Rofl i played this AMAZING GAME when i was a kid i fuckin LOVED IT i still remember my dream about 3 gorgors chasing me best fuckin EVER i loved the mine launcher thing
As a child I once saw a videogame on some console where you need to solve puzzles in a dinosaur world and if things goes wrong a dinosaur went send to the future to rampage some cities.
You where helped by a young woman and a intelligent evolved dinosaur. Does anybody knows which game that could be? I though about Outcast, but I have my doubts.
One of the quintessential games made before its time. In other words, before technology could render it well. I simply could not make it past the graphics. I could have even tolerated the womanish way the main character runs, but those graphics...ughhhh. It was like looking through a greasy pair of goggles or something. I know a lot of people consider this game "amazing" and whatever else, but seriously, shouldn't "amazing" at least *look* good?
@scarabmango: Opinion noted. As an Outcast fan I'm inclined to disagree ;P
Except I agree with some points, like its made before it could be rendered well. So of course it is not high resolution originally, as it is for CPUs of over a decade ago. But now there exists up to, I believe 1280 by 1024 hack from Zenger, check out gog dot com.
Personally I actually think the graphics is beautiful, even with the somewhat low res (And I got Metro 2033).
@scarabmango It really depends what area of the game your looking at yes it looks lke your running on mountains composed of one shade of green but the creatures look amazing for its time along with the animation work.
@RickE326 I know a lot of work was put into this game, and I respect the opinion of its devoted cult fanbase; plenty of people had fun with this game, and more power to them. Good graphics won't make a game, but bad graphics can sure as hell *break* one, and that was my personal experience here. Plus, at the time I tried Outcast, I was playing some of the sharper 3d rpgs like Deus Ex and Gothic, which by comparison probably made the game look worse to me. To each his own, just not my cuppa.
I could totally do with a nice HD remake of this game. It was freaking awesome! *Looks at box art in bookcloset* One of the first games I bought, when I was young. Love the music and the world immersion for the player. Go check out good old games for that game for sure yeah!
I've never seen this game before, but the graphics are INCREDIBLE for 1999. I mean most things that old, are really really blocky and oddly shaped. But the folds on the clothing, the water, the monster, it's all fantastic.
Wow I didn't use that launcher thing that that guy dropped :O I mostly just shot him with the rapid fire pistol thing. Took like 500 or 600 shots and 10 mins :/
One of the best games ever! Grafics were amazing at this time and are still looking good, the soundtrack is beautiful, I love the humor and like someone said before this game was full of fresh ideas.
This was one of the first pc games i ever played and has always remained a favourite, looking at the graphics now it looks very dated, but when I played it I thought it was awesome. I really hope you make outcast 2 on xbox.
PLEAS tell me: WHERE can i find the portal into the forest world? searchd every inch ingame and every page of the walkthrough and still couldnt find it! :((((((

I am pretty sure its impossible to get the maximum score due to a couple of quests being removed before the game was finished. I might be wrong though.
@DrWhooooooooo Dude, I checked a guide for the bonus missions, and I'm pretty sure I did every single one of them except for getting the relic clean from the monster in the forest and selling it to the guy while it was dirty, but even then I got a percentage way too high for me to only have missed one single bonus mission.
@Spectrallink not sure I understand your question (btw what score did you get?). what do you mean by "what scene this might be?" - this gorgor "scene", or the one about cleaning up the relic? If the last, that is where the Achondar is, but I guess you know about that?
I dont think I have done all bonus missions nor do I know what they are (also been a long time sinceI played through it all now)
@DrWhooooooooo Oh, you're right, I just asked a question without talking about what I meant >.<. I heard that when you get 100% for bonus missions, a special cutscene plays after the broken daoka cutscene, not the one where all the characters are dancing, something completely different. I've also heard rumours that you get to do some extra bonus missions as well. This might just be a rumour, but there must be something for getting 100% for bonus.
Well, I found a way to not having to start all over again!! ^_^
I opened the OUTCAST.ini file in the main directory and changed the [Sharks] Damage_of_attack=50000.000000 into Damage_of_attack=00000.000000 so now I can swim between the island without receiving damage from the Sannegta :)
I'm so glad that this worked!! It actually made my day :)
GlovePIE can be complicated, but in this case it is really not. All I did in the script I posted before, was remapping the mousewheel scrolling up/down to another key. In that instance the keypad number 9 and 3. But you have to set keypad 9 and 3 to be next/prev weapon in Outcast settings too (I don't remember if that was the default).
