'till his voice just gave out at the end of the summer, in Denver, and he had to walk off the stage. He's had medical attention to it, and should sound much better if they come out this year
@Padarack1 yer a friend told me when they went to download, that he was expecting him to be like what he was in 2004 but was incredibly dissapointed when he actually saw them, i mean watching this year and last years footage really out off seeing them anytime soon, but seeing the info youve put out, i think i will definetly cut him some slack for sure

I was pretty let down by the crowd - we stood right by the central barrier, halfway between the stage and the sound desk and there was room to dance. Now while this was quite nice, back in the day there's no way you would have got that close without things getting sweaty, and it really was lacking in atmosphere for WS and DL.
As for Coverdale, his voice was pretty shot the last time I saw them at Donington 90 - search for 'Fool For Your Loving' from that gig - he's sharp all the way through!
Maybe not as hard as they did in '91 with Vai, but that was another century. This is a man who replaced Gillan in Deep purple, celebrating 25 years since their last 'classic' snake album.
Dave seemed to be enjoying himself and not sulking at the support slot like manson did the day before.

This has got to be one of the WORST live performances I have EVER seen by any band in any style. This sounds like a cheap garage band trying to imitate Whitesnake. Sorry guys but this is straight up trash and there's no way I would've stayed and listened to this, I would've walked out. I hope this was a free outdoor concert. I do credit some of it to personnel changes and age but DAMN David, at least fake like you like singing this song.

also 70-80,000 people stayed to listen to this, weather u think its trash or not. It was not a free concert (anything but) and the day Whitesnake played was the most popular day of the whole weekend! at the time the performance was amazing and admittedly this vid does not do it justice

Lame singing. Seriously, Cov should give it up, he has totally lost it. This is not the same person that sang on Burn and Stormbringer. It's shockingly bad.
So gutted I had to miss this; I could only get a day ticket for the Saturday because I had an exam on the Monday :( I saw Whitesnake with Def Leppard on tour however, and they were incredible. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't do webcast though.
I was there all day at the main stage and had an awesome time: all the bands I saw were awesome apart from Black Stone Cherry who wern't that good tbh. Deffo goin next year. For me the best live track was 'When the Wind Blows' which sounds amazing: even better than the album version. Def Leppard were the highlight though, they were amazing. Not sure what the dude was talking about with his 'poor turnout' comment on Sun. The crowd was absolutley massive when Lep was on.
Had Whitesnake still had the sonwriting skills of John Sykes, sacked after the 1987 album, this band would never have left the rock scene. It took two guitarists to replace him.

Yeah i have to admit i'd heard about 4 songs by Whitesnake and thought they weren't that good, however watching them live changed my opinion completely. His voice was a bit shot in places but most of the time he was great and the band themselves were on top form. Completely surprised at how good they were that night and i do feel bad for them that more people didn't show to watch them, they went to see Trivium *frown*. One of my highlights of the weekend definitely! And the guitarists.... =O
It's just anyone can go and see Trivium, anytime! they will still be here in 20 years (probably) You don't know how long Whitesnake have left, they are legends and deserve support through what could be their final years. I mean i've seen Trivium before and they were great but i thought i'd see a legendary British metal band before they decide to split and they put on a great show.

So gutted I had to miss this; I could only get a day ticket for the Saturday because I had an exam on the Monday :( I saw Whitesnake with Def Leppard on tour however, and they were incredible. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't do webcast though.

I was there all day at the main stage and had an awesome time: all the bands I saw were awesome apart from Black Stone Cherry who wern't that good tbh. Deffo goin next year. For me the best live track was 'When the Wind Blows' which sounds amazing: even better than the album version. Def Leppard were the highlight though, they were amazing. Not sure what the dude was talking about with his 'poor turnout' comment on Sun. The crowd was absolutley massive when Lep was on.

Had Whitesnake still had the sonwriting skills of John Sykes, sacked after the 1987 album, this band would never have left the rock scene. It took two guitarists to replace him.

See now i tried to watch as many bands as possible.. watched tghe start of Whitesnake.. then went and saw a bit of 69 eyes.. then caught Papa Roach and Trivium then watched Def lepard close Download... Its just an easy way to see bands. Whitesnake are pretty good though.. i really didnt want to miss them

Yeah i have to admit i'd heard about 4 songs by Whitesnake and thought they weren't that good, however watching them live changed my opinion completely. His voice was a bit shot in places but most of the time he was great and the band themselves were on top form. Completely surprised at how good they were that night and i do feel bad for them that more people didn't show to watch them, they went to see Trivium *frown*. One of my highlights of the weekend definitely! And the guitarists.... =O

It's just anyone can go and see Trivium, anytime! they will still be here in 20 years (probably) You don't know how long Whitesnake have left, they are legends and deserve support through what could be their final years. I mean i've seen Trivium before and they were great but i thought i'd see a legendary British metal band before they decide to split and they put on a great show.

IT makes me proud as HELL..to see DAVID COVERDALE still OWNING that stage..he wipes it with most of today wannabee musicians..in one swipe..nearly 58 he has more stamina and talent then any of these guys..
