i'm still confused about the use of "un" and "une". i know un is masculine but how do we determine if it is masculine or feminine?

@sunurs04 Usually if a word ends with a e it's feminine, une voiture, une fenêtre, une table. If it ends with a consonant it's masculine: un train, un papier, un ordinateur, but be careful, there are some exceptions...

hey Chris, this is the crazy thing about learning French: what you read is not what you pronounce... This makes English sound very easy. :)

I know, loads of letters are silent in french, thats what makes it hard to understand whats being said.

Would be a lot easier if the written were more similar to the spoken.
