  • LOL!! I'm going to lick batteries tonight how about you??? lol!!!

  • Thanks helped for my chemistry project

  • on this medinine in one month I gain over a 100lbs.....i would never recoumend this medinicne to on one.....unless you can control you weight while on this medicine......i started on this med i weighted 125lbs ended up in one month 276lbs and i'm still fighting the weight to get back to my goal weight.......i have bi-ploar and will never get on this meds no matter what......

  • Saved my life. Two months in and no side effects at all. I wish I was'nt so afraid of it....I would have taken it much, much, sooner.

  • Omg! I have been taking lithuim for 7 yearsish... Love the stuff! This video makes it look hell hardcore! Go us Beepers we are tough xx

  • Lithium is the one med I have taken continuously for my manic depression. None of the others worked and had 10 times the side effects of Lithium. I drink lots of water, pee more, and have a tremor in my right hand. Better than weight gain, diabetes, and stroke as a side effect-you hearing my risperdal and zyprexa??

  • This video didn't teach me much that I didn't already know, I take 800mgs of Lithium Carbonate a day, when I first started taking it there were bizarre side effects, but after a year it stopped, and I've never been calmer in my life. No need for an epic amount of drugs or alcohol anymore- and no more suicidal pangs. I find it messes with my vision occasionally which is odd. I also have never been diagnosed with bipolar, disorders and medications arn't always synonymous. Happy medicating everyone

  • its just a coinidence 101

  • So far I really like lithium, I've been dx'd and treated for years and only now just put on lithium & I feel like I'm not even bipolar anymore since I'm on it - I could never ever say that before - I was always depressed or hypomanic (not typically full on manic since I was on so many drugs at one time so I never went full on manic on meds - only off of them) I always responded to most drugs, but none as dramatically as Lithium & so far no side effects at all..(I still have a cocktail though)

  • @Birdier1968n I'm bipolar and I've learned to cope with it through counseling and medication.

  • i thought all meth labs were illegal

  • probably worth noting though is taht on comming off Lithium treatments, the suicide rate jumps to many times that of those before they went on

  • Hahaha! Um, not. Kind of a stupid video, all over the place.

  • Very informative thanks.

  • read Robert Whitaker y'all

  • One should remain cognizant that extended use of lithium as a mood stabilizer for Bipolar patients often causes problems with kidney function which can eventually lead to the need for kidney dialysis and/or kidney transplants.

  • @ECheGuevera Thats why its important to have a doctor thats skilled in prescribing it. The damage occurs when lithium levels get too high, if prescribed properly, it has virtually no impact on the kidneys.

  • I must say that I wish i was put on to Lithium years ago. I find now that if i skip ONE day without taking it, my bipolar kicks in pretty bad!! Been trying to educate my friends and family about bipolar and the meds, like lithium, used to treat it.. This is one way of showing them what Lithium is all about!

  • I will go on lithium for the first time in 10 days. cannot wait. i have bipolar really bad and the disease is all over my family as is addiction. bipolar sucks, man. it started for me at 19 and has gotten way worse over the past 4 years. if u have this disease badly, u will kill yourself or wind up living in a crack house without treatment. hopefully, this will be a new beginning. sorry, i just had to find a place to bitch.

  • @phatpimp120 Also lamictal! Try that to the two are a both a good combo

  • i'm on lithium and found it to be the best mood stabalizer i have ever been on. Yeah there can be side effects but my moods are no where near dangerous anymore.

  • i need something to slow my brain down. i can't stop thinking even when there is nothing to think about. then when i do slow down i get depressed. it is a cycle that cannot be altered. if lithium is the solution then it is worth investigating

  • I have always wanted to see 2 kgs of Lithium hit a fishless pond. (Fishless because I don't want to blow the suckers up.)

  • lithium was the this first drug that ever really worked for my bipolar II disorder.

  • WELL Lithium is toxic--made have the poops for weeks! i rather have my mood swings than craping my self at the kroger store-car-dr appt-anywere! Ill get my lithium the old way-- mixing my ceramic glazes with lithium in them. really lithium is not for all! SO BE CAREFUL U MIGHT CRAP YOU PANTS!