Just start GlovePIE, copy/paste the 3-line script below, and minimize it. Then start Outcast, and off you go :)
That should ease things a little, with that glovepie you mentioned. Good job :) When I'm back home I'll look it up. To be honest, I haven't tried the Cyana boat guy thing yet :)
Thanks! I can't believe I haven't tried it before, it was really simple and I've known about GlovePie a while lol (Now I too have to teach those soldiers another lesson:p).
Anyway I didn't know about just pressing the 1-6-keys more times to switch modes (oops embarrasing lol), so thanks for the tip!. The glovepie script below just uses the last setting, so you still have to use the numbers to switch modes.
Ah ok, I think I'll start up the pc where I played Outcast and load my savegame and try it again, maybe the guy will do the same as in your game. Thanks for trying!
As for re-assigning the buttons, how did you do that?? I have tried it too before I started the game but maybe I overlooked something! I want to use the mousewheel to change weapons 'n stuff too!
In my opinion, there are enough save slots :) I've used 3 so far, but because of my last experience, I should've used more...
Actually I just remapped "next weapon" to the middle mousebutton (clickin on the wheel). I couldn't set the mousewheel to switch, so I can only switch to the next weapon, not previous or holster them.
Its in the startup screen - settings - configure control (last icon - the joystick..)
However as I write this, I remember another option: GlovePIE (google it!). You would have to write a script for it, but I think its possible to use the mousewheel then. I guess I have to try that now! :-)
There, now I've tried GlovePIE. Why didn't I try this before? lol. Anyway, the script is really simple:
-------------------------------
numpad9 = Mouse.WheelDown
numpad3 = Mouse.WheelUp
key.0= Mouse.MiddleButton
-------------------------------
Provided numpad9 = next weapon, numpad3 = previous and 0 (zero) is holster it. Just start up GlovePIE, put in script, run and minimize, start Outcast. Now mousewheel changes weapons, and middle mouse button holster it :-)
Yes I've searched the whole area there, including the Gamor island, before I went back to the boat guy. Still nothing works. I guess I'll start a new game then so I can teach those soldiers a new lesson :)
I only needed the white helidium from Motazaar to upgrade the Hawk Mk-8 from level 0 to 2. You can switch to secondary mode and back by pressing '4' which represents the weapon slot. You'll notice the numbers next to the selected weapon switch between 0 and 2, this is for all weapons!
Ah ok, I haven't tried that! Before I started to play I remapped keys to WSAD, and weapon change to middle mouse button.
I testet the Cyana conversation, and then went on to explore Oru's island, but when I got back and jumped in the boat, he started to row to Cyana. But I didn't save any games though.
To bad there are so few saveslots. But if you really want, you could save the savegames folder other places just in case(Last time I played on two computers and had to copy it between them)
I've got an annoying bug in Okasankaar. When I went to Oru's island with the boat guy, I jumped out of the boat and selected the Cyana conversation. So Cutter asked the boat guy if he could bring him back but instead of getting in the boat again, I went to Oru first and discovered the rest of the island. When I actually wanted to go back, the boat guy didn't do anything. The Cyana conversation was gone too and on top of that I overwrited all my savegames on that island. I'm stuck forever now! :(
Hm, strange. Is the boat guy still waiting for you at Oru's? If so maybe you just can jump in the boat, but I'm sure you tried that.. I guess you can't swim either because of the Sankaar.
I can't seem to get a 100-100 score at the end. I got 103% quests and 75% "bonus quests". I guess the boat-light mission don't register somehow? Also I got an extra helidium for Azirad to carve (the old boatlight) I wonder if that is related(but though boat light works)? Or I haven't found all the quests.
Yes, he is right there where he dropped me of at Oru's island, and I already tried him to move back to Cyana by jumping in the boat but it didn't work.
It's screwed because I already finished the whole Shamazaar, Motazaar and Talanzaar world, except of a few tiny quests.
Have you already got the helidium upgrade for the 4th weapon (I guess it is called the Hawk Mk-8)? I did that with the white helidium from Motazaar, but I wonder if you can also do it with the old boat light?
That sucks.. I don't know what you can do then, other than useless tips.. tried jumping over to the "gamor island" and back? Maybe the boat guy is talkable after that.. (useless tip..).
Yes, I too upgraded the Hawk-Mk-8 (gotta love the weapon names) with the white Helidium. I think I also upgraded it with the old boat light, and also, I'm unsure how to switch modes (secondary button dont seem to work?). But still Azirad have some purple helidium in his hands when I see him. Maybe its nothing.
