Marion will always be home for me even though I loathe the thought of living there again. I have a lot of great memories that being there always brings back.

oh man, the Dip Dog Stand is the BEST! I always have one in town but the best place to eat in Marion is CJ's pizza. They have the most amazing subs and when I get off the plane, its the first place I go !

you cant diss on all people in chilhowie they are some nice people here but most of them are pricks and this town is small aint nothing to do here i think this place deserves more things but the mayor or nobody want do nothing so yea and have a good ride

You can throw a rock at Chilhowie from there but man, the place is soooooo depressing. You can buy a house cheap there ...but the question is..."why would you??".

mr. helms was my principal for years and he fishes and gradens with my father. he certainly is a nice person through and through. i'll make sure he sees this video, i'm sure he'll love it.

Yes, tell him he is one of the most memorable people on this trip, and if it weren't for having to press on in winter, I would have liked to have visited him again. He was very committed to making people feel welcome. And we are just passing through, we never had a Mayor welcome us before.

Mr. David Helms was my teacher and principal at Marion Elementary for several years. We used to plant trees for special dates. You are correct, he was an excellent Principal and teacher. We need more people like him.

Thank you for the nice comments about my town. I am very proud of our Mayor Helms for making you feel welcome as I am sure the other Towns folks would have to. Mr. Helms was my principal in school 36 yrs. ago and he has not changed. I sorry for your bad reception in Chilhowie, there are good, careing people who live there but like you said it just takes 1 bad apple.
