Lots of things in the movie wernt right either, his brother wasnt in it or mentioned, the real Dennis was not buried either, his mother donated his body to UCLA for medical research after his death. The dates of birth and death on the tombstone are also incorrect, he died on 4th October 1978 at the age of 16
