Smallville Season 7 Buildup and Cop Out of Season 8

there could still be a second part to this video with zod coming out of the orb in the season finale :D

i think the point was: destroy the fortress and take away clarks powers when zod returns from the orb and then kill clark and take over the world.

but since the fortress was restored before zod was released, this could turn into the zod+tess+injustice league vs clark+justice league throw down

hmmm this is probably what season 9 would be based on :D there you go!

thats a good question.. wasnt he sent to the phantom zone by clark.. maybe the orb is a gateway of somekind :\ old story line new way to portray it!! boring! i seriously hope they have a good twist to it!!! though i am very disappointed with tess's character.. i loved what they were doing with her character in plastique .. unfortunately the moment she found out about lex it all went downhill!! what a bummer!

ok the orb thing has been explained in recent episodes.

jor el put clones of zod and the others into the orb before they turned evil and made sure they'd have no powers when they resurrected.

later he also programed it to remove clark's powers if he became a threat to mankind.

the only thing i still don't understand is why the orb couldn't release zod and the others until after doomsday was defeated.

perhaps because they would all be powerless and wont be able to defeat doomsday.. one threat at a time :D

since doomsday was supposed to destroy all of humanity if he wasn't defeated, that means the kandorians would also have been killed.

so the orb was programed to release them only after the threat of doomsday was removed

but since Jor El didn't know anything about doomsday arriving to earth with kal el, i wonder who reprogramed the orb after it was sent to earth?

Well I think we can blame Gough and Millar for half assing EVERTYTHING after season 5, and when they got lucky with season 6... had they left after season 6 Lex and Lionel would have gotten a more appropriate story to send them off of Smallville. Lionel's death WAS epic though.

Do you honestly believe that such a huge story line ended there? I am afraid that your video was premature. Clark is constantly wrong about what Jor-El's plans are.

Even if that is where the story ends have you thought about the fact that if the fortress were to never return he could never get his training is doomed to die at the hands of Doomsday? There could be a billion different directions that this storyline could still go in.

Agreed if that's where it ends, that is very stupid though.

i really hope you're right and they do resolve that buildup in a satisfying way.

maybe when lex returns he will indeed have the ability to control clark. that's the only way i would forgive this series for this copout.

we know that the crystal that created the fortress still exists so by the end of the seasons it will get rebuilt

Omg that was hilarious!!!! That really was a cop out to all that season 7 built up to,I mean how is loosing your powers again being controlled! When that has already happend at least 10 time to you already!
