A look that, to me, said, "I don't wanna be like this, but I have to so I can survive." For Randy, coldness became a necessity. For Marlo, it's too ingrained in his personality for him to change it. Marlo himself admits that he can't change right before Prop Joe is killed.

They love the thrill of getting away with murder, as does Marlo. Randy is clearly frustrated and resentful, and seeing Bunk brought up all of that pain again. I think he would rather have pushed Bunk, Carver, or Herc down the stairs because he's that angry at the police, specifically, and he took it out on the kid.
From What ive seen...it seemed to me that most of the younger characters showed signs of most of the older charcters....