  • umm. so I take lithium and I was wondering if I have to tell my wife not to lick me? eheheheheeheh

  • PLEASE DO NOT LICK !!! LOL

  • thank you so much for this. i am doing a project for my psych class on Lithium so this helped alot!

  • please i need lithium right now.

can somebody tell me where i can find ok doses

  • Superb - I wathed this video for the first time a year ago. Technically flawless, informative and fun.

  • i'm on lithium and it saved me....and i'm not a robot, i get happy and sad, just not so manic and depressed!!!!!

  • I wish I had that nice intermission music whenever i learned something scientific.

  • Lithium in the " therapeutic dose " will take away your ability to feel happy, sad, anything. Basically a dull zombie version of yourself. Mabe instead of licking batteries, you could take about 1600mg. for ten days or so, them have someone TELL YOU HOW YOU FEEL, You'll be dull as a butter knife mentally !

  • I have Bipolar but this video though interesting has made me feel even less like taking Lithium.

  • I have been taking Lithium for about 8 years and it was the first medication that has worked for me, its not perfect but I feel its close enough and the medicated bipolar is better than rotting in some mental hostpital.

  • yeah same especially at the end when they say that it's toxic, if it's toxic why should anybody take it?

  • Excellent show, well presented and informative!

  • Love the music!

    Who needs Lithuim!

Thanks for this clever and informative morsel!

    Sucking on batteries....hmmmm....

  • Birdier1968n:

I'm certainly not proud of it-- for the simple reason that all the blood, sweat and tears I put into life came crashing ten fold harder. I once believed Mania gave me strength of character-- that there was a clarity and sense of purpose not experienced during normal phases.

The only problem was that there was increased vulnerability at a time I least expected it. The feeling of empowerment was my vulnerability.

Knowing the wrong people during those times facilitated disaster.

  • You just wanted an excuse to but a thermonuclear explosion in your video

  • what the hell has that got to do with anything?

  • I cannot believe the amount of hateful comments about this subject. I didn't even realize it was bi polar disorder as a disorder was a question?

Also, even if those with bi polar disorder are cruel, does this make them an unequal human being?

Also, not all of those with bi polar disorder are cruel and wicked to others.

Simply because you have had a bad experience with the mental disorder does not mean you have the place to generalize every single person with bi polar disorder.

  • I got him on the run

  • your so called method of shunning isnt workin considering that the most intelligent people and best actors are bipolar.

  • @GurnSi clearly you are referring to one of the cluster B disorder like narcissism, antisocial or borderline PD...

    histrionics are usually just annoying...

  • it v obvious that GurnSi is a really lonely sad person if all they can do is make up shit all day bout ppl they know nothing about. Maybe whatever person treated you like that just done that cus your a stupid bastard and deserved to be treated that way. maybe you should read a book and actually do yourself a favour you ignorant runt.

  • Truth hurts, I see...

And don't misrepresent me, you fucking liar, as referring to "other mental disorders". I have referred ONLY to bipolar. Which despite the alleged 10 million "sufferers" in the world's dumbest cuntRY, & enormous amounts spent (i.e. wasted) on its "research", remains IDIOPATHIC. ;D

Smart shrinks know it is a FRAUD. The simplest explanation & a shameful one. These asswipes pretend to have an illness that compels them to behave abominably, & expect welfare, sympathy etc.

    FOAD

  • "I am Bipolar and I am pround of it!!"

Yeah, I'm sure you are "pround" (LOL!) "of" it... ;D

And also of the welfare checks you get flowing your way as a result of your fraudulent ailment.

