  • This was one huge upset. Since I'm not a Mets fans I can tell you right now, I wouldn't have had it any other way.

  • what if beltran swung at the curve?? histroy would be made

  • @slapshot68 He would have grounded out... that was a DISGUSTINGLY wicked curve.

  • The Cardinals can rebuild Beltran. We have the technology.

  • Still feels great to watch!!!

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LOL

  • shit on beltran

  • after this years alds the yankees feel your pain...for once

  • Cardinals beat the phillies!!!!!!!!!

  • VERY few major league ball players could have hit that. Oh, Cards are in the playoffs...again. heh heh heh

  • thumbs up if you think the voice that said "oh boy" at the beginging sounds like howie rose

  • It's easy to blame Beltran but no one looks at the real facts. The poor pitching by Aaron Heilman and the mismanagement by Willie Randolf. Aaron threw cheese to Molina. Willie, runners on 1st and 2nd on and 0 outs, you bunt there, no question about it. No! He gets a battered, hobbled Cliff Floyd to the plate, way to go Willie, instead of playing the game, he got greedy, typical yankee. So Beltran is to blame huh, look at that pitch, it was a really nasty curve ball. It was a strike either way.

  • LET'S GO CARDINALS!!!

  • Don't blame Beltran; If he swung he would have missed. That was a beautiful curveball.

  • tell that asshole to shut the fuck up, he embodies everything wrong about a new york baseball fan. and I'm a hard-core mets fan

  • Were you there that night? I've been a Mets fan since '68 and next to Kenny Rogers walking in the winning run, that was the most disappointing way to go down. Had he swung, it wouldn't have generated as much buzz. It was a good curve.

  • It's hard to live that one down. But Beltran, for all his talent, never seemed to "cozy up" to NY fans and had that soft reputation. he's private perhaps but give the fans who pay your salary a little appreciation and not call this losing moment "just another game" as you did that night. This was NOT just another game. Que sera sera doesn't work.

  • I will never forgive Beltran for that!

  • OK, the deal is done apparently. This was Carlos' worst moment as a Met. He'd love to change it but then again he called this "just another game" and THAT is why the culture of the Mets has basically stood still these past 5 years. Good luck to Carlos in San Fran and thanks for only the good memories. Oh, this is MY video and my voice. Enjoy-I guess.

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • everyone shut up, cardinals as of right now at competing with the pirates? who are they? and its not the mets fault for sucking, bernie madoff invested in the mets and when he "made off" with all there money they had serious trouble with the cap, citi field also has alot 2 do with it, it suck and until the mets fix the wall, u wont see em win like they use 2 in 06, and the yankees won at least 10 WS when like 10 teams were in the league? thats easy u dont need 2 like the yankees but Respect them

  • fuck heilman and fuck beltran thanks endy for keeping us in that game

  • I think beltran is still standing at home plate. I THINK HE'S STILL HAUNTED BY THAT BIG OVERHAND CURVE BALL TO THIS DAY. yah, im a hardcore CARDINALS fan.

  • Imagine if Pedro pitched that game..

The mets would have 3 world series

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH fuckin Mutts fans are shit!!! Go Cards!!

  • @Edwardsjm HAHAH. too bad all the shards players are on the juice.

  • I think you were the only one talking in the park.

  • You might be right. It WAS quiet immediately after-except for some guys cursing in the bathroom, "SWING THE FUCKIN" BAT!".

  • Fuck heilman!!!!!!!!

  • Give credit to Wainright, that was the most nasty curveball's I've ever seen!

  • Give credit to Wainright, that was the most nasty curveball's I've ever seen!

  • I am a yankees fan but I really liked the mets and this was a magical season for them. It really sucked watching Beltran look at third strike from Wainright. When Chavez made that amazing catch I reallly thought they would win but damn Heliman blew it!

  • the mlb should of done the history will be made thing like the nhl does n ask this question "what if beltran took the bat off his shoulders?"