The gorgor really isn't hard at all. Just use Orus gun or Hawk MK8. I prefer the latter since it temporarily paralyses the gorgor when it hits. Since its shots penetrate, aim for the neck (the hunter's secret - remember? :)). It should take about 15-20 level 0 Hawk MK8 hits to down it.
I'm pretty sure Oru mentioned it before going on the Gorgor hunt, he even said what this "big" secret was lol. But I guess its safe to say Kyuran knew it as well :-)
I hated the Gorgor, it took me ages to defeat that. Hated the other Dragon thing from the tree area too. But absolutely loved the game. I have to say that bug never happened with me lol!
That thing used to scare the shit out of me! But to my defence I was about 8-9 years old when playing this? HAHAHAHAHA! Still a game of my heart though, takes me back so far and listening to that soundtrack, reminds me of the adrenaline it used to give me lol
aaah, outcast.. still one of my all time favourite games. outstanding graphics, story, action, everything! and the gorgor bit was an especially fun one :D
You can actually blow it for completing a mission. Someone (sorry is long ago) in the temple is afraid of it and wishes that someone (YOU!) takes care of the (fake) monster. :)
What a graphics!!! for being 1999 it was an austanding and a fantastic game, its a crying shame that it was a commercial failure, because it was a great game.
brilliant...excellent. This game was so far ahead of its time. Doing things that other games are only now doing. The whole wide open world approach, the excellent music, the smoothed voxels!
And the slightly goofy Cutter Slade character. AWESOME. I wish Appeal was still around and someone was making outcast 2. What ever happened to Yves Grolet??
Slightly goofy? :p The humour was really great, albeit a bit.. goofy at times, yes! :-) But it works!
Awsome game indeed!
I just finished Mass Effect, and although a different game really, and even if it does have way better graphics (of course), I would say Outcast is way better in so many respects!
Not the least concerning the AI! And..well, many many things. The ones you mention.
Yes sadly this game is VERY underrated. Makes me sad.
I L-O-V-E-D this game.
This was the first game where I was able to really get into the story. I really felt for those people I had to save. This game was what really got me into gaming.
Took me a long time before I finished it though. Like 2 years. My PC at that time sucked and was slow as hell.
At first I found it peculiar that the shooting was kind of slow-ish, but this really add to the fun! The developers made many right choices about this one!
Fighting the Gorgor and the Achondar was awsome! I got lucky this time. I didn't know I could shoot my way out of Gorgor's mouth. But I guess it swallowed the backpack:p
What do you mean by not beeing able to play it right? Computer problems?
Tried one of those CPU-killers? Or set affinity to just one CPU core if you have multi-core, that sometimes help. (Task-manager after starting game, right-click process, set affinity). Not sure if it helps, I didn't need to do this.
Only thing that don't work on my computer is the Twon-Ha's. I can't ride them. A CPU-killer should work but I never got it working. No biggie though, just walk a lot and then use F-links:)
It just occured to me it could be you have to set compatibility mode. Test some different settings. I have "run in compatibility mode for windows NT", and disabled visual themes and advanced text services (not sure if its important but seems unneccesary), for all outcast executables (oc1.exe, oc2.exe and oc3.exe). But I'm almost sure I had diffent settings the first time, so try some different. Im running XP SP2 btw.
Oh yes, the developers really made the right choices with this game. They couldn't have made a better game. I'm still sad Outcast 2 got canceled ='( I was SO looking forward to that game. But, sucks for us Outcast fans.
Ah yes, I almost forgot the Achondar, also an awesome battle. Always fun to fight.
Lol, your backpack didn't return again? Haha, wel as long as you can get to the stuff in your backpack.. =D
I also can't ride the Twon-Ha's (which I always loved :))
In Okasankaar I can't climb to the boat light. He won't grab onto the final ledge, and that makes it impossible to stop Sankaar Fishing.
And the game crashes lot's of times lately. Almost everytime I go through a portal. But that could be because of my pc. It's old and I am in desprate need of a new one that actually works :|
I never heard of needing to install CPU-Killers. I only installed a patch so I could play the game. I'll look that up on the internet and install them. My boat light problem may be solved after that.
And thanks for all those tips! I will try it out. I hope I can run the game again after that. I hope so!
Whew, you really have to do lot's of things to get the game work, mh? ;) But it's all worth it in the end.
