yeah i watched it live on bbc tv right then i was 16 yrs old...he broke off of it & did a Cream tribute (Sunshine) much to the chagrin of the BEEB! they didnt take kindly to artistic creativity being applied to their schedule.

He was a beautiful talent loved by every guitar player on the planet. when it comes to guitar heroes, he was the real thing.
