Hi vinkleman thanks for you wonderful comment .Agree, we are all bound together through music - in a nut shell, brothers, sisters, black, white, yellow. Was sorry could not find your comment on this page. Harold Melvin and the Blue is just one of many examples! Luv BB x
1.11 come on bard of boudoir you who oozed machimo from every pore, its your time start to sing.you cant hide from yourself,to sing this good old record again.
I WAS IN THE 4TH GRADE WHEN I HEARD IT ON THE RADIO...IT'S HARD TO BELIEVE THAT I WOULD REMEMBER AFTER ALL THESE YEARS... YOU NEVER FORGET SOMETHING THAT SOUNDS THAT GOOD......IT STAYS WITH YOU,
YOU MAY VAUGELY FORGET. BUT WHEN YOU HEAR IT AGAIN.. IT STRIKES YOU LIKE A PUNCH AND THEN YOU REMEMBER... I NEVER FORGOT..
There will have been many a love WON,while DANCING,to great tune,s like these, the DISCO era 80s,best time for me as mobile DJ,so many SOULFUL SOUND,S and BODIE,S filled many a DANCE FLOOR.
So hard not to boogie when this comes on. We had a few Harold Melvin tracks on the All niter scene and when the Funk/Disco period came in well it was their niche. Just a great band and good live.
50 and looking back in time again to find some classic music thank god you tube carry the soudtrack to my life 70 s and 80 s nothing can toutch these years for great songs
What a great concert this would have been to have attended. But what about the goofy lady at 0:39 who appears to have a cell phone in her right hand. Is she completely retarded? Can't people today simply enjoy an outing without a darn cell phone? I have one, but rarely take it out of the house unless I am driving and may need to call for break down assistance.
@vinkleman I'm a white guy, and if you think I don't think about going up on stage belting this out.....well, U betta go aks sumbody!....LOL, man they don't make it like diss no mo!
@vinkleman lol...I feel THAT WAY...And I really think if someone comes out with GROUPS/MUSIC like this they WOULD be RICH...But then again this WORLD HAS CHANGED for THE WORSE...(MUSIC INTEREST)
@vinkleman I like your commment about the Harold Melvin & the Blues Notes. To tell the truth for those white people that gave you a thumbs up, i hope they can give love to everyone, like every race should do. Bless you man.
@buntybunny That's the beauty of music buntybunny; for the 3 minutes and 37 seconds that it takes to listen to this song, we're all bound together, all touched by the beat, the rythm, the melody, the vocals. Black, white, brown, yellow....who cares? Everyone who listens is of a common mind, and it's music that did it. The warmongers should slap the vinyl version of The Beatles' "Rubber Soul" on a turntable and just chill. That should calm the idiots down.
Also to mattdaddyful,YOU need to get over it and do your research! You might just be surprized what you might find. I DID!! So I know you're not from Philly. Besides they're not really bad. Why should I go for (like Alexander O'Neal says) a FAKE!!!
They're just upholding the Philly Sound, they weren't really a PART of it,at least NOT these guys!!!
To mattdaddyful, first of all,Journey didn't replace the entire group. Second if you knew the circumstances in which these gentlemen came about it may help you to understand. They will ALWAYS be a tribute group (much like many other "tribute groups') If it wasn't for Paul Williams being an original member of the Temptations they would be just a tribute group. YOU need to check out Lloyd Parks (as in original member and only surviving member's group known as "The Original Blue Notes"!!
THESE GUYS NEED TO STOP PERPATRATING A FRAUD! But remember its "Harold Melvin's Blues Notes." That means in English a' TRIBUTE group, translation,NO ORIGINAL MEMBERS !
P>S> they do sound good untill you hear LLoyd Parks "the Oiriginal Blue Notes"

@sosmooth7 It Doesnt matter where Im From...I just ENJOY music...Sorry...This is a GREAT VERSION!!!
mattdaddyful 6 months ago
To mattdaddyful, first of all,Journey didn't replace the entire group. Second if you knew the circumstances in which these gentlemen came about it may help you to understand. They will ALWAYS be a tribute group (much like many other "tribute groups') If it wasn't for Paul Williams being an original member of the Temptations they would be just a tribute group. YOU need to check out Lloyd Parks (as in original member and only surviving member's group known as "The Original Blue Notes"!!
sosmooth7 6 months ago
THESE GUYS NEED TO STOP PERPATRATING A FRAUD! But remember its "Harold Melvin's Blues Notes." That means in English a' TRIBUTE group, translation,NO ORIGINAL MEMBERS !
P>S> they do sound good untill you hear LLoyd Parks "the Oiriginal Blue Notes"

Although the guys are carrying the Philadelphia Sound,I get very dissappointed when I hear them, because there is NOT one origninal member in this group. They are at best a TRIBUTE group. Besides,Lloyd Parks group is better!

one of the most difficult acts is to step in the footsteps of a legend..theo peoples was compared to the great levi stubbs, you cant ,judging donnel with teddy? you cant, cherish our life blood of yester-year and then cherish those whom were apart of the golden age of sounds and bravely stand up to give us live performances of a era unequalled since..this is superb and i thank you paw for the posting..R.I.P melvin and teddy, thanks for the classics.

If there was anyone to take Teddy's place now It's gotta be Donnie.
He is Awesome , Alas though, my soul belongs to Teddy for the old tunes .