  • Lol! What gets me is that Mets fans were CRYING over one season. But they were right to cry. That was nothing compared to 2007.

  • I was surprised (but happy) that the mid- to late-2000s Met core of Beltran, Wright, DelGado, Reyes and Glavin never won a championship. They still have Beltran, Wright and Reyes, and still can't seem to put it together. Not that I'm complaining, but I just don't get it.

  • Swing the bat, Beltran!

  • *sigh* to be a mets fan, you gotta have heart

  • @circuiser mets fan here

  • @devilsholic lol bandwagon fan

  • @devilsholic lol bandwagon fan

  • @devilsholic lol bandwagon fan

  • @devilsholic lol bandwagon fan

  • @devilsholic lol band wagon fan

  • life as a mets fan just sucks ass

  • FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK MYYYYYYYYYYYY LIFEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE :'(

FUCK YOU CARDINALS GO CHOKE ON YOUR DICK IF YOU HAVE BITCHES

  • As a Cardinal fan, the LAST person we wanted to come up was Carlos Beltran! He definitely was a Cardinal killer. He KILLED us while he was with the Astros. In all the post season games he murdered us.

Now he comes up with 2 outs, bases loaded in game 7 of a division series...I was about to throw up! But you could see something dirrerent in Carlos' eyes..like a glaze.

3 pitches later and this became the best Cardinal strike out EVER!

  • hahah "WHAT A DIKE!"

  • i thought that this would be my favorite moment in Mets history. but the Mets (God bless 'em) topped it when they blew their lead in the last month of 2007 and made the most massive C-H-O-K-E in baseball history.

thank you, Mets, from a forever grateful Philles fan xp XP xp

  • What a long walk back to the bench...

  • This was the only time ever that the mets lost a game 7 clinching game at Shea Stadium.

  • @EMOTIONALLOGICABLE how many have they been in? 1?

  • @MrStones64 most teams do not lose game 7 clinching games at home, although the Yankees lost one to the Red Sox in 2004, and several others have too

  • @EMOTIONALLOGICABLE only because you wrote that the mets hadn't lost a clinching game 7 at home when they were only in one previously(game 7 against boston '86)... the yankees loss was predictable in that they had no pitching left and boston was a tidal wave against them at that point. i could see it coming the way they blew game 4.

  • @MrStones64 Remember 1988 when Doc Gooden still high on crack gave up the crushing homerun to Mike Scosia in the ninth, and drunk Roger McDowell game up the winning blow to Kirk Gibson in the tenth as the Dodgers stunned the Mets. The Mets won a great world series in 1986, but should have been back in the world series and won it again in 1988. This loss to me was worse than Beltran choking with the bases loaded in 2006.

  • @EMOTIONALLOGICABLE that was game 4, but can you find them on youtube?

  • @MrStones64 I put it into the search box and I can't find any. Nobody uploaded any game 4 1988 NLCS videos onto youtube.

  • @EMOTIONALLOGICABLE ok thanks

  • and never ever think Scoscia's home run off Gooden or Gibson's home run off McDowell.

  • Instead of crying about Beltran with the series losing strikeout. Close your eyes and think pleasant thoughts. Think Bass striking out against Orosco and Barrett striking out against Orosco.

  • mets aint got enough niggaz, thats their problem

  • I wish the Mets, Yankees, Phils, and Red Sox were all in the same division. I hope they do implement the geographic realignment soon. Can you imagine the craziness at all those ballparks?

  • EAT MY DICK MUTTS FANS! Not only is the franchise in disarray with an "ace" that is worth 3% of the money he is being paid and a "closer" that's going to jail, you have no gm or manager...oh and by the way you have 0 no-hitters in team history...Roy Halladay has given us 2 in 1 year....EAT MY DICK MUTTS FANS! GOOOOO PHILLIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @andyreidsweight shut the fucking up nigger where do u live?