CPU killers are for fast PC's, to get the Twon'ha's working correctly. But I didn't get it work, but read others that did. I have tested Outcast on windows XP SP2 running on a 600 MHz something CPU, that worked perfectly. Also on a 2GHz and 2.5 GHz AMD64x2 (mine). On those it worked almost perfect, except the Twon-Ha's. All required setting compatibility mode.
Yes I tried some different stuff. But this game was'nt that hard to get running. Anachronox on the other hand (my other fav game)..
Sorry my explanation was a bit messy... on the 600 MHz thing, I didn't need any CPU killers. I know it says on the box recommended 300 MHz CPU, but my guess is its better to up that a bit? And set all graphics etc to max.
On the 2.5 GHz thing the CPU killer thing didn't work. Neither did set affinity btw, but that has worked for other games that was jittery.
First time (I just played through it two times) I didn't get to the boatlight either. Second time I managed to grab onto it once. I think (but not sure) you need to grab onto the corner to the left, not the straight ledge. But I could be wrong..
The game crashed some times for me too, but not often. Sometimes I got "bad audio track" but played well without music. Usually restarting the game worked.
You should try pronejumping to reach the boat light. I.e. jump first, then press space shortly afterwards and you'll (hopefully) lie on the topmost platform.
THE best game ever played. i got in 1999 and i was 3 and my bro was 7. he completed when he was 9 .i cant believe how underrated this game is. its like silver. that was a great game too. made at the same year.both great games
The ending and plot development really stayed with me after all these years. What a great game this was back in the day :)

DrWhooooooooo 3 years ago
Oh, and press "Run" in GlovePIE before minimizing it...
DrWhooooooooo 3 years ago
That should ease things a little, with that glovepie you mentioned. Good job :) When I'm back home I'll look it up. To be honest, I haven't tried the Cyana boat guy thing yet :)
DeliveringPunishment 3 years ago
Good luck with the boat guy thing then :)
DrWhooooooooo 3 years ago
Ah ok, I think I'll start up the pc where I played Outcast and load my savegame and try it again, maybe the guy will do the same as in your game. Thanks for trying!
As for re-assigning the buttons, how did you do that?? I have tried it too before I started the game but maybe I overlooked something! I want to use the mousewheel to change weapons 'n stuff too!
In my opinion, there are enough save slots :) I've used 3 so far, but because of my last experience, I should've used more...
DeliveringPunishment 3 years ago
Actually I just remapped "next weapon" to the middle mousebutton (clickin on the wheel). I couldn't set the mousewheel to switch, so I can only switch to the next weapon, not previous or holster them.
Its in the startup screen - settings - configure control (last icon - the joystick..)
However as I write this, I remember another option: GlovePIE (google it!). You would have to write a script for it, but I think its possible to use the mousewheel then. I guess I have to try that now! :-)
DrWhooooooooo 3 years ago
There, now I've tried GlovePIE. Why didn't I try this before? lol. Anyway, the script is really simple:
-------------------------------
numpad9 = Mouse.WheelDown
numpad3 = Mouse.WheelUp
key.0= Mouse.MiddleButton
-------------------------------
Provided numpad9 = next weapon, numpad3 = previous and 0 (zero) is holster it. Just start up GlovePIE, put in script, run and minimize, start Outcast. Now mousewheel changes weapons, and middle mouse button holster it :-)
DrWhooooooooo 3 years ago
Yes I've searched the whole area there, including the Gamor island, before I went back to the boat guy. Still nothing works. I guess I'll start a new game then so I can teach those soldiers a new lesson :)
I only needed the white helidium from Motazaar to upgrade the Hawk Mk-8 from level 0 to 2. You can switch to secondary mode and back by pressing '4' which represents the weapon slot. You'll notice the numbers next to the selected weapon switch between 0 and 2, this is for all weapons!
DeliveringPunishment 3 years ago
Ah ok, I haven't tried that! Before I started to play I remapped keys to WSAD, and weapon change to middle mouse button.
I testet the Cyana conversation, and then went on to explore Oru's island, but when I got back and jumped in the boat, he started to row to Cyana. But I didn't save any games though.
To bad there are so few saveslots. But if you really want, you could save the savegames folder other places just in case(Last time I played on two computers and had to copy it between them)
DrWhooooooooo 3 years ago
I've got an annoying bug in Okasankaar. When I went to Oru's island with the boat guy, I jumped out of the boat and selected the Cyana conversation. So Cutter asked the boat guy if he could bring him back but instead of getting in the boat again, I went to Oru first and discovered the rest of the island. When I actually wanted to go back, the boat guy didn't do anything. The Cyana conversation was gone too and on top of that I overwrited all my savegames on that island. I'm stuck forever now! :(
DeliveringPunishment 3 years ago
Hm, strange. Is the boat guy still waiting for you at Oru's? If so maybe you just can jump in the boat, but I'm sure you tried that.. I guess you can't swim either because of the Sankaar.
