But if you're thinking of tinkering around with this some more, maybe changing some instruments would help. Maybe the melody?

Or maybe... those high-pitched effect parts sound kinda like squeaks... if you could bring them down an octave or two, or just change the instrument for that part altogether, it might sound better. ^-^

I used the noise removal tool after recording it. It allows you to remove certain sounds (such as fuzzy white noise) from the clip. Just select what part you want to remove, open the tool, and click 'get noise profile'. Then select the whole thing and go to the tool again and fiddle with the slider until you get what you want.