  • @andyreidsweight Im white actually. Live in Philly, a city with a real baseball team though i must admit its fun watching the mutts try each year

  • @andyreidsweight um what did Ryan Howard do tonight? Oh the irony...lol. And no I'm not a Mets fans, just hate douchebags, ie Phillies fans.

  • @andyreidsweight youre a faggot, the Phillies are the worst team in mlb history.... 129 years old and only 2 championships HAHAHAH.. the Mets are an expansion team and have 2, which is pretty impressive.

  • @andyreidsweight Kiss my ass coming from a Yankees fan! We Fucked the Phillies up in the 09 World Series and stomped Roy Halladays ass after his perfect game! SUCK MY ASS PHILLY! GO YANKEES! And I hope the Mets kick your asses next year!

  • that was a nasty curve by wainwright

  • aw man thats extremely painful to watch. to think the mets were possibly one hit away from getting to the world series. wow! that hurts

  • The Mets need to rebuild - NOW! They're basically a mirror image of the overpriced 1992 squad.

  • so many mets hearts broken in that 9th inning. both top and bottom T_T

  • TRADE BELTRAN THE BUM!

  • Everytime i watch this, i feel like Beltran is gunna get a hit and everytime i see the strikeout i still feel like he would've crushed it

  • and they still suck 4 yrs later!!!

  • @musicguy550

Um, I'm talking about the 2009 World Championship Yankee team.

And I know that Melky Cabrera was traded for Javier Vazquez and I also Phil Coke was dealt to the Tigers for Curtis Granderson.

I'm just talking about to all the Yankee haters who keep accusing us of "buying" championships and underestimate the Yankee farm system producing players that also help the Yankees contribute success.

  • Hahaha. From the description: "Pray for a better 2007". Sorry about that, buddy.

  • "What a dive" Classic. LMFAO.

  • Thanks Sam. I don't why I said that-probably out of shock and dismay. I remember a guy in the men's room after the game scream, "SWING THE F*CKIN 'BAT!". Grief, pure grief.

  • that pisst the fukin hell outa me how did he just look at da ball hit it!!!!

  • That 9th innings became a nail-biter. Adam Wainwright stuck out Carlos Beltran who's been a Cardinal killer with the bases loaded. Go Cardinals!

  • Whoever the guy narrating is, I wish him nothing but misery.

  • i got so built up in this inning and then when he struck out, i cried, fucking ridiculous

  • NOOOO!!

    Hahaha

  • Fuck Carlos Beltran...he deserves that called third strike...shouldve never left Houston

  • no lie but i atually cried when i saw this....soo close but we didnt make it but we beat them in 20 innings yesterday

  • i'll never forgive beltran for LOOKING at that pitch. bases loaded, 2 out, down 2, and he strikes out LOOKING. thats the mets for ya.

  • YADI! YADI! YADI! YADI!

  • I'm not even a Cards fan but I celebrated like one after this pitch. Maybe because Wainwright was originally drafted by my Braves. Beltran got schooled.

  • guy who took this video is such a fucking cornball.

  • its ok they won the next year... right? or the year after right? well at least they did well and went to the playoffs right?

  • Oh my goodness. What a.....DIVE?!

    ROFLMAO!

  • u got to watch a complete underdog celebrate on ur field, lol lol mets suck

  • "F*** YOU!" " wooo! you didnt hear that folks!" lol!!

  • Pond Scum

  • i love the agony, fuck the mets.

  • fuck you

  • beltran sucks asshole

  • I remember this! My cat had just been died, and I was sobbing uncontrollably, then Adam Wainwright threw the final strike to win the NCLS, and I started crying harder, Tears of JOY! Cardinals were in the World Series!

  • Fuck your cat.

  • What the hell man? I was 11. Just because the Mets lost, doesn't mean you can be rude.

  • "My cat had just been died"

Are you serious with that statement?

  • Serious.

  • Check your grammar.

  • ? Check my grammar?

  • @75Scout2Man This is true-besides, the Mets suck cock and will continue to blow in 2010

  • Yep

  • The day that killed a mets fan...

