@WhoBeTrollin thanks. the band director recently asked if i wanted to be a sousa for the next marching season and i agreed. i hope i can live up to that statement. :)
Very good show. I love the scenery. I espicaly like the way your director chose formation that fit the band. The sound quality was very good too. Usualy these small bands don't sound that good.
Go into the archives and even ask Mr. G (Dr. G for you younger members) about the glory era that was 1996-2000. I lived it and I doubt it had been repeated. ~ Liliana Aragon, Trumpet, Class of 2000
@LHerdez95 i dont usally comment on comments this old but i played tuba for this show and so i can say, as for the marching complexity... your talking about a band whos director was going through a break up, stomache ulcers, and was tired of working at the same school for 20 years dealing with budget cuts that only allwoed us to practice 2 hours a day. most of our instruments were held together with tape. it was better to have a simple show thats done well than complex done wrong.
When I saw the size of y'alls band (yeah i'm from texas) I thought y'all were going to sound horrible. Well surprise surprise! y'all sounded like little ^j^ ^j^ (angels). how many people are in that band, including colorguard?
uhhh around 70. yea. we may not have the biggest band but our sound makes up for the size. 9 colorgaurds too. we arent really that great at color guard but theyre there for the heck of it.
yea. we didnt like how fast atmadja was so we slowed it down. and incantations was actually a little rushed bcuz our drum major at the time was on speed like all the time so it was really fast. but i still like it. did you guys do the vocals? i admit the ending seems rushed but ehh.... we got superior this year.
in vegas everything was so colorful and the scenery was spectacular, at least while we were driving there. i cant really say much for vegas bcuz it was cool but really corrupt. like there was a newspaper stand on the corner outside of our hotel that.. well... it didnt give out newspapers if you know what i mean, and someone in the band said that they saw a hooker standing on the corner of the street by our hotel....yikes!
It was the Las Vegas invitational one. this year im prez so if you go look out for Colton High School Marching band. I think im going to be one of the ppl going down to accept awards. I hope we do good this year.
ummm...we played that second movement for our concert season..whats up with that? yall really dont move either...yall just run to your spots. good sound tho
well our band director likes to take a few concert pieces and mix them with marching pieces. also for some reason he feels that we should be able to get to the other side of the football field in only 16 beats so thats why it looks like we are running. its cuz we are. :P we plaeyed the second piece in our concert season too. cool.
because our band director is sort of a butt. i know it sounded cool as an intro, with a call and a response by other trumpets but i really dont know why he didnt add it.... oh, well, we got superior this past year though.... need to put it on youtube..
Wow my school is another CHS Yellowjackets, and i actually thought it was a video of us
