They were beautiful young women, many from good famlies. Only their minds were "messed up" by Manson, the 60's "hippie" ethos and the whole "Summer of Love" thing. Linda Kasabian (turned State's evidence and was not prosecuted) was especially beautiful as was Leslie Van Houton (La Bianca murders) and, though not involved in the Manson murders, Lynette Fromme has an extraordinary, haunting face. They are all old women now, with Atkins dead. Sad, but if your weren't there you won't understand it.

I think Goode is in West Virginia. She is forbidden to come to California as a condition of her release from prison. She said in one of her last interviews that she is not in touch with old Chucky. When asked why, she said "its not necessary". But you could hear the HURT in her voice. I think Chucky doesn't want any communication with her. Chucky and Squeaky still communicate through letters I heard.

During a visit to the Salton Sea, we couldn't help to notice 5 "Salton Sea Cigars" floating in the water, such as it is. Charlie's girls were floating around trying to clean up the "Sea" environment. All were knifing the water especially Susan, who commented that she was looking for her X (Lai$ure)she must still love him, Good was trying to ignite the water perhaps she thought it was L.A.? Charlie was smoking one of the "cigars" and repeating a "mantra" while fondling a wet dune buggy part.

Yes, I'm also really fascinated by what drove the girls (particularly Susan Atkins) to commit the murders, and whether or not it was due to some inborn psychological imbalance or merely Charlie's influence. I personally think almost anyone could have fallen victim to the situation and I disagree that only a certain type of person is capable of murder. I also love Sharon Tate.