  • tough shit

  • I heard that after the Yadier Molina HR in the top of the 9th, it was so quiet that you could hear the cardinals players talking in the dugout. Was that true?

  • yep... i was sitting in the upper deck half way up and i herd them screaming

  • yup

  • this was one of the most exciting series i ever remember watching i was rooting for the mets:(

yankee fan here but gonna look out for the little brother met:)

    but damn sad

  • HA HA GO CARDS !!!!!!!!!!!

  • man after that strike the entire stadium came quiet. damn

  • guy who took this video is mad corny.

  • Thanks. I had a better sense of humor than the Mets that night. In fact, I was so good the owners decided to bring the house down in my honor. Ha! Ha! Ah, the good ol' days.

  • i wuz watchin at home, i literally dropped 2 my knees n just sat 4 twenty minutes. i couldnt do anything else, even if i tried.

  • i found it hard to talk after i lost my voice from celebrating!!

  • I was speechless when I watched this at home.

I found it difficult to talk.

  • i honestly felt the same way and i am not goin to lie i thought i was goin to shed some tears just cuz they got sooooooooo close to at least making the world series

  • fking heilman!!

  • and this is where the choking began.

Ha if u want to get rid of a Vampire u chase him with a cross. if u want to get rid of a mets fan chase him with a calender opened up to September

  • Fucking bases loaded he hits a double into the gap and we win

  • But he didn't.

  • BALL 1 Curveball outside, but he should have swung anyway

  • You gotta protect the plate. Back in 86 when the Mets beat Houston in that sick 16 inning pennant winner, Kevin Bass got grief for swinging at the curveball down and away but if doesn't swing and it's called strike three, then he REALLY gets grief, the way Beltran should have and DID after the game.

  • I have the 2006 WS DVD, and I just love watching that called third strike on Mr. "Cardinal Killer" Beltron!!! Wainwright just FROZE him up!. Allmost as fun as harrasing Darrel Straqwberry from the old Bush Stadium bleachers in the 80's.

  • that curveball was sick from wainwright, i remember watching this game

  • Yeah totally Darrel Straqwberry.

  • AKA Darrel Juiceberry, sorry........

  • dude you wrote ur username wrong, i wrote

    NyYankeesRthaBesT, i thought it was

    NyYankeesRthaMothaFuckaZ

  • what did u record it with please write me back

  • I recorded this with a simple digital Sony camera with video capability. Not great but not terrible. And good ol' Shea. It's gone and Citifield is up and running.

  • What did u record it eith please write back

  • maybe you should learn proper english, dickhead

  • wainwrights second best pitch, the game 5 strikeout was the best. Curveball!

  • Wow! Shea was never so quiet...

    RIP Shea Stadium

  • i remember watching this at home, standing RIGHT in front of my tv and my heart beating like rapid fire.. i just couldn't believe it ended this way, i had no words

  • Meet the Mutts. THEE failures of baseball...ROFL

  • breaking ball , STRUCK HIM OUT and the Cardinals have won the Pennant! Molina Leaps into the arms of Adam WainWright, as the rookie colser Strikes out Beltran looking and the Cardinals celebrate b4 their trip to detroit!

(And the METS SUCK AND WILL NEVER GO TO THE PLAYOFFS EVER!} Beltran is a b!tch. He didnt even swing he just stood there with the bases loaded and took a strike. STRIKE 3 . METS LOSE :)

  • ur such a fag ur a yankee fan commenting on a mets video last time the yankees went to an lcs 04 wat happened there CHOKE last time the mets went to an lcs 06

  • Mets lost the final game ever to be played at Shea Stadium. What a dumb way to make history...ROFL.

