I think the scene in "Night and the City" in which Gregorious has that epic fight with The Strangler is just as good, maybe even better because the tension is so high. I can barely stand to watch it.

This wrestler name is Kola Kwariani but known as Nick the wrestler World Champion at Greco-Roman style wrestling. He lived in NYC& loved play chess 5-6d straight sometimes going w/o sleep. He died NY Sadly when 5 youths attacked him on way play chess. He was age 77. He fought the youths despite his age but eventually after a battle he succumbed. Which is really ashame that there was no respect for his age. However,that ittook 5 of them to down him at age 77 attest to his strength and will power.

That is professional wrestler 'Kola Kwariani' who played the part of Maurice Oboukhof in THE KILLING. He was also an expert chess player who played in the same chess club as Stanley Kubrick, the New York Chess & Checker Club (alias, the fleahouse). Kola Kwariani was beaten to death at age 77 in the chess club in February 1980 by five black teenagers.
