  • I love all three performances and Rachel is great, but... did you everyone miss what's going on when Margaret starts to sing????? She's out of this world: total clean performance by far better than Rachel's in my opinion. She's the real deal!

  • 2:05 to 2:016.... out of this world.

  • Is Rachel Fury the third singer?

Another question, where do I get exactly THIS version???

    Greetings from Amsterdam

  • Rachel Fury is the first, then Durga McBroom and last Margret Taylor... i think is better than Rachel... ! DELICATE SOUND OF THUNDER- Nassau Coliseum ,Long island New York 1989

  • @ddevis66

Thank you so much, I have been replaying the third singer's part for months now. Chills and goosebumps all over :)

See if I can find more material from Margret Taylor.... :)

  • @ddevis66 Been looking all this time, not found. At least 25.000 of the 69.656 times this video was watched, it was I :)

  • @TempusFugit000 3rd singer is Margret Taylor, or Machan Taylor.

  • Along with Claire Torry, THIS (from "delicate sound of thunder" - NOT "Pulse") is the BEST - Rachel is beautiful, and her voice is SPOT ON... The other 2 .... myah ...

  • WOW

  • Brrrrividi!

  • effettivamente e' la versione live piu' bella.

  • favolosa

  • troppo bello favolosa a dir poco!!!

  • The third singer is Margaret Taylor. Singer No.2 is Durga McBroom.

  • The first part is undoubtedly the most difficult and Rachel has a great responsibility and carries out very good (starting as cold on a similar live piece is deadly)!

In this voice-solo she had little support from Hammond organ that I believe should have been much higher (hear original) and possibly placed near Rachel to make her feel less "alone". Strange that the technicians that Floyd did not have noticed ...

  • Who is the third singer?? In my opinion she is the best!!!!

  • WHAT?? Crying dog? You mean yourself then right?? I have followed Floyd for 30 yrs now and I have heard every version... Even the Original does not compare to these 3 very talented ladies! YOUR AN Idiot unless I have misunderstood you!

  • what I love most about this song...is it is so simple, and yet tells so much at the same time.

It's one of those pieces you can appreciate and relax to, and yet it really opens your eyes to what really matters, without saying a word.

  • Music is not for the eyes..nor is it simply simply to tickle your ears. "shitty" is a mindstate of those with zero talent that can't comprehend the talent and dedication it took from ANY performer that followed in the footsteps of Clare and she thought she had failed the group. There are a great many artists and performers that fail to meet what I appreciate in music but I do appreciate their ability to follow their dreams and efforts despite the naysayers in their lives

  • The comeback tour of '87 was by far the best tour they ever had.

They really put on some shows and pleased their fans like never before.

I miss those days. We were not a totalitarian police state at that point. But I guess the plan was in the works all along.

  • Shitty choice of vocalists this time around. Best vocalists are Clare Torry and Bianca.

  • this vid almost made me cry

  • 'O FRIDDO 'NCUOLL!!!! CHAPEAU!!!!!

  • the cover from "alltheworldforme" is respectable as well, checkm it out.

  • For the best cover see watch?v=InOpOHfSt40

  • Clare Torry ? è lei?

  • no...

  • margaret machun sasaki taylor. BY FAR, THE WIDEST RANGE and best voice

  • ONLY PRECIOUS HISTORY MADE.

  • original was Clare Torre (the best)

  • This is my favourite version-never get bored of listening to it. Always feel very moved... (promised family not to sing along to it)

  • MAN... TOTALLY AMAZING.....

  • UNFREAKINGBELIEVABLE!!!

    Another vote for the BEST.

Anyone know all of their names (in sequence?)

  • Rachel Fury, Durga McBroom and Margaret Taylor.

  • The BEST I ever heard......

  • anybody know what happened to racheal or where i can find more info on her?

  • dont bother. I saw her recently and father time was not to good to her.

  • who you saw recently? Rachel?

  • yes. shes aged and not in a good way.

  • oh my god...where you saw her?

  • I'm not afraid of dyin', anytime will do but I don't mind...why should I be 'fraid of dyin'? there's no reason for it....(I never said I was afraid of dyin')

  • incredible.

  • I'm still in love with Rachel...

  • Which Pink Floyd-fan i'sn't? ;)

Saw her three times live on stage....

  • poeta!

  • BEST VERSION.

  • I agree, is stunning... I keep pushing replay

  • This one gives me shivers. It's pure masterpiece, really. And yeah, hearing this before I die would be the greatest honor.

  • AMAZING

  • No words...

  • this is the song i want to listen to before i die

  • yeah me too ;-(

  • D i o, q u a n t o S p l e n d o re ! ! !

    -_-)

  • love this song, peace and love for all

  • THE BEST EVER!!!!!!!

  • da brivido onnipotenza della musica

  • Beyond amazing!

  • Rachel Fury is hot in this video!

  • Margret Taylor has a pact with devil. Only explanation I get.

  • A very good rendition. Amazing.

Margaret vocals are ridiculous. I didn't know a human voice could do that.

  • Best performance of this song. EVER.

  • Just learned that this song has three movements. death, just after death, then the wonder of what is next. 1, 2, and 3.

    Hence, Rachel, Durga, then Margret.

    each singing one movement.

Clare Torry did it BEST by herself in the studio,

    but... Rachel Fury Rocks!!!

  • last singer was amazing

  • clare is unsuperable

  • This has got to be by far my favorite performance

    of this song.