  • Need to be with a Bipolar??Expect: Violence;verbal abuse Immorality/cheating/lawsuits Insults,demands,ingratitude Lying/exaggerating Crazy destructive moods,habits,sleep patterns Paranoia,all your predecessors'wicked liars' No remorse/conscience,no'Sorry' Recklessness re work,friends,house,driving,cash Boasting/grandiosity Irrational,unpredictable conduct,rants They're perfect;always right,never learn Breathtaking hypocrisy Drug,tobacco,alcohol abuse Denial: to them,you're nuts! Pain,grief.RUN!
  • I let you know if the truth hurts if you where telling any .. but only truth your revealing is that your are a laughable prick with way too much time on his hands.. go get a life toss pot.

  • "but only truth your (sic) revealing is that your (sic) are a"

Hey there, Donna-The-Retard! What were you doing when they taught apostrophization at your school? You're a moron! ;D ;D

"if you where (sic) telling any"

    That's a classic! Can't even differentiate "where" & "were"... hilarious! ;D

Keep on going, super-smart bipolar. How much benefit have you claimed already?

And share why if you fucking bipolars pose such a huge SUICIDE risk, there are so many of you lazy, lying tuckfards? ;D ;D

  • wtf you people actually think that they choose to be that way or that all people with the disorder are like that your wrong! so do everyone a favor and stop commenting with your steoriotypes and delete the ones you wrote! achem**GurnSi?!?!

  • Hey cumbdunt! Birdier1968n already admitted to it in her comment. Now, fuck off.

  • proud of being bipolar Birdier? of being manic and suicidally depressed? You are misidentified. You are not bipolar. The symptoms are just something you experience. Bipolar is not a special mutation or a cool kids club. Having mental illness is not something to be proud of. If you were empowered to beat bipolar what then? If you had a cure for bipolar would you want it? You seem to love the label too much to want to be free of it, You wouldn't have this identity to lean on and be proud of

  • You are quite wrong Birdier, I am not 'managing' anything. The symptoms are gone as though they were never there. I practiced meditation every day for hours during my twenties. The result was that my brain changed. There is scientific evidence that prolonged meditation increases the size and connections of the prefrontal cortex, that is where the bulk of emotional and cognitive processing goes on. What I did cured my illness more completely than any other supposed cure out there.

  • I'm aware of toxins in cleaning supplies, make up, carcinogens in food, you can't escape our toxic species, bluntly. All the way to people's attitude being toxic, like a lot of the of the degradation going on around here.I tell you how to avoid being 'bi polar' avoid you guys and study the history of psychiatric, then shit yourself. But no one can sit down with you for 15 minutes and say you have a mental illness unless they're flipping through the DSM which has an illness for everything normal$

  • Here, Here. couldn't of said it better myself.

  • people who are under the age of five should not be allowed to post on youtube.

  • I don't care if i am prescribed Lithium, if it's toxic it will not go into my body :/ *Taking the meditation route to get through her Bipolar Disorder and PTSD*

  • BattleMage52, you ingest things every day that are toxic. The air you breathe contains toxins. The food you eat contains toxins. That's the price we pay for living in a modern society. Lithium can be toxic, true, but so can table salt if you eat too much. I know some people who manage their bipolar without meds, but they have very low-stress lives and not many responsibilities. Lithium is not toxic at low levels, and docs monitor your blood to make sure it doesn't get toxic.

  • It can be when your Dr. Proscribes you Feleden, which is an NSAID that raises lithium levels, the very same day you are prescribed lithium. No communication between the Dr. or the psyche lady. When you've watched a few of your family members murdered by drugs the moment they enter the ER,it makes you watch your back and learn whatever you can so that the same thing doesn't happen to you. Post above about my awareness of toxins in everything. The cause of my sadness is chronic pain, not bipolarlol

  • Correct me if I am wrong in interpreting you djb, It's cool for bipolars to avoid lithium if they have low stress, but if they have a high stress then they have to take lithium? Why not just learn meditation or yoga? One of the oldest Western books on meditation is 'The Relaxation Response'. You can teach yourself how to destress yourself and stay emotionally and cognitively stable in the midst of a thousand distractions. Lithium does not fix anything. It treats symptoms, not the problem itself.

  • GurnSi you are making a rash generalisation about all "bipolars", based on limited (if any) experience of people with this problem. You should try not doing that.

