  • "Is this consecrated ground?" Sounds like something a vampire would say, just saying.

  • Mr. Bayham Badger looks like a walrus without teeth

  • Why does it matter anymore which person the inheritance goes too? Its going to the same family either way now

  • @mickeycrazy1 Well, if i was up against my cousin and there was millions at stake, i would care very much whether i got the millions or my cousin...from my cousin it would go to his relatives and slip futher away from me or my immediate family, we should soon never see a penny of it... not that i'm particularly interested in millions, but as an example.. greed and want of money make people silly...

  • i hate those quick shots...i think they take away from the movie...the sense of another time is misplaced with the modern shots and sounds.

  • hey , dont be mean people.. i like ester.. she has a strong personality. shes very cute.

  • shes freaking me out with that veil on.lolz

  • What's with these combinations in some period dramas. ..... another old man liking an extremely young girl

  • @Think533 Well i dont think it would work in period dramas, if a older woman like a younger man, it not wrong but in those times, it was rarely done. Also it adds drama to the story, because having two young men after a young girl isn't that interesting, but having a older one, make a different between the men.....I'm going on abit, sorry.

  • Gee esther is not much to look at O.O

  • I think if anyone called in the debt it would have been Guppy..not Mr. Jaundyce. Guppy works in the law and is creepy.

  • Mr. Badger is SO hilarious looking! :^)

  • The names of the characters are so horrible that it makes it hard to take them or the story very serouisly.

Did Mr. Dickens do that as a joke, try and make light of a rather dark novel?

  • @EJWorks All the characters in all Dickens novels have, shall we say, unusual and meaningful names.

  • @EJWorks The names of Dickens' characters have always been, shall we say..unique

  • the old guy wants her for himself-I think it was him who called in the debt to make Mr Woodcourt go away (?) Gupy reminds me of another Dickens character-the creepy under lawyer Uriah Heep

  • @renai0304 True, Jarndyce loves Esther, but he would never call in Woodcourt's debts. There's not a mean-spirited bone in his body.

  • thanks so much for posting this! please post the rest soon!