At Least the Yankees won the final game at the Old Yankee Stadium defeating the Baltimor Orioles 7 - 3. Winning the final game ot be played at yourball park is a huge accomplihment and the mutts lost the final game at Shea Stadium. Mets suck and Always will

  • ur such a dumbass it dusnt matter wen people look back on this season in new york their guna remeber that last year of both stadiums and both teams not making the playoffs no one gives a shit that they won the last game there u no the last yankee to hit a hr there, jose fucking molina laugh about that HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA wow beltran>>>>molina

  • @rabble000

And the Yankees won the World series in 2009 with Jose Molina on the team. ROFLMAO!

  • @rabble000

Well, you're the one brought up the 2004 ALCS choke. And the Yankees offset that with winning their 40th AL Pennant and 27th World title in 2009.

And if you want to bring up chokes, how about the Mets coughing up a 7-game lead with 17 to play in 2007 and lost the AL East title to the Phillies and didn't make the playoffs.

Finally, world series rings: Jose Molina 2, Carlos Beltran 0. Game, set and match.

  • jose molina 2 arod 1 what your point?? i agree that molina is the far superior player and beltrans a piece of crap cuz he dusnt have a ws ring

  • @joesakic91

    Correction NL instead of AL.

  • Who gives a fuck about Jose Molina he wins rings as a backup catcher. He doesn't make a difference

  • @2rad008

Um, Jose Molina is part of a team and it takes a team, not individuals, to win world championships.

  • @joesakic91 ur a fuggin corn, game. set. match is tennis jackass, this is baseball, get it right

  • @777danzig

And who's fault is it? It's NOT the New York Yankees.

It's the owners of the those teams like the Pittsburgh Pirates that recieve the money from the larger teams like the Yankees and the Boston Red Sox via revenue sharing and putting that money into the owners pockets instead of putting it back into their own clubs.

  • @grillcookr2

Andy Pettitte started his career as a Yankee. Made his debut in 1995 with the Yankees.

And sure, they bought A-Rod, Tex, CC Sabathia and AJ Burnett, but they also have Brett Gardner, Melky Cabrera, Ramiro Pena, Robinson Cano, Francisco Cervelli, David Robertson, Phil Coke, Joba Chamberlain, Phil Hughes and Alfredo Aceves all drafted, developed and brought up from the Yankees farm system that were on the 2009 team to go along with Rivera, DJ, Jo-Po and Pettitte.

  • @grillcookr2

So, the bottom line is that you're just a plain old, textbook, Yankee hater who doesn't see everything and judges the Yankees like a book: by its cover without reading the whole story.

Case closed. I win, you lose.

  • @777danzig

Um, Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera, Andy Pettitte, and Jorge Posada all came from the Yankees farm system. And so did Robinson Cano, Phil Hughes, Joba Chamberlain, David Robertson, Phil Coke, Melky Cabrera, Brett Gardner, Alfredo Aceves and Francisco Cervelli.

The Yankees play by the rules just like everyone else.

  • @777danzig

Does the media markets make any difference?

When the Yankees come to your town, they help you fill up those seats in KC, Colorado, etc.

The problem is that the owners of small market teams are not using that money to put it back into their own team.

If you still have a problem with that, don't go to any games involve the Yankees because they're helping those smaller clubs fill those empty seats.

  • @grillcookr2

Um, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle, Whitey Ford, Yogi Berra, Thurman Munson, Derek Jeter, Bernie Williams, Phil Rizzuto, Bill Dickey, Elston Howard, Billy Martin, and others were drafted and developed by the Yankees farm system.

  • @777danzig

And who's problem was that? It's Wayne Huizenga and then Jeffrey Loria's fault for not keeping those players with the Marlins, not the Yankees.

As i said before, if small market teams like the Marlins would put the money they receive from the large market teams into their team rather than the owners pocket, they could put better players on the field and keep their best players.

  • @777danzig

And as for your shot of the Yankees being creative in winning, they have done that.

The Yankees won the most WS titles since MLB implement the Draft in 1965 with 7 including one title 2009 in the Bud Selig Luxury Tax/Revenue Sharing era that started in 2002.

So, the Yankees know how to adjust to MLB rules and still play by them and win titles.