  • peacelovestrife, you need to find out what "PubMed" is. It isn't a reference to a saloon or bar.

You should try not doing that.

  • Not exactly true, you are referring to a personality type dealing with bipolar. How unfortunate you must've been to be with one as such, as I have dealt with one, whom I AVOID. How ever, I'm bipolar, and am very meek, introverted, and avoid people entirely if I'm not feeling well. I don't bring others down with me. No family, no one deals with me on my dark days. As for spending money, that is fixed in self realization and through self control.

  • BattleMage52 - thank you for sharing that. However, posting what to you must evidently be complex messages when under some malign narcotic influence results in gibberish.

Write it out again, in short sentences. No compound ones. It might then be comprehensible.

Are you a bipolar fraudster - simply using BP to mask your evil behavior - or are you one of the few ones who are genuine kooks? (The other ones start out sane, but running the con eventually makes them into kooks too).

  • I'm not under drugs. I've been studying psychology for a number of years as an interest, so I must quote you, "Denial: to them, you're the nut!", then ask you to reread what I said to you and then for you to read your paranoid response, and ask you to let go of your past experiences, that's it's ok, the crazy person you once had a relationship with can't get you anymore. O_O We're not all cardboard cut outs, it's not that simple to be so assumptive.

  • BattleMage52 - a very clear response. Thanks.

Your projection re my own motivation is understandable, given the data available to you. It is wrong, but that is irrelevant.

  • GurnSi:

I'd actually have to say illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder pose the greatest risk to friends and family than any other illness.

The nature of Borderline Personality Disorder means harm-- whereas Bipolar and Schizophrenic people can be innately good people.

Never trust someone with Borderline.......... Think of Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction as an example of a true societal menace.

  • The statements you have made are full of ignorance, stereotypes, stigma, and extreme overgeneralizations.

  • The comment I posted is in response to apophysis7 ... please stop with your judgemental and inaccurate comments

  • marylilly1:

Please stop? My comments were weeks ago. I stated my opinion and moved on appropriately.

And I take it you are referring to Borderline Personality Disorder? In my experience the end result was inevitably the same with every single relationship I've had with women diagnosed with this condition.

Betrayal of all trust-- every venomous word of affection spoken only sets the stage for all misery that follows.

Social networks, career and one's overall health are all placed in jeopardy.

  • Oh, really? Then cite one example of a notable person in history with Borderline Personality Disorder.

  • Wow GurnSi, u musta had a relationship with a bipolar. I was with someone I didn't know was bipolar, I don't even know if she knows she is bipolar but after puttin all the pieces of the puzzle together and tons of reading and research I now understand why she was acting the way she did.

  • Healthy people don't do "tons of reading" to explain failed relationships. Let her go.

  • well my friend people with these disorders don't say anything mostly keep quiet and I needed some answers so I had to read when what who and why they act the way they do and I now understand and no longer confused

  • Comment removed

  • GunSI, I have NEVER, EVER met anyone who "wants" to be bipolar. That's like somebody wanting to have AIDS or cancer. It just doesn't happen. People don't go around trying to be bipolar, it's just how they are. I would gladly give up being bipolar if it meant having a normal life, not having to take a bunch of medications, and having to be hypersensitive to my moods and behavior. You are sadly misinformed if you think ANYBODY "wants" to be bipolar.

  • Another example (as if one needed more) of how stupid & retarded bipolars are... Well, djb1969, you have another of your fucking kooks (Birdier1968n) replying to you contradicting your assertion.... LOL! ;D

  • @djb1969 i love being bipolar actually. i hated while i was taking the meds though.

do you feel better after you started taking the meds? or can't you remember how you felt because your mind is so dulled down nowadays?

meds are pushed by the pharmaceutical-scientific complex. check out the Soteria method. no meds, no doctor who says that he knows how to cure you and way better results.

also check out the videos of Sean Blackwell on Youtube: bipolarorwakingup.

    this is what helped me.

