Just bought one of these fine rifles for use with my 11 year old daughter. She picked wood stock over black...and called it, "the sweetest gun, daddy." Teaching responsible citizenship at a good age here in Ohio.
I really do appreciate the videos you guys put out.
thanks for the warnings, pussies and cry babies. Another way to make sure the gun is not dangerous it to make sure it is unloaded. Then you would have QUITE a hard time accidentally shooting yourself or camera man.
Not do be one of those rude people but you were not very safe between :43 and :46.... You had the 10/22 pointing at the camera mans direction!!!! You can never be to safe with firearms (or ANYTHING that shoots dangerous things)
This is Jeff's little brother Boge, and I was the cameraman. At no time did the rifle point at me. Maybe he got a little too close for your comfort, but not for mine. If the rifle had gone off between :43 and :46, the bullet would have missed me by a foot.
You don't see kimber making guns out of plastic. I picked up one of the "stainless" the other day to replace my 10/22 that was stolen about 10 years ago and was pretty disappointed in the fit and finish. The barrel was painted grey. Barrel band and trigger assembly are all plastic. Burrs on everything. On the plus side though the new one shoots straight as a laser beam. It was easily keeping pace with my cz 452,with rem gb. Shells @125 If you cant find a good used metal one I would get it.
Seeing this video makes me feel good about having a new 10/22 with the polymer trigger guard, allot of the old timers usually think of the polymer stuff as crap and junk, they need to see this video!

wtf how come you didnt show what happened to the polymer at 4ft, it looked like it broke. spend more time on the guns instead of pictures and music, and you WILL have a greater abundance of viewers, and MAYBE someone might just check out your site.
Then why not show what happened at 5 feet, then 6 feet? It is a short video, meant as an overview of the complete review. For details, go read the review. We have plenty of viewers. We have more readers than any paper gun magazine, with the exception of the American Rifleman, which is sent out to 4 million NRA members. If you do not want to go read the review, or cannot, perhaps you could have your mama read it to you. If you want all the possible details in a video, we are not your source.
The Ruger 10/22 right now is only sell at Big 5 Sporting Goods for $245,99 Walnut Stock and the Polymoer Stock Did I spell that right? is $299.99. I am geting the Walnut Stock because to me notthing better the Walnut.
I liked my old Marlin M60. I've heard figures that the Marlin 60 and 70 were more popular than the Ruger. I saw a nice Mossberg 702 the other day, $70 for a new rifle. That's really what cheap .22s are all about.
Frankly, now when I want cheap plinking, I'll grab a Mosin and get some fire and recoil with it, for about the same price.
I have had many 22 rifles But by far my favorite is the Ruger 10/22 carbine. Its great for Small game hunting and Target Practice/back yard Pliking ( Every gun owner should have a 10/22 in there collection
Just picked this up yesterday at the gun show

@Gunblastdotcom actually he is correct it should not even be in that direction

@jn98guy Youre an idiot....the best safety is your finger off the trigger and Jeff had his finger nowhere near it.

The music is awesome. It's the only music that truly is American made. Go back to France you Commie

Decent videos, you just need to lose the first 20 seconds of "Deliverance" music in each one. Get to the point. Just real advice.

We have to tag our videos for copyright purposes. I would prefer ZZ Top music myself, but the intro music is Boge's call. He produces the videos.
Jeff
We don't have ZZ Top's permission!
Boge

Well Sir, I like your videos, and I'll continue to watch more. Tell Boge to shorten it up a bit, a little more meat, a little less potatoes.
Thanks for the reply.

How well does the polymer do in cold temperature impact versus aluminum. Polymers are more vulnerable at cold temperatures compared to metals.

I have seen no data on that, and have not tested it myself.