I can't seem to get a 100-100 score at the end. I got 103% quests and 75% "bonus quests". I guess the boat-light mission don't register somehow? Also I got an extra helidium for Azirad to carve (the old boatlight) I wonder if that is related(but though boat light works)? Or I haven't found all the quests.
DrWhooooooooo 3 years ago
Yes, he is right there where he dropped me of at Oru's island, and I already tried him to move back to Cyana by jumping in the boat but it didn't work.
It's screwed because I already finished the whole Shamazaar, Motazaar and Talanzaar world, except of a few tiny quests.
Have you already got the helidium upgrade for the 4th weapon (I guess it is called the Hawk Mk-8)? I did that with the white helidium from Motazaar, but I wonder if you can also do it with the old boat light?
DeliveringPunishment 3 years ago

Carlibengarli 3 years ago
Yes, Oru was the hunter with the secret :p
Hilarious how that ended lol!
DrWhooooooooo 3 years ago
Actually Oru's friend "Kyuran" in Okaar mentioned that he "knows the hunter's secret." Although I'm sure Oru knows as well.
Carlibengarli 3 years ago
I'm pretty sure Oru mentioned it before going on the Gorgor hunt, he even said what this "big" secret was lol. But I guess its safe to say Kyuran knew it as well :-)
DrWhooooooooo 3 years ago
I hated the Gorgor, it took me ages to defeat that. Hated the other Dragon thing from the tree area too. But absolutely loved the game. I have to say that bug never happened with me lol!
Adam18ImNotOkay 3 years ago
That thing used to scare the shit out of me! But to my defence I was about 8-9 years old when playing this? HAHAHAHAHA! Still a game of my heart though, takes me back so far and listening to that soundtrack, reminds me of the adrenaline it used to give me lol
EndlessEyesOfFate 3 years ago
i forgot to mention the amazing soundtrack :P
edaines 3 years ago
aaah, outcast.. still one of my all time favourite games. outstanding graphics, story, action, everything! and the gorgor bit was an especially fun one :D
edaines 3 years ago
Absolutely! Not to mention the build-up until you actually meet the Gorgor. The "real" one, that is;)
DrWhooooooooo 3 years ago
Does anyone know if it's possible to do something with the fake in shamazaar?
Carlibengarli 3 years ago
You can actually blow it for completing a mission. Someone (sorry is long ago) in the temple is afraid of it and wishes that someone (YOU!) takes care of the (fake) monster. :)
mcossy 3 years ago
Thanks for the tip! I have to try that on the next visit to Adelpha :-)
DrWhooooooooo 3 years ago
Ah! Ok :)!
Qampunen 3 years ago
Actually it was probably a bug in the game.
DrWhooooooooo 3 years ago
Where is your back-pack?
Qampunen 3 years ago
The Gorgor ate it :)
DrWhooooooooo 3 years ago
whats the name of the game??

I think it is "Outcast" :p
Just google "outcast pc game" or something, or look it up in wikipedia.
DrWhooooooooo 3 years ago
it's outcast

Beautiful game! I remember playing this on my old Windows Me computer! Brings back memories like few other games do.I wish I still had it.
juve3030 3 years ago
What a graphics!!! for being 1999 it was an austanding and a fantastic game, its a crying shame that it was a commercial failure, because it was a great game.
cdoi85 3 years ago 4
I couldn't agree more!
DrWhooooooooo 3 years ago
Aaah the Gorgor, I hated this thing. I was too fast and the control over Cutter too slow.
Kinkoyaburi 3 years ago
brilliant...excellent. This game was so far ahead of its time. Doing things that other games are only now doing. The whole wide open world approach, the excellent music, the smoothed voxels!
And the slightly goofy Cutter Slade character. AWESOME. I wish Appeal was still around and someone was making outcast 2. What ever happened to Yves Grolet??
scorpius420 3 years ago 4
Slightly goofy? :p The humour was really great, albeit a bit.. goofy at times, yes! :-) But it works!
Awsome game indeed!
I just finished Mass Effect, and although a different game really, and even if it does have way better graphics (of course), I would say Outcast is way better in so many respects!
Not the least concerning the AI! And..well, many many things. The ones you mention.
The story in Mass Effect is great though!