  • @djb1969

You gotta admit its fun when the mania kicks in. But i find myself depressed much more often so thats no fun.

  • Comment removed

  • GurnSi: that's HORRIBLE dude

  • b1rtm4n wrote "that's HORRIBLE"

Yes, I agree - the FRAUD perpetrated by f*cking bipolars is worse than horrible, it is disgusting. What can one do but SHUN?

  • No you're comments are horrible, but whatever, it's your life think what you want.

Truth be told, there is no fraud or there would be no such diagnosis in the DSM, really huh?

Sure there probably are some out there with bipolar who play on it, but some people are just fucked, mental illness or not. At the end of the day we are all still people.

WE ARE THEM & THEY ARE US

  • "No you're comments"

Why is "you" always so illiterate? We read all the claims that bipolars are smart... LOL@tuckfard! The reality is that most bipolars belong to the bottom 20% of the population in intelligence. It takes a special type of fucking dumbass to believe one can fake being mentally ill for years without side-effects.

In reply to your "proof" - there is a huge drug & shrink industry feeding off DSM-IV. The simplest explanation for asymptomatic, idiopathic "bipolar" is F R A U D ;D

  • Like I said, whatever, it's YOUR life

  • I don't know what benefit anyone would get from this fraud bipolar, I live in a country where the only thing I receive for my diagnosis is a script for mood stabilizers once a month (which I pay full price for), apart from that I receive nothing but being looked down upon, why would I commit myself to such a MASSIVE fraud to get all that?

I don't understand what this thing they call bipolar is myself, but before drugs I was loosing jobs, friends and couldn't hold down a relationship, now I can

  • "I don't understand what this thing they call bipolar is myself"

LOL! Easy - BP is wicked, evil, malicious behavior, currently sanctioned by the State under the heading of "idiopathic psychiatric condition". But some of us are not so gullible, tuckfard! ;D

A damned good beating (or hundred) would have cured bipolar. Another cure would be the total withdrawal of sympathy+welfare, & prosecution & imprisonment of shrinks who collaborate even 1% with bipolars.

The truth stings,eh? Well, fuck off.

  • "The truth stings"

It does... Luckily you talk shit!

  • "instead of abusing me"

So you can dish it out but you can't take it?

You feel pretty strongly about this and I know there is at least two sides to every story.

I don't even have bipolar, I have cyclothymia, not currently classed as the same. It has ruined my life and I didn't even know I had it until recently.

I am none of the things you have said. I felt terrible for the effect I had on people, even isolated myself to avoid harm when trying to do right.

*Have you met all "fucking bipolars"?

  • "you can dish it out but you can't take it"

The above meets your usual standard of accuracy - viz., ZERO.

    "I don't even have bipolar"

That's what they ALWAYS say... LOL@'tard!

"Have you met all "fucking bipolars""

No. Good grief, you are D-U-M-B even for a convict-child. ;D

"I felt terrible for the effect I had on people"

So WHY DID YOU PERSIST in doing it? Now get back on your meds, STFU, FOAD, masturbate with a crucifix - I don't really give a damn.

  • youre right not all bipolars are friendly . and some will even spend lifetimes stocking theyre prey just to kill them but first well play around with them a little.

  • If you don't believe it's a disease, then why are you telling him to get back on his meds?!

  • shut up and go heil your Fuhrer.

  • If ever there was a reason to modify the first amendment... and possibly the sixth commandment...

  • Obviously your argument is flawed if all you can do is pick on spelling errors and typing mistakes, you should admit defeat and keep your views to yourself

  • god its easy to find wankers on the internet but I must say you are the biggest saddest one I've seen so far.

  • Truth hurts, eh, tuckfard?

  • Lithium cave my sanity, I would eat raw pig guts if it was as effective as lithium.

  • You do realize that you are eating a "metal" much heavier than lithium when you eat ordinary table salt? SODIUM.

What you say? No that's a salt, not really metal. Well people don't eat lithium straight either, as a drug it's (suprise) a salt.

