Nice counterpoint. The reason that Obama and Biden voted for the bridge is the same reason they vote to allocate federal spending to many states who request money to build roads, highways or bridges. This is not something that backfires on them, because they never flailed on the issue and changed positions. Federal spending goes to far more wasteful things than seldom used bridges, with or without the vote of all these candidates.
