  • It is because he is from MI, he would loose his seat if he voted against it.

    But then that is why I call him a sellout.

    Please, Rep McCotter, please tell me where in the Constitution, that you swore to uphold, does it say the Federal Government can loan money to a private company?????

  • You are confused.. It's not a Bailout.. And he is not a Senator.. If what you wish for so badly is allowed good luck to all of us..

  • I guess I'm confused. McCotter opposed the bailout for the financial sector, but now supports the bailout for the automotive sector. He spoke with clear-headed conviction about the first bailout, but now it sounds like he's totally flipped his arguments for this one. Is he just capitulating to his constituency? Senator, it is good for the market when businesses are allowed to die. It is bad to leverage the American taxpayer in order to give the government greater power in the private markets.