  • Salt is not only sodium. It sodium chloride. NaCl. If you ate raw sodium, it would fuck you up. Sodium is an alkaline metal, not a salt(surprise)which is a MINERAL.

  • I think that's exactly what I said. NaCl is a SALT. Lithium SALTS are what are used for bipolar drugs.

  • I know, you said SODIUM, not SODIUM CHLORIDE. They mix bromine and lithium, or chlorine and lithium. Lithium and sodium react almost the same way. Not just by themselves. :)

  • fuck that low therapeutic index bullshit

  • some metals are necessary for biological function. Most are not.

  • Love the ending, lol.

Really helped with my health project!

  • Except for the warning at the beginning, this would have been much easier to watch if it weren't so boring.

  • its not heavy

  • im on 900mg of that shit a day, but it honestly helps keep me stable in my mood swings but doesnt help me sleep.

  • sposed to be really helpful yes.

  • look into seroquel. it's a sedative. your doctor can perscribe. works like a charm.

  • look into seroquel beckmerc? you know seroquel is an antipsychotic right? when exactly did antipsychotics lose their chemical lobotomy status? They never did. All anti psychotics cause brain volume reduction over time. That sleep is the result of diminished activity of the frontal lobes and the interference of normal brain function. It's the sleep of the dead and dying. When you are dead, your frontal lobes are inactive. Seroquel speeds you to your grave by poisoning your brain.

  • hehe did anyone think they made it seem funny heh that was good to watch

  • As DDT accumulated in organisms in higher and higher concentrations as it moved up the food chain, so too does lithium bioaccumulate until it reaches toxic levels and the organism dies. Lithium helps to preserve a person as a socially useful unit but is absolutely anathema to the fluorishing of a human being. Lithium is a screw on the lid of a hot pressure cooker. As Cipher said about seeing an agent, do like the rest of us do when a charlatan disguised as a doctor offers you Lithium, RUN!

  • thank you this helped me immensely on my project

  • God bless those peach coloured pills

  • lmao "warning after seeing this video certain viewers have attempted licking batteries to calm themselves"

  • essential oils and aminos are a better alternative...

  • yeah dude, I really was wigging out for a long time, then after switching all these drugs they started me on Lithium and now i'm pretty stable. freakin bipolar SUCKS.

  • Have you heard of Empowerplus made by truehope. It has helped me better than anything. I no longer am manic.

  • empowerplus? I've never heard of that, can you send me a link. I'm stable but still get super depressed randomly.

  • Just google Truehope and it will come up.

  • thank you.

  • Lithium carbonate saved my life. What an excellent little drug! Thanks for the video. Really interesting and informative.

  • same here. I take an extremely low dose, but it has kept me at a comfortable mood level for almost a year now. Perfect for me.

  • That drug is disgusting. It made me gain 80 pounds. Perpetual dry mouth. Constant thirst which led to UTIs. It damaged my kidneys and poisoned my blood. It gave me stretch marks, neurological problems and destroyed my passions. I refused lithium It is a toxic poison and gives no benefit. It takes and takes and sickens you and gives nothing back.

  • How did lithium give you stretch marks? From the weight gain?

I've been taking lithium for ten years, first as a secondary, and now as my primary med. It is the only drug that has worked for me over the long term. However, I know it doesn't work for everybody. Everybody needs to find what works for them, whether it's lithium, depakote, geodon, tegretol, seroquel, whatever.

  • yes, from weight gain. now let's examine your strategy. Everyone needs to find what works for them whether it's toxin A, B, C or D. what?

what happened to therapy? what happened to self analysis, self critique and self modification? what happened to insight meditation? why must people's options be, drugs, or drugs or drugs? where have you received this propaganda djb?

I had bipolar 1, the worst kind and have been in total remission without drugs or counseling for ten years.

  • what works for you may not work for others, it isn't rocket science.

  • Really? Then you should write a book with testimonials on your job, relationships and love life. I've tried lots of do it on my own, and most times am not positive if what i feel is right or not

  • lithium didn't work for me, it caused psychotic breaks when I took it. just because it did not work for me doesn't mean it will not work for others. the important thing is to find what works for you and sometimes that is an exhausting process. If I had but one wish I would remove bi-polar syndrome from the face of the earth.

