It takes more thought and mind-games than tech skill to be pro at Brawl.

In Melee, train up with Fox and his super-broken glitch-techs, and you're almost unstoppable against anyone who isn't playing as another god-tier.

Brawl takes away the "Practice+high tier+hard-to-learn but cheap techs=easy win" stuff that Melee had.

Meta is a broken tier that rarely loses, when a Pro is playing as him.

But so were most of Melee's top tiers, when their long combo strings were mastered.

Melee is for traditional fighter fans since it still has fast combos with lots of hit stun to make it easy to carry them through with practice.

Brawl is for pure mind-game enthusiasts, excluding Meta-spammers, with little hit stun and more play-style prediction.

"IMO", I do not like Melee. Too complicated for me. Then again, I never bothered to go back to learn it when I found out all the things you can do with it, I was well into Brawl by then. The graphics, "new engine" smoother frames and overall upgrades is what gets me.
