What's funny is that even though Tony Gonzalez is a damn good TE, he isn't even top 2 all time in TEs..Ozzie Newsome, and Kellen Winslow Sr. are still at the top of that list, merely because Tony isn't the blocker Ozzie and KW Sr. were..And Dave Casper was arguably one of the best receivers, ever, and he was a TE..Tony will make the HOF, and rightfully so, but don't fall for the "I saw him yesterday, he must be the best ever" garbage..

Negative. Winslow has Braylon Edwards to take catches away. Winslow easily surpasses BOTH Tonys. Gonzales and Gates. Neither of them has Braylon who was right up there with T.O. and Randy Moss as the best in the game this year to take his touches. Plus he has better hands than any TE in the game

Gates has Tomlinson to take away his touches. The Chargers have a much better running game than the Browns so they throw the ball a lot less. Gonzo is the best of all time, but Gates is catching him quick. Winslow has a long way to go to catch them.

Jamal Lewis had about 100 yards less than Tomlinson and the Browns Receivers were far superior. I love Gates, I went to College with him, but he's really going to be taking a back seat to Winlow like he did this year and for many years to come. Winslow probably has best hands in all NFL plus he's a better blocker and runs better routes

Gates has more touchdowns in the last 4 years (13, 10, 9, 9) than Winslow does in his career (8). He also has incredible hands but unfortunately was forced to play injured almost the entire season. I don't think you can write him off so easily. It will be fun to see how each of these guys can do next season when both are healthy.

TDs are overrated. Braylon with 16 TDs and Jamal Lewis with 11 TDs doesn't leave much for Kellen. When you have a huge running back that can punch through the line and a 6'4" Wide receiver with crazy leaping ability, 5 TDs is pretty good for Winslow. And Winslow was playing injured all season. Chargers just don't have an option better than Gates at Receiver while the Browns do. The Cheifs are even worse. Gonzo is their best receiver as well. Its hard to argue. Just gotta watch I guess
