@ fIugasche een is één when you use it as a word for how much or how many you have. For instess do you have a book. Yes i have ön boek. How many books do you have. I have één boek. In english één is one and ön is a or an.

@MathilSkategirl Well, actually you're right. Sorry that I was so coarse to suspect a nativespeaker. You must know that I started to learn Dutch on last Monday and I have some problems to get a precise overview of all pronunciations of the vowels as e.g. a, aa, ee, éé, ij, ie... Everytime when I believe that I eventually got it, there's another word coming up, that as to be pronunced differently. So that's extreme confusing even for me as a german nativespeaker with examined English skills.

@fIugasche één means one like the number 1. een means a, for example : een boek = a book.

@fIugasche wel you ave the een and één wich are actually 2 different things

een is the translation of a/an for example An Appel = een appel

but een is also the number 1 so to dont be confused it should be written like één

one apple = één appel

But most people dont use the accents on the E's at all but officially you should.