  • My Dad and I are both Bipolar, same subtype. I was Bipolar from infancy and had my first panic attack at the age of 5 (without history of abuse) and first major (suicidal) depression at the age of 9. The inheritance pattern is either X-linked or is a defect on the tip of one of the arms of Chromosome 11. So for those who think that BP isn't a real disease, think again.

  • There is still chemical imbalance when these drugs are used. The urine, blood and hair of mentally ill people still show abnormal chemical balances. The balance in the brain is changed, but the first cause (appears to be metal poisoning in most cases) is not dealt with by standard treatment.

  • optifog,

I had all those biological screening tests performed inpatient. Urine, blood, the works. There was nothing in my labs that demonstrated any chemical imbalances whatsoever. It is complete malarkey. There is no chemical imbalance test for bipolar. If there was, you can not say *chemicals* you are required to define and classify them.

  • Not all of them are detectable by most methods. E.g. some people show no signs of mercury poisoning until having some form of chelation therapy, after which mercury levels are detectable and very high, suggesting it's not showing up because the body is not getting rid of it properly through the hair and urine.

  • Plus most tests are specific for certain hormones, minerals or poisons; few people are tested for every possible abnormality. However the physiological patterns that have been found in various disorders are revealing, as are the results of treatments that work on them directly.

  • 'There is no chemical imbalance test for bipolar. If there was, you can not say *chemicals* you are required to define and classify them.'

B vitamins. Lithium (not the drug compound, the nutrient form). Glutamine. Taurine. Cadmium. Aluminium. All implicated in mental health studies, please research.

  • ^That's FAR FAR from all of them I've come across by the way.

  • I am new to medical research, where can i find papers with this information, of Lithium, glutamine, taurine, cadmium, and others?

<May suffer from bipolar, currently being treated by my own nutrtional program, which has worked wonders, especially omega 3, SAMe 400mg, B complex, now a patient at Brain Bio Centre in London for biochemical testing.

  • Nice disclaimer?

  • thx for the vid. Been on lithium since 2002, they got me on 2700mg daily. I feel sorry for my kidney/liver. But hey, gots to take it if I want to be stable. Good luck to you all mentally ill people

  • great vid thanks :)

  • The humor is top notch. Man If I was manic I would take some better drugs. They should think about toking up.

  • It was once used as table salt but people died. I got a small laugh out of that part, not the fact that people died just how they said it

  • Did the people die right after they ate the lithiumsalt?

If not do you think that if you take lithium as medication that you will die after ten years?

  • They're very serious about required blood tests for patients taking lithium. My former psychiatrist had me on a ridiculously high dose and I ended up in the ICU with Lithium poisoning. I had to go through 14 Hours of dialysis. Followed by days of hallucinations because of withdraws. And I don't even want to speak of some of the other side effects. Suffice it to say, I don't take it anymore. Which is too bad, because it worked well for keeping my bipolar disorder in check.

  • My dad took Lithium for almost 20 yrs...no problems. Until His Kidneys failed and had to have 6 dialysis treatments. Seroquel Didn't work...now he's on Zyprexa. same story with my younger brother and lithium. Dad had a Nervous breakdown (15 or 16th) and they say He's stable Now...Yea Right. After being taken off Lithium..What Will Work?

    God Bless

  • Thanks again! After researching this interesting material use in treating Bipolar disorder, I thought it would make a fun and informative video about Lithium. Thanks for the positive comment!

  • I wanted to learn more about lithium, this was entertaining with the oddly "ironic" background music. I enjoyed this!

  • The best!

  • Thank you, finally somone out likes my sense of humor!

  • Haha! I love it. It had some very interesting information, and was very entertaining. This is my favorite Bipolarhelp video.

"People once used Lithium Chloride as Table Salt.... But then they died, so they stopped doing that". Halarious.