  • Man I wish I grew up in this time, those girls can really sing. A lot of the music made now isn't even music it's just made in the studio which is a shame.

  • Gorgeous!

    Where is the concert?

  • Where is this concert?

    Damo

    East London

    England

  • Vocals performance ....*****

  • One of the purist songs ever done. I forgot how Great it was. Saw them 5 x's. Sends shivers down my spine today. 1976 (77?) saw them do this at The Garden in NYC. What a show. Some may dis Pink Floyd but no one will ever do what they did and yes they are in the R&R HOF.

  • Check out this song done by the cover band YBR it is perfect and so are all the other tunes they do they will blow you away!!!!

  • I agree strongly... This song is amazing and what a performance!! The best of this song as far as I know..*****

  • women love them

  • the first singer just rips me apart !

    Who is she,Whats her name??

  • Her name is Rachel Fury . The very best performance ever!

  • You r very lucky, love this song with a passion never seen em,wish I had

  • For me too, incredible!!! Very good!

  • Seen this version in BC place in the 80's(loved it then and still love it now)

  • Best version after CD version in my opinion

  • i like the first singer because she isn't perfect. She is the same that performed in Venice in 1989 if i'm not wrong and i didn't like her there. But this time she does the job, probably with more imperfections if compared to the third singer. But i love the pain she makes me feel,

  • yes . i think also that this song have to be sung with expression , but the third singer has expression and she is very good.

  • Rachel Fury is an incredible angel of the music. How can a human have that voice??

  • I don't know but only Rachel Fury has :)

  • how can we say that the first singer is the best one if she sings like a chicken...at contrary i think surely that the third one have something to be envied from everybody. Very beautiful technical.

  • Totally agree! I was lucky enough to see Pink Floyd live in Sydney in 1988 and for one of the performances the girls absolutely nailed this song. Margaret Taylor (3rd singer) was even better than here. Maybe it was because it was live. I don't know, but I was shivering after listening to it!

  • as soon as i recover myself...i write anything...for now i am speechless...

  • You can see she was nearly in tears at the end of her part; very emotionally moved and it moved me. I cried the first several times I saw this; best version and yes..I love her!

  • They sing about the meaning of life, love, and power of human being.

  • ... and even rick is dead, this sound is a part of his soul, and i can stop crying every single time i listen to this masterpiece of art.

  • Rachel Fury suuuuuuuuuuuuuure is! I have been a BIG Floyd fan for over 15 years now, and this song right here is the best I have ever heard, live. (it smashes Pulses GGITS version) Why, you ask? Simple, Rachel Fury, end of story. Her voice in this song is superb range, highs and lows. Each pitch captured beautifully, as she is. So, RF makes this song, as simple as that...

  • Rachel is an angel.

  • This is the best version of this song! None better.

  • Thank you Richard Wright.

    Thank you Clare Torry.

Thank you Rachel, Durga & Margret.

    I love you all.

    God bless you.

  • man did anyone else see the pain in her eyes when she was singing?

  • Rachel Fury has got such an amazingly powerful voice, and very precise too! I wish she stayed longer :(

  • sorry but the last lady blew them all away with her range.

  • Rachel, you are my siren and I am sailing to the depths of the abysmal cosmos, maddened of love because of your voice...

Thank you Pink Floyd. Thank you Richard.

    Jorge-Argentina

  • Fantastic ...DURGA

  • No, Rachel. Forget them all. Marry me and together we'll make it good in the greatest gig on earth.

  • She is really amazing...amazing...

  • Whos the original singer in this tune?

  • clare torry

  • great original singer, magnific, the first voice I listened to when I was a child.

  • think this is from delicate sound of thunder , grand performance

  • RACHEL, MARRY ME!!!!! Why did she left? She was so perfect.

  • Nassau (Bahamas) for the main footage location and sound recording. Versailles Castle (France) for the outdoor footage.

  • Rachel? Superb, as usual. Anyone know where was filmed?

  • nassau coliseum, long island. new york 1988 the best performance of this song, clare torry was about 15 years before this version

  • IM IN LOVE WITH RACHEL! someone please tell me how to get info on her or how to get hold of her? thanks so much in advanced really really appreciate it.

  • You are in love with an unreal, fantastic being. She is not from this world. I am sorry but you have to know this... She is a sirene. Be careful. If you find her she will take you to the depths of her heart ... and then you will lose your mind...

    Jorge-Argentina

  • the only info we know about her is that from May 1995 she had given up singing and involved herself in the animal rights movements...

  • madonna che fotografiaaaaaaaaa

  • o my god...

  • First lady singer not a patch on the AMAZING! Hayley from (Think Floyd)and she plays a wicked Sax in "money" !!

  • All three are amazing, would love to know their names.

  • the first is Rachel Fury.

  • I prefer Sam Brown's interpretation!

  • I always thought the title of this tune just wasn't appropriate. Why didn't they call it The Great Orgasm?

  • Listened 24 times.

  • I do not get tired of listening to it. I think that I won you.

  • I WANT TO MARRY HER, IF DAVID GILMOUR AGREES OF COURSE...hehe

  • not better than the original but awesome performance from Rchel Fury... plus she was gorgeous sad there's not a lot video about her where you can see her big green eyes lol

  • i wonder how she sounds... in bed.

  • Rachel Fury is the best singer ever!!! I love her!
