@gof666 It wasn't a weakness per se. Batman kept humming it to stay awake and to focus himself, preventing Dr Destiny from infecting his dreams and cursing him. It eventually drove DD crazy due to the effort he was trying to put into screwing with Batman; he only managed to produce hallucinations at best because Batman was basically chanting Frère Jacques as a survival mantra and never fell completely asleep. Of course...you don't want to be in Batman's head, so he would of lost anyway.

Of all the members of the Justice League, Batman was the worst target Destiny could even think of. Back in Gotham City, he is used to striking fear into the hearts of criminals, and time and time again, he faced his own nightmares because of Scarecrow's fear gas.

Attacking someone with such an understanding of fear using his own nightmares was a bad move, Destiny.

Keep in mind that the animated series does not specify an exact timeline. So it could be taking place just after Hal Jordan retires and passes on his role to Jon.
