He somehow manages to miss the point completely grebo (like baggy and madchester) were pop/rock bands who blended pop and punk with house rythoms tapping into the rave culture of the day. Thats why all the songs sound "samey"
I'm going to have to totally disagree with his opinion on Are You Normal?. It's just as good as God Fodder. And Brainbloodvolume is also good. Fuck it...all their albums are fucking amazing!
Ned was the best! Produced bubble gum group!? That's the label Nirvana should of had put on them. Ned was true grunge/garage sound and their concerts were fun, if you were old enough to go and not a a curfue! Are you normal was good too.
Ned's is actually back together. And the follow up to God Fodder, Are You Normal, is not bad. It is actually one step up from God Fodder. I would never classify them as bubble gum (?). Anyone that can't hear the aggression in their music is seriously not all there. Ned's is all over the place, which is why it is so amazing. So many genres coming together at once. Nobody sounds like Ned's. Sure, there are comparisons, but Ned's stands on their own.
I LOVE THIS! I have never seen anyone give a review of this cd. This is great. I love this CD it came out my Sophomore year in HS and have seen them twice. I know all the lyrics too. You remind me of me.
That is an enormously large chin! You should get Henry a DogBook account - it's facebook, for dogs! I'm sure my dog would would love to online chat with your dog.
Yay! You know what I love about these video reviews? They're more about you - Mark Prindle- than about the records you review. Which is just as well, because let's be honest: NAD suck, and MP (Mark Prindle!) rules. Love the lip syncing and the singing along. Love Henry. Hate Ned's Atomic Dustbin. More please!
Neds next album after God Fodder was a top album in my humble opinion, the one after that was a bit pants though, that t-shirt with the swear word, well my mate has one of those, when we were kids a police car pulled up and made him turn it inside out....
Saw Neds, full line up in Wolverhampton, awsome gig