(me being a sci-fi nut)
DrWhooooooooo 3 years ago
this was way ahead of its time & its still neat now
Voxels ftw
swazidoughman 3 years ago 3
My comment went away? Anyway, yup, and voxels! Always liked them.
DrWhooooooooo 3 years ago
he swallowed your backpack heeheehaw. Man this game brings back memories, and it's unlike me to be nostalgic.
Mikutashi 3 years ago
That he did. I got it back later though:P
DrWhooooooooo 3 years ago
Yes sadly this game is VERY underrated. Makes me sad.
I L-O-V-E-D this game.
This was the first game where I was able to really get into the story. I really felt for those people I had to save. This game was what really got me into gaming.
Took me a long time before I finished it though. Like 2 years. My PC at that time sucked and was slow as hell.
And now, I just can't play it right anymore. =(
Awesome fight against the Gorgor, you got lucky!
I loved fighting the Gorgor =D
DKNC 3 years ago
I simply loved this game too!
DrWhooooooooo 3 years ago
What do you mean by not beeing able to play it right? Computer problems?
Tried one of those CPU-killers? Or set affinity to just one CPU core if you have multi-core, that sometimes help. (Task-manager after starting game, right-click process, set affinity). Not sure if it helps, I didn't need to do this.
Only thing that don't work on my computer is the Twon-Ha's. I can't ride them. A CPU-killer should work but I never got it working. No biggie though, just walk a lot and then use F-links:)
DrWhooooooooo 3 years ago
It just occured to me it could be you have to set compatibility mode. Test some different settings. I have "run in compatibility mode for windows NT", and disabled visual themes and advanced text services (not sure if its important but seems unneccesary), for all outcast executables (oc1.exe, oc2.exe and oc3.exe). But I'm almost sure I had diffent settings the first time, so try some different. Im running XP SP2 btw.
DrWhooooooooo 3 years ago
Oh yes, the developers really made the right choices with this game. They couldn't have made a better game. I'm still sad Outcast 2 got canceled ='( I was SO looking forward to that game. But, sucks for us Outcast fans.
Ah yes, I almost forgot the Achondar, also an awesome battle. Always fun to fight.
Lol, your backpack didn't return again? Haha, wel as long as you can get to the stuff in your backpack.. =D
DKNC 3 years ago
Well, there are just a few problems in my game.
DKNC 3 years ago
I never heard of needing to install CPU-Killers. I only installed a patch so I could play the game. I'll look that up on the internet and install them. My boat light problem may be solved after that.
And thanks for all those tips! I will try it out. I hope I can run the game again after that. I hope so!
Whew, you really have to do lot's of things to get the game work, mh? ;) But it's all worth it in the end.
DKNC 3 years ago
CPU killers are for fast PC's, to get the Twon'ha's working correctly. But I didn't get it work, but read others that did. I have tested Outcast on windows XP SP2 running on a 600 MHz something CPU, that worked perfectly. Also on a 2GHz and 2.5 GHz AMD64x2 (mine). On those it worked almost perfect, except the Twon-Ha's. All required setting compatibility mode.
Yes I tried some different stuff. But this game was'nt that hard to get running. Anachronox on the other hand (my other fav game)..
DrWhooooooooo 3 years ago
Sorry my explanation was a bit messy... on the 600 MHz thing, I didn't need any CPU killers. I know it says on the box recommended 300 MHz CPU, but my guess is its better to up that a bit? And set all graphics etc to max.
On the 2.5 GHz thing the CPU killer thing didn't work. Neither did set affinity btw, but that has worked for other games that was jittery.
DrWhooooooooo 3 years ago
First time (I just played through it two times) I didn't get to the boatlight either. Second time I managed to grab onto it once. I think (but not sure) you need to grab onto the corner to the left, not the straight ledge. But I could be wrong..
The game crashed some times for me too, but not often. Sometimes I got "bad audio track" but played well without music. Usually restarting the game worked.
DrWhooooooooo 3 years ago
You should try pronejumping to reach the boat light. I.e. jump first, then press space shortly afterwards and you'll (hopefully) lie on the topmost platform.
Frankelstner 3 years ago
Yes the backpack returned after this. But in the end here you see Cutter putting away the Mon in the missing backpack :p
DrWhooooooooo 3 years ago
god i loved this game but it doesnt play on it anymore =/ dude u know u can just shoot at it like crazy and it dies
zurox407 3 years ago
Tried that, but the one doing the dying was me:p Well, not me, but you know what i mean. (hm, dying..dieing.. whats correct here? haha).
