Omg god yes, why is everyone talking about the saddest movieending in the world, it makes me sad. - the thing he says about the fake blood not turning brown after half an hour, and then in the end he sees he's browman's blood has turned brown even tho he made him believe it was another trick, and he realizes he's dead! D: arghghghargh ARGRHRGHGRHGRHH! why such sad endings?!...well at least he gets the bitch :D

@SuperWitch90 I think the end is the best part of the movie. It not only shows the true dedication that Stephen had to Bloom being happy, but it reinforced the entire idea of keeping hope and staying happy despite hardship.

Stephen wanted a con to be so good it was "real" (The Perfect Con.). And that's what he got. Yeah, he died but you can't feel sorry.

@ItsFizikal Because the entire point of the ending was to stay happy and optimistic despite hardship. Stephen died to ensure Bloom's happiness, Bloom learned to understand that (with help from Penolope, the primary force of optimism in the movie) and so he ended up being happy, despite the fact that his brother had died. It's a beautiful message.

The soundtrack of the movie is so beautifully heartbreaking. I honestly almost cried when I first heard Penelope's theme and I didn't know why. I just felt like a rush of personal and contradictory emotions. The perfect con also has the same impact on me. Nathan Jackson should have been nominated for an oscar; AMAZING MUSIC!!!

I watched this movie so many times its kind of sad but the music gets me everytime, sends chills down my spine!

Theres something about every scene which just seems sort of magical, the way its done like a huge play but with amazing cinematography is awesome.And the detail! I swear I notice something new every time I watch it.

Been meaning to watch Brick as well, Anybody know if it has sort of the same feel? I heard its a bit darker.

It's definitely different....not necessarily darker. The Dialogue in it is incredible! Much lower budget, but still one of the best movies I've ever seen! (Same Composer as well).

brick is darker, and definitely different than the brother's bloom but it's still really good! rian johnson is really good with mystery and it holds up in brick too! so does the attention to detail and the great lines

@Rainbowjellyishh Nathan Johnson, he also did the music for Brick which is quite similer though it doesn't have quite as bigger sound as this soundtrack, still though, its good. Brick is Ryan Johnsons (the director) debut film which I'm also in love with.

@darkknight072 Piano, orchestral strings (violin, cello, etc.), briefly trumpet and flute, an electric guitar and electric organ pick up around 3:15, clarinet picks up at 3:40, joined by a drum set at 3:48, what sounds to be a harmonica at 4:56, an electric bass guitar. That's the best I can give you by ear, mate.
