The LA skyline is overrated. And those pictures of Atlanta were kind of old, the city looks a lot better now.

  • yeah!! Chicago#1

  • minneapolis should be ahead of LA, and for god's sakes at least above Atlanta :D

  • Beautiful, my favourite are Chicago and Dallas! I love the United States! Greetings from Italy! :)

  • Houston!!!! ftw!!!! i love you H Town!!

  • i like minneapolis skyline

  • @vikesdude123 I LOVE IT! i love living here, its great. got everything you need to live and alot to do, very beautiful skyline one of the best

  • yes i'd hae to agre that Chicago has one of the best. I wish my hometown of St. Louis made the list.

  • LETS GO CHICAGO WE # 1 BITCH

  • born and lived most of my life in Chicago it is number one : )

  • I think Los Angeles and Miami(OK, they have some water and a pink building) are overrated. I think Pittsburgh and Kansas City(which you never see on these lists) are underrated. Chicago and NY are easily the best.

  • nope i dont....but i wish to one day...i live in bryan college station right now

  • I do agree that Chitown is the best....pictures cant show how much more massive that area downtown is than any other US city. Besides Manhattan. Its huge and a ton more to see than any other skyline I think. But it appears that you live there and that isnt fair. I live near LA and like Chicago more but wouldnt include LA in my top 10 since its where I live. LA skyline is not about height anyways, kinda sucks. But the hills are sweet.

  • 1.Los Angeles Luv 2.New York 3.Chicago 4.San Fran 5.Miami 6.Seatlle 7.Houston 8.San Diego 9.Phily 10.Boston
  • My top 10 is 1)Chicago 2)New York 3)Miami 4)Houston 5)San Francisco 6)Atlanta 7)Dallas 8)Boston 9)Seattle 10)San Diego

  • houston has the best skyline, you feel like your in an urbanized area, but there is a park right next to it, that makes it feel like your in the country or something. for example at 0:50.

  • @marchingbanddude aaaaaaaaannnnnnnd you live where? Umm...Houston?

  • @crabbigail2007 of course i live in houston!!!!

  • @marchingbanddude you dont get it...sentimental favorites skew your results if your ranking stuff like this. I think most people get affectionate to what they are comfortable and familiar with

  • MY TOP 10 IS .. 1)HOUSTON TX 2)HOUSTON TX 3)HOUSTON TX 4)HOUSTON TX 5)HOUSTON TX 6)HOUSTON TX 7)HOUSTON TX 8)HOUSTON TX 9)HOUSTON TX 10)HOUSTON TX
  • @solis2795 aaaaaaaaannnnnnnd you live where? Umm...Houston too???

  • MIAMI has the US's third largest skyline ;)

  • LA is a terrible city with a terrible skyline. Atlanta has a crappy skyline but the city itself is beautiful (and so are the girls in it). Minneapolis should be number 1.

    .

  • @kmiller812 yes... MPLS may not be the hugest city population-wise (cuz of the sucky winters), but besides that it is soooo gorgeous... the river... the people... and of course the skyline looks amazing at sunset... lived there all my life! :) :)

  • @MiNnViKiNgSrOcK again another one for the hometown skyline....Obviously its the heart choice. Whats the other favorite you dont live in?

  • @crabbigail2007 Seattle and Atlanta

  • Lets don't forget about Cincinnati!

  • @RetroHead92 The best veiw of atlanta is from cumberland in cobb. Go to a parking deck that has a straight shot to the city and look out to the best skyline in the us.

  • I like Atlanta and Chicago's skyline.

  • Mineapolis has one of the best skylines.

  • Minneapolis at night is by far the best skyline in the world

  • Please don't forget that this is SKYLINES and not which city is the "best". Chicago is so, so gorgeous and I'm so proud to live here.

  • NYC!!@!!!!!!

  • Houston indeed has one of the best skylines in America. I visited it only once. Leaving Houston at night is AMAZING. And heading towards it in the day is breathtaking, especially their Bank of America tower. Miami's is the other best skyline for me because of the view of the colorful lights, you have to BE THERE to really enjoy it. New York USED to be my #1 but it's kind of pointless now without the world trade center welcoming you from New Jersey. So I definitely give it to Chicago & Miami.

  • Oh yeah, I'm from Atlanta... I have to say... visiting other cities... Atlanta wouldn't even be on my list. The only thing that really draws my attention when I go downtown is the The State Capitol, The Peachtree Towers, The New Symphony Tower, & the B.O.A. Tower. I love our buildings, but I don't like the skyline cause our city is built on a hill, so the taller buildings end up looking shorter than what they are.

  • @RetroHead92 I think thoses Atlanta pics dont do justice because it wasnt the hold skyline. It was only downtown dont u agree?

  • @Jeremiahk2012 you have a point. which is another thing. Atlanta is one of those cities that are composed of more than one city. But that goes back to what I said... The way it was designed doesn't do justice for the buildings in mid-town and up-town. I drive from i-75 south, so when I get downtown. All I can see are the four towers ahead. All the other great skyscrapers are hidden in the background. The only way you can truly enjoy the skyline is driving from I-20.

  • @RetroHead92 Yes and have u noticed that our midtown skyline is so gothic styled and our uptown is so modern. Plus when you are at ground level especially in the Farlie-Poplar district in downtown everything has a old style to it. I LOVE IT!! P.S im going to the GA Aquarium Today!!!!!!

  • @Jeremiahk2012 yeah, they're trying to make it more modern now. Can't really blame them though since downtown has buildings from the 1970s and midtown is more of the 1990's. It's about time they upgrade the skyline. Enjoy your trip.

  • IM FROM MINNEAPOLIS!!!

  • LOS ANGELES AND BOSTON HAVE THE BEST SKYLINES

  • mann u shoulda deff had the detroit skyline on there.....its so amazing....i live in michigan and go there all the time....and ive also been to chicago....i can honestly say that detroit is better then chicago

  • I LOVE HOUSTON TEXAS

  • This list is biased towards the US...

  • @TSM8088 Well seeing as how the poster explicitly said these were US cities...gee I wouldn't think to guess that they'd all be American.

  • 1.New York-biggest,very urban,internationally recognizable,

    2.Las Vegas-most distinct,very colorful,

3.San Francisco-natural surroundings, Golden Gate Bridge,

....the rest is pretty much the same

  • You could of got better pictures of Atlanta.

  • This is the top 10 I have been to 1) Chicago 2) NYC 3) San Fran 4) Seattle 5)Minneapolis 6)Miami 7) Atlanta 8) Houston 9) Philly 10) LA- overrated 10)
  • minneapolis has to be in the top 3 for skylines at night.

  • AND FUCK U STUNTINLIKEMYDADY91

  • GO MINNEAPOLIS MN BABY

  • Chicago is very beautiful at night. went there with my brother and we had so much fun.

  • st louis? arch?
